Lexus RX 2010-15 :: Speedo Vs Average MPH Read Out
We've had our 2013 RX350 CPO for about a month now. We traveled to NC a few weeks ago and I noticed that the speedo would read 70 but the computer Ave. MPH would read 4 mph less. This was using cruse on the highway. In about an hours time I zeroed the Ave. MPH a couple of times only to have the same result. It still is happening at any speed. Is it a dealer issue?

I have a "new to me" 2009 Touring that I purchased on 9/2/10. She had approximately 35K miles on her and an Average MPG of 39.6. While I have managed to increase that average up to 41.7, I'm tired of looking at the results of the previous owner's bad habits.
I have hit the Reset button on the Consumption screen several times, but the only thing resetting is the number of miles driven. I have reset both the Trip A and Trip B Odometers, again the only change is the trip odometer reading, NOT the Average MPGs.
This is making me a little crazy as my previous car was a 2004 Prius and the Average MPGs AND miles driven automatically reset any time I filled up with fuel.

I have been realizing that random every so often miles or months (varies completely) that my average fuel consumption resets itself and starts retaking brand new information and has discarded the old. Is this normal?

I've got this irritating squeal sound when I ride over speed bumps, already for a few years. Every time I go to the dealer, they try to fix it, though never fixed it completely. Once they added some kind of lubrication, another time they changed one of the suspension parts. However I still have the issue.

Ford 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel :: 2003 F250 - How To Reset Average MPG Calculator
I have a 2003 F250 4X4 PSD. How do I reset the "Average MPG" calculator? I asked because I have doubts that it is functioning properly.
Example:
Zero load, high-way driving.... the display shows 14.4mpg.
Zero load, in-town driving... the display shows 14.mpg.
1,000 lbs in the truck, pulling 4,000 lbs on the high-way for 600 miles (each way)..... the display shows 14.2mpg.
And since I've returned from the trip mentioned above with the 5K of load, it has not changed from displaying 14.2mpg.... even though I am back to high-way driving with zero load... been through 6 -8 tanks of fuel.
My expectation is that when I am traveling without a load on the high-way that it should get the best MPG. Subsequently, when I am pulling a load, utilizing the "Tow" function (without engaging O/D), that it would get worse MPG. However, it appears there is virtually no difference registered / displayed in MPG regardless of how I drive or what I tow.
Sonata I45 (YF - 2011+) :: Average MPG Fluctuating A Lot?
I purchased a recertified 2011 Sonata GLS with 15k miles about a month ago. It has treated me well so far but today it started doing something really weird. I refilled the tank about 60 miles ago and reset the average MPG gauge when doing so. I was averaging 28 MPGs and it was fluctuating no more than .2 MPG when accelerating, going up hills etc. With 60 miles on the gauge, the average should be relatively steady and has been. Until tonight... On the way home from work my average MPG suddenly dropped down to about 18 or so, and was fluctuating up to about 25 MPG on flat roads. Whenever I would accelerate even a little it would drop way down to around 18 within a matter of seconds, and come back up to 25 in the same amount of time. It was acting more like the instantaneous MPG gauge...

Filled up my 2012 Lexus Rx450h in NJ. They don't have self-service there, so I don't blame myself, but gas cap not tightened. Check Engine light is on, I tightened gas cap, light still on. Is there just a fuse I can pull to reset the warning light? There seem to be a few fuses labeled ECU. Exactly which one should I pull ? If I don't, how soon before it will it reset on its own?
