Ford - Focus :: 2002 Won't Lock And Unlock / Remote Starter Keyless Entry
Let me start by saying the car is the 2002 ford focus and has a remote starter keyless entry and alarm that has been in stalled years ago so the one day I'm trying to go inside my car and the unlock button on the key fob doesn't work so I put the key in the door and open it all the doors unlock.
I ignored it when I'm leaving the car I lock it with the key fob it chrips then my son rushes outside and opens the door. That's when I noticed the door didn't lock then I try the door switch to lock and unlock the doors but nothing happens I tried the passenger switch nothing
Symptoms : Both driver and passenger door lock switches are not working If I hit the unlock button twice on the key fob all the doors unlock...
Intrigue :: Keyless Entry Programming - 3 Chirps Never Happen
I have a 00 olds intrigue. Just bought a new keyfob and followed directions to program but after I insert the key the 3rd time and release the unlock switch, the 3 chirps never happen. I even tried pulling the bcm pgm fuse but didn't work. Pgm directions are, close dors, insert key turn to on, remove key, hold driver unlock button in unlock position while inserting and removing key 3x but don't turn ignition, leave in on 3rd time and let go of lock, then you should hear 3 chirps, after chirps press and hold keyfob lock & unlock together x 14 seconds then you will hear another chirp. I never get the first 3 chirps or anything after.

If your truck came with the FOB to open the doors remote, but not the keypad on the door, you can add one. Originally the keypad was hard wired and was an expensive option. Several years later the newer keypads were RF signal just like the FOB. If you have or had FOB, then you have the keyless module on the truck (mounted to firewall infront of the emergency brake).. All you have to do is buy the newer style RF keypad, stick it to the door, and program like the FOB. I just did this on a 2002 F150.

Have already fixed the weak lock motors on my 2000 F250. Now I can't get the truck to go into programming mode. I know it has Keyless entry, as I located the relays and identified the wiring while trying to fix the weak locks before I found the fix here.
I've tried the key on off 8 times but the locks never cycle. I've tried it with the driver door open and closed, cycling the locks from unlocked to locked to unlocked before cycling the ignition switch. Tried cycling the ign switch 5 times, 8 times and 10 times.
Prius (2010-12) :: Can't Hear Backup Beep Outside Of Car
I just found out that the beeps that i hear when in reverse is only for people in the car to hear. outside of the car, with the doors closed, i cannot hear anything. is that by design or is there something wrong?
i would think the beep (for those who changed it from the default) or continuous beeps would be useful to warn whoever may happen to be behind the car since the prius is dead silent at times.
Ford Excursion :: 2000 - Remote Key Fob Programming
My 2000 excursion will not enter the program mode to allow me to program 2 new remote fobs. A couple of years ago I successfully programmed two remotes and it was easy. One broke so I thought well I will buy 2 more. I have tried the procedure over 100 times and I can not make it work. Followed instructions to a tee that came with the fobs and also the procedure in owners manual. Is there a relay that could be bad? I can use the door number code and my last key fob still works fine. I have disconnected the battery, both cables, held them together for 1 minute and left them off for 1/2 hour. Still no luck.

Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: Programming Remote Start FOB?
I have 2 fully functioning keys but I am looking at trying to program a miscut key I got for my truck just for the fob. What Id like to do is basically leave my key in the ignition and have a FOB with the actual key cut off so it is only the head containing the fob. I can remote start the truck, unlock the doors and then get in a use the key in the ignition as normal. I just hate the hugs key on my key ring. Is there a way to program the key fob, not the PATS key. Its miscut so thats not an option.

This just started tonight. The double beep and blinker flash still works when unlocking, but now when locking...it no locker beeps or flashes the turn signals. It also doesn't dim the interior light if I hit it twice.

in practice, can the horn beep/click sound /another type of noise be disabled - or even turned down in volume - for keyless remotes[*] that activate the alarm?
my '10-or-so Hyundai Elantra horn beeps upon the second time the lock button on the keyless remote[*] is pressed. The second time the lock button on the keyless remote is pressed, the car alarm system is supposed to be activated. The system itself works perfectly. I think this is the way every keyless remote/car ever made works.
I cannot find any instructions - in the car manual or otherwise (yes I have the car manual...)- for how to prevent the horn from beeping as described. If the door is open while the button is pressed the second time, the horn does not beep. I have been doing this preferentially. However, there is no indication that the alarm system is active - and I have not yet attempted to open the hood or anything like a fake break-in after the alarm system activates. I have not brought this up with any Hyundai service center... I don't think they can handle such an unusual question.
Prius (2004-09) :: Keyless Entry / Doors Will Not Lock - Long Beep Or Nothing
I have a 2008 fully loaded Prius.
Keyless entry. it will not lock but pressing the black nubs or via either set keys. It some times beeps or does nothing.
I verified all doors are closed and there is no door open light on the dash. Every time I exit the car the car gives 3 beeps and the key light on the dash flashes.
Sierra :: Keyless Remote Stopped Working
2003 Sierra 2500HD crew cab, my keyless entry remote stopped working completely after I unplugged and connected some wires behind the glove box. I was digging around trying to find the cabin air filter, which I later found out this truck doesn't have one, when I unplugged some wires from a module so I could access the air box easier. I unplugged two plugs that had a handful of wires each, as well as 2 coax type cables. I re-connected all wires when I was done, but when I tried to use my keyless entry remote it didn't work. It worked perfect before this, less than an hour prior.
I had another remote battery so I went ahead and changed it, still didn't work. I tried reprogramming the remote by putting the truck in program mode with the procedure for this truck, but never got the truck to recognize the remote during this process.
I also disconnected the truck battery for 20 min, reconnected then tried reprogramming with same results, remote not recognized.
What the module is behind the glove box? Is it the BCM? Any reason unplugging these wires and plugging them back in would make my keyless entry stop working? I can't find any fuses related to keyless entry, and haven't noticed anything else on the truck not working properly. I really don't like going to a dealership, what else should I look at to diagnose this?

Sierra :: Keyless Remote Not Working - Passenger Window Is Down And Cannot Get It Up
This problem started a month ago but was intermittant. Now the passenger window is down and I can not get it up. The keyless remote doesn't work at all. I open the drivers door with the key and I can open the drivers door and window from inside but not the passenger door or window.
It is now raining with my window open and a plastic trash bag over it.

I have a 2005 Prius. The remote keyless entry just stopped working for locking and unlocking the doors. I replaced the battery and it didn't affect it's performance. The key will still start the car without inserting it into the dashboard. It feels like the unlock portion of the remote is "stiff" and does not depress. It is toyota model number B31EG.
