Not the typical "why don't they drop down" question. Mine do drop down in reverse. Any way to only drop the passenger side mirror? I strongly dislike my driver's mirror dropping down.
I frequently find and park in a space with a curb to the right of the car. And I park close to it to leave maximum space to the car to my left. In order to minimize the door dinging potential. I like the RH mirror to drop so I can put the tires like an an inch or so to the curb.
But I very rarely ever curb park to the left side. It makes it too difficult to get out of the car.
That being said, I look for obstacles out my LH & rear view mirror. I can't see obstacles when the LH mirror is pointing at the ground. Yes, I look at the screen in the car also.
Any way to change this? I have not found a setting in the customizable setting menu for this.
Lexus LS 2007+ :: Side Passenger Mirror Will Not Unfold Once Car Has Been In Park
The side passenger mirror on my 2008 Lexus LS460 will not unfold once the car has been in Park. The mirror still tilts but I must get out of the car and walk around to "unfold" or straighten side view mirror when I put it in Drive.

Came out to find my drivers mirror had been ran into by someone walking by and now the mirror won't retract. You can hear the gear moving, but the housing doesn't move. The mirror works just fine, just the folding action is not working. Before I remove the door panel to remove the mirror assy, can you replace the gear inside or do you have to replace the entire assy?

Lexus LS 2007+ :: 2008 LS460 - Folding Side Mirror For Driver Door Stopped Working
My self-closing door feature on my driver door has stopped working recently. The other three doors self-closing door feature works flawlessly.
Is there an easy solution, such as a fuse? Or, does something else, more extensive, need to be done, i.e., should I seek out a professional mechanic?
As an aside, around the same time (if not the same time), my folding side mirror for my driver door stopped working. Any possibility they are related?
Lexus ES 2007-12 :: Leakage In Passenger Side Axle - Replacement?
I just bought a 2007 Lexus ES 350 last month with 40k miles and I LOVE the car. I took it in for it's first oil change today at the dealership and they found a leak in the passenger side axle. There was grease all over the place and they told me I needed a new axle. They mentioned it looked like the damage was pretty recent. There is a remanufactured Lexus part they offered for $300. If I let them replace it, the total including an alignment will cost me $650. My question is.... Can I buy the part and replace it myself, then get the alignment done at the dealer to avoid all the labor fees. I consider myself mechanically inclined. Have done my own fair share of maintenance work from oil changes to valve cover gasket replacements.

Golf/GTI VI :: Broken Side Mirror Glass - Replacement?
Someone broke the passenger side mirror on my '10 GTI. They broke only the glass, not the housing. Is the glass available as a replacement part, or do I have to replace the entire housing/assembly? If this is a quick cheap job, I'll do it myself.

My daughter backed out of our garage and clipped the passenger side mirror assembly on our brand new 2017 Santa Fe. The casing on the assembly is broken where it hit our garage door track, but the camera, etc. works fine. I was quoted over 900 bucks to replace this part - 87620 4Z500 - and I'm assuming that is a quote for ALL of the parts of that assembly (guts and all). Everything works, and we'd just like to purchase the plastic casing, have it color matched and DIY. Is there anyway to do that?
