Lexus GX 2010+ :: 2013 - No Ringing Sound From Car Speakers Intermittently?
2013 GX paired with iPhone 5s via bluetooth. This has worked flawlessly for a long time but now it is acting up. When I make a call from the car with speed dials, call history or contacts, I do not hear the "ringing sound" from the car speakers. I just see "calling" and then "talking" when it is answered. I checked volume on both phone and touch screen, made sure my phone was not on mute, disconnected and paired my phone again, all to no avail. The crazy thing is sometimes it works normally, and sometimes just silence.
Once the phone call is answered I can talk normally, etc. just no ringing. Yesterday, I used the redial to call "Time" about 7-8 times and it worked correctly 3 times and the others it did not. The thing Is, this necessitates looking down at the touch screen while driving to see whether it is dialing and when the call is being answered. When someone calls me it rings normally. I am under warranty but my dealer is quite a drive away and since it does this intermittently I am sure when I took it in it would be in a "normal" phase.
Lexus RX 2010-15 :: 2013 RX350 - Cabin Rattling Noise From Inside Side Panels
We own a 2013 RX 350, purchased less than a year ago. We are experiencing this rattling noise coming from inside the side panels, its frequency changes depending on road and weather conditions like if road is rough or if its windy. We have taken the vehicle to Lexus Service three times so far for the same issue, they have acknowledged the issue. Last service took almost a month but still no remedy.
As of last service, Lexus took the entire roof liner down to fix the issue but it came back after one day post service.
Noise is extremely irritating because it occurs next to driver's left ear and is annoying as anything can be. Same goes for right ear for the front passenger.
We have owned Nissan Maxima, BMW and Lexus before and none of the vehicles had this issue.

Got my CPO 2012 RX350 in July, everything has been great
winter has been tough here in the north with -30 Celsius (-22 F) every other week. when it's that cold there's squeaking noise from the dashboard / windshield area. mainly from the intersection of both.
Once the car is out of the garage it's ok for a few minutes then noise starts. this only happens if the weather is colder than -10 C (14 F) (i can't blame the car as my bones squeak when it's colder than-10 ) This is definitely an expansion/contraction issue.
The dealer indicated that they will have to remove the dashboard to fix the problem and recommended that I wait towards the end of the warranty, observe other issues and fix all at once as multiple removal of the dashboard may bring new problems (i.e. snapped pieces may get loose).
Elantra MD (2010-15) :: 2012 - Radio / Remote And Lights Inside Do Not Work
After replacing the battery on a 2012 Hyndai Elantra the Clock, radio, remote control and the inside light stopped working. I saw a thread that says open the fuse box inside the car to the left of the steering wheel and push the Yellow Fuse switch to the Off position then click any button on the remote control then put the switch back to the On position and everything should work again which it did for about a month.
Now the remote, the radio, clock and inside lights are not working again. I did what i did last time and everything works fine when the switch is in the OFF position, but when I put it back to the ON position then all these things stop working. All fuses are fine I checked the Memory, Multimedia, BMC fuses and they are all good. When the switch is in the OFF position the car gives you a blinking message SWITCH ON , which means it's telling you to have the switch in the ON position. I have 64, 000 miles which means it's out of warranty now.
Lexus GS 2006-11 :: Pistons Are Not Working / Re-ringing?
I have an 06 GS300. 73k on it. I finally took it in to the dealership for the fuel pipe recall and I told them that the check engine light and traction light and the exclamation point all came on the day before and that it ran rough for a few seconds then the lights went away and it ran fine. The codes were stored in the computer and they said "they needed to re-ring the pistons".
They are doing this at no charge!! They have had it for 20 days as of today. They said it was a huge job and they are doing it at no charge even though my power train warranty is up because starting Jan 2012 this is a "bulletin item" that they have begun to fix.
Here is my question- Since this is such a huge job and it sounds as though they have taken my entire engine apart, what should I expect when I get it back?? I am afraid that by taking it apart, I will have more problems than when I took it there.
Lexus RX 2004-09 :: RX330 Incoming Bluetooth Call Not Ringing
I've only had my RX330 for a week. Dealer set up our phone to work in the navigation screen. Everything worked fine until tonight. When we get an incoming call it no longer 'rings' through the car's audio system. How do I get the 'ring' back? The screen indicates an incoming call, but the ring has stopped.

I just changed my alternator because it was making a whining sound off/on, then just went completely dead. I got it back from the shop and that certainly fixed the problem. However, I now notice a very faint high pitch ringing from idle to 2.5k rpms or so, I hear it more so in the cabin. Also, if I hold at 1,500 rpms now the engine vibrates and stumbles right at that holding point, it didn't do that before. Is there a chance that this remanufactured alternator could be the problem?

I can hear a "ringing" noise that appears to be coming from one of the wheels. I can hear the noise when I have my windows down and am driving at slower speeds. The noise sounds similar to a bell ringing and the sound disappears when I apply the brakes.

This morning I went out to my RX450h in the garage and found the doors locked. I normally leave the fob in car in the door handle when parked in the garage and was surprised it was locked. Last night when I got home I did the usual...parked the car, got out of car leaving fob in handle. Did not lock car...just got out laving fob in car sitting all by itself on door handle. Came out this morning with all the doors locked and could not open until I went back in to get the spare. Once in the car I checked the fob and appeared to be functioning okay...meaning no signs of low battery. What caused this to happen?

GTI 337/20th Anniversary :: Noise Like Ringing Of Bell When Moving In Reverse
My car, whenever i am moving in reverse, makes this noise. It is not a clicking noise, but almost sounds like the ring of a church bell. It is not the banging of the bell but the ring of one. In the searches, everything and everyone was talking about a clicking, but mine is a loud ringing noise, and I have no clue, It also sound like the noise is coming from the back of the car.

I noticed recently that when my Ranger is sitting idle in gear (drive or reverse) it's making a high pitch ringing noise. It doesn't do it in Park or neutral. Just had the truck inspected last week so it's driving OK. I don't think it does it while I'm moving with the RPMs up, but maybe the sound of the engine is masking it, I don't know. Anyway, what this could be? Something with the transmission since it only does it in drive and reverse? It doesn't do it all the time but a lot of the time.

Just like the title says i have been hearing this ringing noise in my 2003 gti vr6 and its driving me nuts. Neither my mechanic or I could find this source of this noise with the stethoscope. It seems to be coming from the passenger side of the engine but strangely only happens when I LITERALLY shake the car or when its idling and revving. The A/C isn't working either if that means anything. First time owner of a VW by the way.

Passat (B7) :: Rattle And Reverb / Ringing Noise When Close Driver Side Door
Just recently I am having an odd rattle almost echo vibration when I close my driver's side door. I have tried it with the window down a bit and don't notice or get the noise. It almost feels like something is loose or being vibrated around and above the door.
I haven't had much time to look into it closely - It is pretty annoying!!!
Lexus ES 2007-12 :: 2010 ES350 - Vibration Inside The Vehicle While Idling
I finally traded in my car and picked up a black 2010 ES 350, CPO, with 33k miles. However, i feel a vibration inside the vehicle while the car is idling (even when it is fully warmed up) and i was wondering if this is normal on these models? I have owned a is250, and ls460 and I didn't really notice anything like it. It almost feels like my ex's toyota camry when idling (not as loud of course). Is there a recall that fixes it? or is this normal with FWD vehicles?
