I am trying to remove the drink compartment so I can remove a pen that has lodged behind the lid on the cup holder?

I came into my car, I was cleaning my cup holder and the bottem is MELTED! All I keep there is GUM and drinks. The melted plastic is the same dent as if I staked the gum box. What kind of cheap plasic is Lexus using? I can't believe its gotten THAT hot in the car. Heck, I would figure other things to melt first. To top it off, the gum box looks ok. No plastic smell from it either.

My son was getting out of the back seat and pulled his coat across the cup holder in the center console and broke it. The dealer said that I have to buy the whole arm rest for $1100. I can unzip the leather and there is two screws in the back that can be removed and the cup holder comes out. Can replace just the cup holder?

After going through the car wash several times now in my 2010 RX 350, my front license plate has been bent in all different directions. Car wash guys say it's due to not having a full plate holder, where as 4 screws secure the plate vs. only the top 2 as we have. I have had recurring problems with the VSC, Trac, and check engine light continuing to come on. I have taken it to the dealership several times, once the said it was because a rat had chewed through a harness. I payed to have the harness fixed and the lights came back on.
My real problem is,I notice that the mouse excuse has come up several times when people take their vehicles in to the dealer.
Lexus RX 2004-09 :: What Is The Function Of ECT Snow Switch
Just purchased a 2007 RX350 w/front wheel drive. We just had our first snow storm in Boston. The manual says to use the ECT SNOW switch when it's slippery. Around here, it's slippery a LOT! What exactly does that switch do? Should I leave it on the majority of the time will my mileage get worse?
Is it acting in effect, like 4-wheel drive?
Lexus RX 2010-15 :: Auto Function For Headlight Not Working Anymore
I've got the switch set to Auto for headlights, etc. Nothing happens anymore (running lights used to come on during the day and headlights at night). Is there anything I can check?
I guess I'm curious where the sensor is just to look and make sure it's not something stupid before going to the garage/dealer.
Lexus RX 2010-15 :: Disable (auto) Function Of Intermittent Wipers?
2015 RX350 with Nav. Is there a way to disable the "auto" function of the intermittent wipers to gain manual control when in intermittent mode?. With the rain sensor and speed sensor, often even with the intermittent control at the fastest setting, the wipers don't swipe often enough. Especially when driving at slower speed or waiting at an intersection, the intermittent swipe takes so long that I must manually turn on the wiper to low speed. This makes no sense to me. Just because I'm driving slow or at an intersection, Lexus thinks I don't need clear vision?
This is the first vehicle with rain and speed sensing wipers and it will be my last. This is not only annoying it's a safety hazard.
Is there a user configurable setting to change this? Or is it something the dealer can disable?

If I understand the manual the "Steering wheel auto away and return function" can only be turned off by the dealer. Is this right?
What do most of you do? Seems nice to have. But also could be a lot of wear and tear on the two motors to do this. Is it worth it.
Lexus IS 2014+ :: Disengage Remote Opening And Closing Windows Function
On my is, I can remotely open and close the windows and sunroof with my key, by holding the buttons for several seconds.
I seem to remember that this function was engaged by my dealership. however i do not like this function, as I always carry my key in my pocket, and have several times opened the windows by accident because the key button have been pressed while i have the key inside my pocket.
I want disengage this function, preferably without visiting my dealership. Any step by step manual or how to do instruction? Does not say anything about how to do this in the cars manual.
Lexus LS 2007+ :: 2010 - Disable Driver Seat Auto Away Function?
I'm taking a long road trip with my '10 LS. I'd like to pack items on the floor behind the driver's seat but am certain that the "auto away" function that moves the seat all the way back when you turn off the car will crush my items. I checked my manual and my Carista app but nothing about disabling this feature. How to do this?

Hopefully this isn't a big issue, but I got in my car this morning and tried lowering the windows and only the driver window would function from the driver controls. The windows work fine with their own door control, but not from the driver's seat.
