Lexus RX 2010-15 :: Rear Center Console Cup Holder Button Stuck
Found out today the cup holder cover stuck open, button is stuck depressed so lid doesn't close, taken out this section before? I guess kids was having too much fun with it.

In the process of wrapping my center console in carbon fiber, have become stuck at this step here. How does the big button come off that selects Eco/normal/sport s/s+. ? The button does not slide through the bottom, like the snow and traction buttons, it is too wide. So it has to come off at the top, but how?

I have dismantled my trunk completely in order to install rear upgraded lights, as well as to install a new bumper to my kit. I have not put back the interior of the trunk yet. I went to let the top down so I could begin to remove the rear seat to do the mod to the subwoofer that a fellow forum member recommended and provided an instructional. But the top will not come down.
I was able to raise the top and the windows. But when I push the button to lower the top the red light to the switch blinks but nothing happens. My question, do I have to reassemble tyne trunk in order to lower the top. If that is the case how is everyone doing the woofer and amp work with the top lowered.
What I really want to do is lower the top partially so I can remove the rear sear set (top) so I can get to my subwoofer. Or maybe the seat can come out without lowering the top.
Lexus LS 2007+ :: Passenger Front Door Will Not Unlock From Any Switch In Car And Remote Button
Here is what is happening, if I press the unlock and lock button on remote or from any switch in the car , the front passenger door will not unlock! all of the doors will lock and unlock, except the front passenger dorr will not unlock only, it does lock,just not unlock, i think it may be a bad motor or actuator, I am sure it will be covered under the CPO warranty, especially since its only been less than 1 week since i had it.

How to replace this light? I haven't found any threads on this as it seems like it's easily overlooked. The light bulb is located at the back of the center console box that lights up when opened. It's very dim and I have a few LEDs hanging around I'd like to replace it with.

One of the brackets that connects the tray inside the center console is broken. I wanted to order the part but I only see the inside tray available to buy, not the brackets. I was wondering if I ordered the tray, will the brackets come with it? I don't want to order the tray and then it turns out no brackets, then I'll be stuck with an extra tray. The closest part number I see on Sewell is Part # 58801E.

I have a 2007 gs 350 awd with about 98k miles. I recently started noticing this strange vibration whenever i stop at a red light. I would describe the vibration as a shiver of some type where the RPM kinda drops. After the vibration, I started noticing my car using a lot of force on the freeway and giving me very low mileage. I did some research and changed the motor mounts, and cleaned the throttle. This slightly fixed the vibration but cleaning the throttle fixed the low mileage/using extra force when driving at high speeds. but the vibration still seems to be a problem. Also, does the exhaust possibly have any role in the vibrations?

I had my 04 Treg vagged over a year ago to turn off the seatbelt chime and turn on the DRLs when the hi beams are on. I have not have any problems related to the Vag. This week my ESP loght went on so I brought it to the dealer (a new dealer, who has not worked on my car before). Tech states that the Vagging may have screwed up the codes and caused the ESP fault and some of the other strange things that have happened such as Key Battery Not Found and my audio cutting out for 10 minues last week. He said he could not reset the codes because he did not know the factory defaults. He stated he turned my DLRs on when, in fact he actually turned them off.
Before he noticed the Vagging, he changed the Clock Spring. However, the ESP light returned on and they returned the car to me with the ESP light still on. The ESP light goes off when I start the car and initiall drive but it then returns on. Also, the ESP button on the console is lit off stating that ESP is off.
Lexus GS 2006-11 :: Trunk Won't Open With The Button On Key Fob
My trunk won't open with the button on key FOB, interior button, and trunk-lid button. I did check the glove compartment valet button multiple times as well. No luck there. The trunk does open manually with the metal key from the key FOB, just not the other buttons.
EDIT: The key FOB button works in that it makes the long beep noise, but the trunk does not pop. The auto-shut function does not work either. Just checked the driver side panel "TRK OPN" fuse and that's perfectly fine.
Could it be a bad solenoid? Bad latch or fuse?
Camry 2012+ :: Center Console Button Backlight Not Working
As some of you may be aware, I swapped out my OEM HU recently for an aftermarket one -- I show it in post 486 here -- and for various reasons, I decided to go back to stock. I got a pair of 70-1761 & 71-1761 wiring harnesses (because I have a 4-channel aftermarket amplifier) and in a lapse of judgement I tapped the dimming wire into the illumination wire.
Later that night, I noticed when driving with my headlights or parking lights on, the center console buttons don't light up. Specifically, the radio, home & other buttons don't light up and all & the climate control dial knobs are very dim. The ventilation buttons buttons of the HVAC all light up fine & my hazard & passenger seat belt light up fine.
I already check the instrument cluster dash light control & I notice the dial knobs react to it but are still very dim. The brightness of the instrument cluster doesn't match their brightness at all.
I went ahead an looked at my fuse box under the steering wheel column and checked the 10 amp PANEL fuse & it's not blown. For good measure, I swapped it out but the buttons still don't light up. I then checked EVERY fuse under the steering wheel column & non are blown.
In addition to that, I checked every 10 amp fuse in the engine bay fuse box & non of them are blown.
Lexus GS 2006-11 :: Nothing Happens When Satellite Radio Button Is Pushed
I have a 2008 GS350 AWD with Mark Levinson sound. There is a satellite radio button but nothing happens when I push it. Do I need to locate the number and get it activated before it'll work?

I have a 2008 GS350 AWD. One day, the trunk stopped working. The trunk button next to the drivers seat doesn't work nor does the button on the key fob work. I already pressed the valet button in the glove box, so I know its not that. Every time I try to open the trunk with the key fob, it'll beep but the trunk won't open. The ONLY way to get it open is to many insert the key that's hidden in the fob.
I read a couple of threads regarding this problem. Some say they went to lexus and was charged 1600 while others say they fixed it themselves.
One person said "They unplugged the wiring harness from the ECU (Electronic Control Unit? I guess). Once the harness was plugged back in the ECU reset and trunk works fine now. However they tell me it could happen again."
Where exactly is the wiring harness/ecu? Any diagram that I could follow?
Another person wrote "Took it to Lexus and they told me it would cost over $1600 to fix. Found your post, opened the trunk to disconnect the cable to the ECU. It would require some dissasembly. Leaving the trunk open, I disconnected the main battery ground and waited 5 minutes and reconnected the ground. This also reset the ECU. I closed the trunk and now everything works fine again."
Where is the "main battery ground"? Is he referring to the same battery that you hook up jumper cables to? if so, how do I disconnect the main battery.
Lexus GS 2006-11 :: Start Button Not Working After Trying To Program Key
About a month ago my key fob stopped working so I ordered a toyota smartkeymaker off ebay (the orange unit) which is supposed to reprogram the car and key to work. A couple weeks ago one day the car wouldn't even start with the fob over the start button but a new car battery fixed that issue.
so today I got the key programmer in the mail. I plugged it in and performed a program sequence but the key still didn't work unless I had it over the start button. So I performed an "all keys lost" initialization but that didn't work either.
few hours later my wife had to go to work so I went out to start the car and put the key up to the button green light came on, pushed the button and the car cranked for 10 seconds then stopped the following message was displayed under the speedo "check VSC". Tried it again same result. told her to take my car. I tried to start it again a few more times and same cranking without starting.
I hooked up my scan tool and it did not detect any codes. unplugged the tool and tried to start it again but now the start button is totally dead. if I press it nothing happens, no radio, no dash lights, nothing regardless if the key is over it or not. the door beep works and overhead lights. Got my volt meter out to make sure the new battery is still good and it is 12.65 volts so no issue there.
disconnected the battery for 15 minutes and reconnected it. start button is still not responding.
at this point I am not sure if the start button is faulty or if the programmer or scan tool damaged the ecu (not likely but who knows). Is there a way to bypass or test the start button to determine if it is bad or not? I will be inspecting the fuses in the morning. is there a way to verify if the ECU has been corrupted somehow aside from going to the stealer.

Tow/Haul button fallen off of the console shifter? Not really happy that my Platinum has a falling headliner, buttons falling off, mirrors are barely swinging in and out anymore, leaking cab, etc. I know of the third brake light problems and expected the mirrors to quit but looking for information on the button falling off or the headliner.

How to disable the "I AGREE" button that appears every time the car is started? I have seen other posts that refer to this issue on other non GX models, and take about putting the system in "simple mode" by pressing the SCAN button eight times, then the REPEAT or another button after that. I have tried this on my 2006 GX but with no luck. After I put the audio system into CD playing mode, I press the SCAN button repeatedly and quickly but all it does is scan the audio tracks.
The only other thing I know about my GX is that it is still on its original nav software, and is scheduled to receive the update which my Lexus dealer says is coming out in October. Not sure if this affects its ability to bypass the "I AGREE" screen, or if the software update will affect it either.
Lexus GS 2006-11 :: Push Button Start - Key Fob Stopped Working
I have a 2006 Lexus GS 300 and about two weeks ago the key fob stopped working. I replaced two new batteries and nothing. I read up and found that if you place the fob over the start button and wait for the green light it would start. I have been starting the car like that ever since. Now here is the issue. Yesterday I went out to eat and when I was about to leave it would not start with the key over the button. I did not get a green light, nothing. after trying for about 10 minutes I got it to turn on the electrical system (basically it acted like it started but didn't) all the lights turned on and I saw the Check complete on the dash but the engine did not crank or start at all. Finally I disconnected the battery for 5 minutes and connected it again and was able to get it to start and drive home, now back to the same problem.

I have a 2006 Lexus GS 300 and I have had the car for almost two years now. I have noticed that when I use my keyless entry button to unlock and lock the car, its not as loud as it was in the past. My key fobs all have new batteries in them (2 kays for the car). Could this mean that I need a battery soon? When I first got the car, the "beep beep" noise from when you lock and unlock the car was louder, now you can barely hear it.

I just got a beautiful red '06 with only 19k miles. It's my second SC, and I can't believe how much I missed it after a four year break.
However, there's already trouble. The roof only opens intermittently. When it works, it's all good, no vibrations, nothing off track, smooth operation all the way open and close.
When it doesn't work, the red light on the open/close button will NOT light up. Nothing happens at all. I will come back to the car a few hours (or minutes) later, and it works fine. The problem never occurs for closing, only opening. Also, several times now I have closed my roof, and then immediately tried to open it again, but no deal. Those symptoms make me think it's not the ECU, but one of the sensors.
BTW, there is no Luxlink installed yet. I have yet to find one that includes the double-click option
