Lexus SC430 :: OEM Radio Head Unit Fuse Location
Where is the fuse located for our OEM radio head unit? I have no power coming in for the head unit and hopefully it's just a blown fuse!

View 6 RepliesLexus SC430 :: AC Unit Causing The Car To Vibrate
The air-con unit has caused the car to vibrate (only way to describe it) quite badly.
It started in January (which is winter in the UK) so I switched it off and it stopped - hence my diagnosis that it was the ACU at fault.
As spring approached and the temperature started to rise, I put it back on and it appeared to work fine no vibration and plenty of cool air.
Occasionally (one or twice over many 1000's of miles) it would do it, but cycle it off/on and it went.
I figured it was probably the serpentine belt that needed replacing - which happened on the service last month, they advised it was worn so I was right to replace.
Yesterday the vibration came back with a vengeance, and my suspicion is that perhaps the belt-tensioner should also have been replaced as these have a limited life so was slipping due to the extra load of a hot day and me switching the ACU on.
A small edit after submitting - I'm assuming it HAS an automatic belt tensioner that is based on some spring mechanism - can't believe you'd have to adjust these manually?
Lexus SC430 :: Navigation Unit Will Not Allow To Enter A New Address
On occasion the navigation unit will not let me enter a new address. I have the car turned on, in park, and the screen has the address option grayed out. It will let me enter previous destinations but not new addresses. This has been occurring more frequently recently. If I drive for a half hour or so,the address then becomes available again (sometimes it does not). It is not the disk, I have tried a new one with the same results.

Well I cracked the clear plastic lens on the AC control unil while removing it to replace the factory radio. Where I can just get the minimal parts to fix this? Seems all I can find online thus far is only replacement of basically the whole control unit.

I noticed the light below which seems to be a headlight self leveling error appear today. I know it came on a while back and disappeared butt the place its located is unnoticeable as its in the top corner and you have to tilt your head to see it so not sure if it came on many times.. But yeah I saw it today while waiting for my turn at the car wash since it was nice and sunny out and I leaned over to pull the foot brake release then saw it... It seemed to disappear a few minutes later.. then I stopped somewhere, came back started car and same thing and then it disappeared again. A while later it came on stayed on..
what could it be? I am aware that there maybe a 2 sensors, one in front and other in rear axle? I also know there is a module for left and right side... I am wondering what it could be, but I haven't got the code read yet..
Lexus SC430 :: Error 3 Code Fixed And Now Can't Load CDs?
So yesterday I had Error 3 code display on my cd player and after messing around with the device i was able to get it to eject all the cds. Thinking all was well, i tried to load one cd and it won't even respond to me pushing on the button. There is no noise or error code coming from the unit. Whats going on here?

The car has an obvious misfire and the scanner says its Cyl # 8. I tried the "italian" tune-up and under heavy throttle the miss goes away. I swapped coils and the miss stays with Cyl # 8. I pulled the injector, and can't see anything wrong.

Yesterday everything worked. This morning nothing. Screen seems to be functioning but no sound comes through the speakers. No sound from radio, CD, nav, blue tooth, nothing. So yesterday i was installing my new JVC Headunit, after taking ages to take of the dash so i can remove the old radio i plugged in the new one and all the lights and everything worked... Then later after putting the dash back and plugging in the head unit the lights came on for 1 second and then it wwent off. The clock isn't working now, when i plug in the headunit you can hear it starting up but there is no light or anything coming on, and also the side mirror controls don't work... I'm thinking possibly one of the fuses may have blown but i don't have a clue where the fuseboxes are, how to get to them and which one i should be looking at.

my 07 Camry has about 80k miles on her. I got fed up with the boring stock head unit and decided to get a new 8" headunit that would match the interior touch screen and all. Anyways I'm a fan of my AC as I normally use it. I took it to the audio shop to get my new headunit installed. I drive a couple hours enjoying it and decide to put on the ac. My problem is The air conditioning is only coming out of the passenger side now very cold and stale warm air is coming from the driver side vents. I can't figure it out. I got upset and went back to the shop to see if maybe they did something wrong and didn't hook something up correctly.
So they did everything they could and showed me that it wasn't any of there doing and that it's extremely "coincidental" that this happened immediately after they installed it. Anyways I'm also noticing that the light pointer above the dial on all 3 dials on the AC unit are not lighting up. And the light I am talking about is the pointer light that points and which measure of heat/cool comes out. The middle buttons still work and are lighting up as well as the off/on ac portions night back lights are working properly.
Also I have only the standard AC unit. Not dual climate. All my vents are set correctly as I never really mess with them. is there a possibility they could have damaged the Blend Door actuator. And know where the blend door actuator is located on a camry?
