Ford Wiring/Electrical :: 2001 F250 Blinker Stuck On / Not Flashing
I wired up a new set of halo projector headlights. I put in load resistors for the led marker/blinker bulbs I purchased. I tested the resistors and after a few minutes I hooked up the halos for the headlights into the running lights. Noticed the resistors were pretty hot, burned my hand. I then accidentally touched the hot marker wire to the ground. That popped the fuse under the hood. But now that same side blinker. Same wires I grounded that also got hot. Blinker stays on, light on dash too. Checked blinker relay it's fine.

I also have a problem with my left blinker and my break lights. My right blinker works just fine, but my left blinker and break lights will not come on unless I pull the blinker switch forward a bit- as if I'm going to turn my brights on.

today i work on to replace my tie end. i have a 2001 vw passat 1.8. i get the pin bolt out and the top bolt out. then i use the tie rod removal to pull down the ball joint, but it only come down half way and it stuck there. no matter what i do it stuck half way and it seems like there is something in there to stop it from coming out. after many attempt of hammering it down and using cro bar. the tie rod end broke off the ball joint just like the picture below. is there any thing else i missed that why it stuck half down?

This is a car i am working on. 01 4motion passat. automatic. Tree fell on it. We put a new roof, quarter, door seats. Last night we moved it outside to clean the shop and went to move it back in. Won't shift out of park. Next tried turning ignition on the backing it off a little and cant get to neutral. Check fuses.
Brake light switch has been previously replaced by someone. and it works. Light next to gear selector working. brake lights fine. I have taken the center console out as much as I can. I can't get it completely out. But everything in there seems ok. When I press the brake in I don't hear any click or anything near the selector.
Passat (B5) :: 2001 - Brake Lights Stuck On When Headlights Turn On
MY friends's 2001 Passat has an issue. Brake lights work fine when the headlight switch is turned off. When she turns the headlight switch ON, her brake lights are stuck on. Left, right, and center. What could this be? Seems like maybe a fuse or brake light switch.

02 Hyundai Elantra I'm having issues with the lights for some reason or another when I turn the headlights on the blinker don't blink it stays on constant and when there off it blinks but it looks like the flashers are Going off but the left turn signal works with no issues. The dash lights blink to when the right turn signal is on.

When you turn the blinker on, all of the signals and the flashers work fine, but after you turn the blinker off the blinker sound clicks sporadically for a few seconds, sometimes a minute after the blinker is off. The arrow light and the blinkers don't actually blink, just the sound from around the center console. Sometimes it will click a few times when you haven't even turned the blinker on. What's going on?

I recently had a dash light pop on indicating that I had a light out. After searching all over the car I realized that the blinker in the passenger side mirror housing is not working.
From what I've been able to gather by looking at my driver's side mirror there are 3 small LEDs (two facing the side and one facing forward). On the passenger mirror all three of the LEDs are not working.
I find it very hard to believe that all three LEDs have burned out, since they rarely burn out at all. Why the lighting on that mirror isn't working? I haven't noticed anything else that isn't functioning at all or properly so I'm stumped.

my front driver side blinker light is giving me some trouble. The side marker & rear blink fine, but the front does not blink. The bulb does work though when I turn my lights on, but just won't blink.

So as per my prior post i was having issues with my directional (blinker) the clicking sound would continue after the blinker turned off. Replaced the hazard warning relay (whole hazard switch) and the problem is still happening. I was playing with the actual blinker control arm today and i got it to make the clicking noise without the flashing light to come on so that seems to be what the problem is. Thinking to have that signal arm replaced? I think that it is not totally disengaging after i turn the wheel. is this something i could do myself? I have the bentley manual to take apart the steering wheel.

I just had the ignition switch replaced on my 2001 Toyota Sequioa. Now my blinkers work but will not shut off after I complete the turn. Additionally, the blinker "stick" is very hard to move in either direction. I plan to take my car back to the dealer and politely request this blinker repair be warranty work.

I have a 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan that has some intermittent starting issues.
Symptoms: put key in, dash lights up. turn key, 1 "click", and then nothing, won't start, no extended clicking or anything. Sometimes it will start after a few tries, sometimes come back later and it works. Battery also seems to drain relatively quickly sitting, and so sometimes needs to be jumped if sitting for a few days.
Also, had a really strange experience where after it had to be jumped while driving, the dash and blinker totally went out, but car kept running. This happened a couple of times. I suspected something with the battery, so I had it tested and it checked out OK. Also, cleaned the terminals/battery cables w/ cleaner, wire brush, steel wool and sprayed some corrosion prevention stuff on there. It did need to be cleaned, but, alas, the problem continues.
Ford F-150 - 1997-2003 :: 2001 - Replaced Blinker Switch Now It Won't Start
This is a truck at work, I had my student workers put in a new blinker switch, and when they were done it won't start anymore. The "theft" light is flashing on the dash, so I guess the PATS system thinks it was tampered with. How could you trigger this by changing the blinker switch? Does this have to be reset by a dealer?

My wifes car has an issue of the blinker relay energizing after the blinkers are turned off. The relay is a hazard/blinker in the same relay. Once the blinker is off the relay clicks but the blinker nor hazards blink.
