My Honda Accord 2002 feels like brakes apply themselves when driving. Car slows down and brake pedal is really sensitive meaning it feels harder than usual and easier to brake. Dont know if it is the brake master cylinder, brake booster or something else.

When I use the turn signal or brakes while driving or parked there is no problem, but once I apply the break the back right side does not work. The light bulbs also burn out faster on that side.

Passat (B6) :: While Apply Gas To Reverse Vibrations Coming From Front End?

So yesterday afternoon I did my driving thing. First stop I made I put it in reverse to pull out of the inverted parking ramp and had to apply gas to do so. And just got a nasty vibration coming out of the front end. A few times during my drive I would find an open lot to test reverse under load and get the exact same thing. I also noticed between 55-65 I would get slight vibration on the highways (Could just be balance since I'm on new tires). Well, I was thinking maybe a CV issue since reverse under load is where you typically feel that first, so I jacked her up this morning and cranked on the drive lines. Nothing seemed loose or sloppy and just got the usual clanking noise in the auto tranny when switching directions.

Avalon 2005-12 :: Driver Side Wiper Blade Lifts At Speed On Down Stroke - Tension Spring Soft?

We took my 08 Touring down to Florida for our vacation, and while she performed great- {average 28-32mpg @ 70ish mph} -she fell shy of expectations when we hit a few light rains. At speeds above 70 the drivers wiper blade would clear on the up stroke but not on the down stroke....yes, 1st thoughts are go slower, but that isn't a real answer for me.

Before leaving I installed new brakes {rotors/pads/hardware} all around, new Michelin tires {all 5} and "new wiper blades" {rain-X}. The new brakes were very useful going thru the stop and go traffic in Atlanta, the new tires were very useful in the twisties of Tennesee's hills...but the wipers had me getting lapped often on the way back home due to the lifting issue above 70, so I kept to 65-70mph.

The way I see it, it's either the wiper blades not having enough "ramp" on the blade for the wind to push it down at speed, or the wiper arm tension spring is going soft.

My car is an '08 with 154k...{no leaks/motor still has great power/went 3400 miles and she didn't burn a drop of oil!}.

Passat (B5) :: Driver Side Wheel Shakes And Rattle Noise When Slightly Apply The Brake

Ok everyone the good weather is back, so the drivers side window is down and, I am back to diagnosing an issue that I've been having for some time now. BTW were dealing with my DD 02 1.8t wagon. So all the time over any little bumps in the road or anything that i roll over that "shakes" the drivers side wheel I get this terrible rattle noise. I mean it sounds like I am a dump truck bombing down the road with a bunch of shovels in it......well not that extreme but that sort of shake noise. Anyway the noise however does not occur over any bumps when i even just slightly apply the brake. So I know that it has got to have something to do with the brake rotor or caliper or something on that wheel. Any common issues with brakes? I mean i doubt it is hurting the performance of the vehicle but it is extremely annoying and i feel like something isn't stable that should be until i apply my brakes.

I have 57K miles on my 1.8t. It runs great except for the first start of the day. About half of the time, first thing in the morning it runs rough for the first 30 seconds. Like it is running on 2-3 cylinders. Then it sorts out and runs great the rest of the day. I took it to my dealer where they charged me $200 to replace the spark plugs. I would prefer to fix this myself if I can.

Passat (B5) :: 2002 - Engine Cut Out And Car Is Dead - Cranked Sensor

My 2000 2.5 V6 TDI Passat has just died.. was doing 60-70 and went to change gear and the engine cut out, tried to restart and its just cranking over and over. Did have a message on the display and the glow plug light on when i was coasting something about management but didn't get the whole message, wasn't on for long.

The recovery guy reckons it might be the crank sensor.

The cambelt should have loads of miles and time left before it goes.

I'd like to sort this myself or at least be sure of what the problem is before i take it anywhere, so what to check for?

There's fuel in the filter and it turns over fine (it could be my paranoia but maybe cranking a little fast)

i just changed a CV joint to fix one problem yesterday, this is the last thing i need!

My 2002 Passat 1.8T just turned over 100K miles and coming home from a long ride the other day I went round a curve and got the STOP-low engine oil pressure alarm. I immediately stopped and checked the oil and it was full. I restarted the car and the alarm was gone so I drove on home and around a few more days.

Then last weekend it happened again. Now if I crank it up and try to drive up the hill it comes on. Having it towed in the morning to the shop. Is it just a bad oil pump, bad censor, stopped up oil screen or what?

Passat (B5) :: 2002 - Engine Warning Light Came On With A Misfire Whilst Doing 40 Mph

I have a 2002 Passat 2.0L petrol (130bhp AZM Engine), with single DIS Ignition coil pack. The engine warning light came on with a misfire whilst doing 40mph (no previous warning or indications of potential problems), which is present at all engine speeds. I had the code read, indicating a misfire on cylinder three. I have completed the following checks:

1) Cleared the codes and restarted engine.
2) Replaced the spark plugs with new ones.
3) Old spark plugs were in good condition with no oil, no deposits and the electrodes in good condition.
4) Checked HT lead condition and found no corrosion, a tight fitting cap and no damage to cable.
5) Earthed the HT lead and have strong spark when engine turns over.
6) Checked the injector electrical connections with a bulb tester and all is fine.
7) Removed the fuel rail and extracted cylinder 3 injector.
8) Performed a visual inspection of injector with all looking good and no blockages at the jets.
9) Tested the injector on the bench using a 12V battery to ensure it opens and closes correctly.
10) Replaced the injector in the rail and turned the engine over to check for blockages, with all injectors operating.
11) Swapped cylinder 3 and 4 injectors (misfire still on cylinder 3, no change)
12) Inspected fuel and air connections and ensured no leaks.
13) Checked the engine oil condition with no evidence of water contamination (head gasket).
