Ford - Explorer :: 1998 - Locking Doors With Key Remote And Door Switches No Longer Work
I can unlock the door(s) of my 98 Explorer using the key remote and door switches but locking them with the key remote and door switches no longer work. What could it be?

I believe my GX470, 03 model, use to unlock the drivers door automatically when I removed the key from the ignition. Now that the battery has been replaced the doors no longer unlock when removing the key. Is there a way to reprogram this?

I have a 08 corvette that allows you to walk away from the car with the fob in your pocket and the car locks without having to touch anything once the fob is a certain many feet away from the car. I like that option and I cannot figure out how to do it on my wife's 2013 RX ( or even if it will work that way)
I don't drive her car that much but it seems inconvenient to have to remember to touch the little depression area on the outside driver handle to lock the car. I know, I could just get used to it , but just walking away without having to do something seems more simple and should be an option in a car of this cost and technology.
Is it possible to program the car to lock all doors when I walk away with the fob and not having to touch anything on the car?

I would like to know if there is a way to activate the automatic door locking when leaving the car, my car is oiut of warranty and i remember that i had that option on my car, but for some reason, i doesn't now. 2010 ES350, 84,000 miles. I have seen many threads on door locking/unlocking issues but none quite like mine that I've been able to locate. The key fob stopped locking the doors a few weeks ago, neither will the lock button on the drivers door inside the car. No sounds, beeps, lights or mechanical attempts to lock the doors. There are no indicator lights or messages suggesting an issue.
I can go around and manually lock all the doors, hit the lock on the key fob, and the car will beep and light up as if the locks worked fine. I also manually locked each door separately and in all combinations, the only combination which will enable the beep as if the door locks work with the fob is if they are all locked. The fob will unlock the doors however, unlocking has not been an issue.
My first attempt to correct was to disconnect the battery for a few minutes, reconnect and they worked fine for a week or so. The next time, with all the same symptoms, disconnecting the battery did nothing, the fob, however did start working a day or two later. The third time it happened we took the car directly to the dealership who has had it for 5 days and have been unable to identify an issue (the fob started to work on day 3).
Lexus RX 2004-09 :: 2007 RX400h Keys Stopped Locking / Unlocking Doors
My wife said that her keys stopped locking/unlocking doors. I checked the keys and replaced the battery just to be sure. No change. Older keys also couldn't unlock/lock the car.
Both keys can start the car and has blinking red LED flushing when any buttons pushed. Is there a "Remote" button somewhere in a car to allow remote operation?

Lexus IS 2014+ :: Pandora No Longer Opens When Phone Synced To Car
Since yesterday I have no longer been able to stream Pandora. When I try to load Pandora it just buffers endlessly, finally saying Pandora was unable to load. So tried to just stream it off my phone through BT, Pandora failed to load on my phone. Thought maybe the app on my phone broke, but it loads on my phone just fine when not synced to my car.

I have a 2015 IS 350 F-Sport with just under 9K miles. Occasionally, the car takes a little longer to start with a few more cranks. I've never had to push the start button twice. Once, it really seemed to struggle to start, but it did. I've had the battery/starter/alternator checked at 2 different local auto stores, and everything checks out fine.

I have a 2014 Lexus IS 250 that is only 10 months old and my key FOB isn't unlocking the doors. I've tried using both keys. I don't think the batteries are dead since the power light still works on both keys, and they are not even a year old. Not to mention it would be very coincidental that both keys would die at the same exact time.
I need to get to work but don't want to get there and not be able to lock my car.

How, when u have ur keys in ur pockets or whatever and place ur hand behind door handle and it unlocks drivers side door? How do I get other doors to unlock from the drivers side? I always have to unlock my then open door and press button to unlock for passengers.

I can't find an explanation for this but I dropped the car off to have windows tinted.
This AM I picked the car up and when I press the lock button, the doors DO lock but there is no longer a chime and the lights dont flash.
I've gone into settings and made sure that that setting is turned on and it appears fine but it still doesn't work like it did yesterday.
FWIW - the chime does sound for UNLOCK, just not lock.
Passat (B6) :: Both Front Doors No Longer Can Be Unlocked From Outside
Question for the group. I've searched on this and found a few others had the issue but didn't see a definitive cause listed. Both front doors no longer can be unlocked from the outside of the car (interior handles still work). It started with the driver's side and then an hour later "spread" to the passenger side front door. What would seem to be specific cause. I don't know much about the mechanisms that control the electronic locks (or even where they are housed) so need to know the cause and remedy for this.
