View 4 RepliesCamry :: 2010 Headlight Adjustment - Low Beam Does Not Allow To See Very Far Down The Road
I suspect that I already know the answer but will ask anyway. In another lifetime I could adjust the headlights on my car (two spring-loaded screws on each bulb for up-down and side-side adjustment).
The low beam on my 2010 Camry seems to run out at about 30 yards. Some night I am going out and actually measure it. High beam has no problem as it goes forever. It just seems that the low beam does not allow me to see very far down the road. I have not asked the dealer yet and thought I would ask here first. Is there a way to adjust the headlights on these new cars with the total headlight system in one big package?
Passat (B5) :: Low Beam Bulb Go Out On Driver Side - Headlight Adjustment?
I had a low beam bulb go out a month ago on the driver side. I bought some silvania silverstars to install on both sides. The drivers side went fine but as I installed the passenger side the inside reflector housing came loose, apparently popping off some spring clips inside the headlight housing. The passenger side headlight assembly now pointed towards the ground 10 feet in front of the car... I tried to adjust the screws to bring the light pattern back up. No joy.
Anyway I messed and messed trying to get the reflector housing to fit back on the spring clips. I ended up having to pull the bumper apart and the whole front side of the car to totally remove the headlight assembly. Once I got it out I found these little ball/socket spring clips and was able to put the assembly back together.
Now my issue is I have lost track of the adjustment screws and where the headlights should point. Any formula such as, "park your car 10ft from the garage door on the flat level. The low beam should be 30 inches off the ground on the bottom and the 40 inches at the top. The beam should be 50 inches from the center line of the car" Something like that so that I can get my headlights back to factory settings.
Lexus LS 2007+ :: Brake Pedal Height Adjustment - Any Way To Reduce An Inch Or So
Perhaps a strange question, but is there any way the pedal height can be decreased. On my 2010 LS 460 it seems to be higher than on my previous 2005 LS 430 to the extent that I lift my foot off the accelerator pedal and miss the top of the brake pedal. It's happened often enough that I've been wondering if it could be reduced an inch or so.
View 1 RepliesLexus GX 2010+ :: 2006 GX470 - Automatic Rear Suspension Height Adjustment
I have a 2006 GX470. It has some sort of automatic rear suspension height adjustment. When it is malfunctioning the rear of the car is jacked up like I have pimped it out. I use the height adjustment button but when I resume driving the car moves back into the neutral position which is not neutral at all it is jacked to the top. I had the sensors replaced once for $1,000 but within a year it was doing the same thing.
Now the light flashes to lower the back end but the back end doesn't move. I am stuck in the jacked up mode.
Lexus RC F 2015+ :: Low-beam Triple LED Headlights Aimed Way Too Low But High-beam Okay
My car is fully stock, with all options available to me (cold weather package not available here). The low-beam triple-LED headlights are aimed way too low compared to all my previous cars, and where they should be. BUT high-beam is aimed properly. So if I adjust the low-beams up, my high-beams might end up lighting up the trees, not the road.
If adjust the headlights up on a fully stock car (not lowered at the front)? Are the high beams still lighting up the road fine? And if you can be specific as the number of turns on the screwdriver, it'd be good too to have an initial adjustment reference.
Sonata I45 (LF 2015+) :: Automatic Headlight Turning On Low Beam Too Early?
I've been noticing this in the past week, when I'm driving about at around 5pm, the headlight would turn on if I leave the stalk on AUTO. Except it's BRIGHT daylight! Sure it's the beginning of sunset and the sun was to my side, but the amount of light is still extremely high. I see no visible difference between it and driving at noon in terms of the amount of light on the road.
Turning the lights off and on again doesn't work...The low beam does not come on when driving in the morning around 8 or noon, only in the afternoon. Even if the sunlight was shining right on the dashboard, the low beam would still be on in the afternoon.
Makes me wonder if this is a sensor calibration issue( I have nothing covering the sensor) or if it's like this by design. Making the headlight turning on extremely early so that Hyundai doesn't get sued by someone because the light "came on too late" and caused an accident. This is extremely annoying as it uses extra power to run the lights unnecessarily, and not to mention shortening the life of the bulbs. My current work around is just turning on the parking lights...sure the tail are still going to be illuminated, but better than the low beam at least.
I do want to keep the DRL on, but there is no "DRL on" option on the stalk, only "DRL off" to shut everything off. If I want DRL, but not automatic headlight, there is no way to do it, except turning on the parking lights instead.
I don't recall this issue on other brand vehicles I have owned...and about 95% of the vehicle I see coming the other way, under the same lighting condition, is running on DRL only(Assuming they have Auto headlights). What's the trigger condition for the low beam for hyundai..?
Lexus LS 2007+ :: Headlight Pointed Downwards - Adjustment?
I just put in a new headlight for my 08 600hl. My issue is the head light is pointed downwards. Is there a thread that shows how to adjust the headlight.
View 5 RepliesLexus IS 2014+ :: Headlight Adjustment To Be Raised Up A Little
Recently lowered the car and can't adjust but notice that the headlights need to be raised up a little. I have searched Club Lexus high & low for a 'how-to' on here, but all that populates is the 2IS threads, or threads for the ES and GS models. I am looking for the 3IS 250/350 F-Sport headlights.
View 1 RepliesPassat (B6) :: Power Tailgate Height Adjustment?
So I can successfully set the height at which the tailgate should stop, and in fact, the "power" function seems to stop there. But once the motors stop doing their thing, it just keeps slowly creeping up, as though the gas pressure in the struts is too strong for the tailgate weight. It's brand new, so this wouldn't be surprising. But is that the way it's supposed to work? If so, what's the point of setting a height at all? In my case, I want it top stop just a couple inches before hitting my garage door.
View 1 RepliesLexus RX 2010-15 :: RX350 AFS Headlight Aim Adjustment Vertical (up)
I am trying to adjust the vertical (up) AFS headlight aim on my 2010 RX 350. They currently point too low and do not illuminate the roads well enough at night. Note that the vehicle has the AFS HID headlights that are located next to the front grill.
The owner's manual provides do-it-yourself (DIY) instructions. Electronic version may be linked here: [URL] .....
I found adjustment bolt A elsewhere. Adjustment bolt B was found as illustrated.
Following these instructions on p. 512, I have tried adjusting the two silver bolts for the left and right AFS headlights by manually turning each pair of bolts on both sides with my fingers rather than a Phillips screwdriver, but no effort appears to affect the AFS headlight aim either vertically or horizontally.
The instructions also recommend taking the vehicle into the dealer if the headlights cannot be adjusted this way.
Lexus GS 2006-11 :: Headlight Aim / Vertical And Horizontal Adjustment
My headlight aim is all out of whack, the driver side light is aiming all the way to the passenger side. I searched the forums and know where the screws are for the vertical and horizontal adjustments. Counter clockwise for making the headlights go up and you're suppose to go the same direction on the horizontal adjustment as well. But my driver side headlight is aiming so far towards the passenger side already,I need to get the horizontal adjustment back to the left, which direction to turn? Clockwise or Counter?

View 4 RepliesLexus IS 2014+ :: Headlight Adjustment - Lights Beaming Down On The Ground
Tried to find how to adjust the headlight on 2014 IS250 since it was lowered on RSR Super Downs. Very hard to see anything up front with lights beaming down on the ground. I've tried to find it in the manual book, but it's not there. Found only DIY for 2nd GEN IS's. Seems like the 3IS is different from the previous GEN.

I have been using it a lot over the last 2 years since I bought my 2005 3.0 TDi. Love the car, have had a few issues but nothing major. When I press the button to raise the belt, nothing happens. Seat are 18 ways ventilated massage seats.
View 3 RepliesLexus GS 2006-11 :: 2013 - Low Beam Headlight Going On Then Off
In December, 2013 I got two new bulbs - according to the invoice they were Xenon D4S. Around July, 2014 the driver side headlight would stay on for 20-30 seconds or so and then go out. I took it to the shop that installed the lights and they said they replaced the headlight and gave me back the car. I noticed that night that the problem wasn't fixed.
I took it back to them and they said it must be the ballast. At this point, I don't trust them, because they didn't stand to gain anything from replacing the bulb as parts and service were under warranty, so I'm not convinced they actually did anything (especially given that they didn't even test it before giving me the car back).
About 2 weeks ago, I noticed that the same thing is happening on the passenger side, and they both go off at the same time. I find it hard to believe that both ballasts would go out and the timing would be identical. The problem is, now, I cannot test it by switching the bulbs from right to left because they both do the same thing. According to Xenon Depot there are a lot of Phillips counterfeits - does that apply to Xenon bulbs as well?
Should I buy new headlights and try to install them? I'm looking at Xenon Depot [URL] .... and it looks like the D4S Xenon bulbs, but there are other bulbs. I don't know which ones to buy. Is it likely that the problem is electrical because they both go out at the same time?
