Lexus LS 2007+ :: Alignment For Car Lowered With Air Suspension / Factory Air Camber Adjustment
I have been seeing and hearing conflicting information about alignments for cars lowered with air suspension. I was told there is nothing that can be done to adjust camber for tire wear on the cars with stock air. However, I have seen online that it can be adjusted with a smaller drop on the air. What is true and what isn't?

Door on the T-reg that is hard to get latched completely? I'm finding a need to reopen/slam the driver's door on a regular basis. Is this something the dealer can "adjust" for me? What would it involve? I don't think the other three doors need to be slammed anywhere near as hard.

Parked my car at work and some jackass hit my car and left, fender is the only part showing damage, but somehow my check vsc lights are on and the alignment is way off. Is there anything behind the passenger side fender that would cause this? I'm getting it taken in Monday morning to get it assessed and fixed
View 2 RepliesCamry 2012+ :: 2013 XLE V6 Trunk Went Out Of Alignment
I have a 2013 XLE V6 and the trunk no longer sits evenly. Where the lights meet at the back of the car the trunk lights stick out about 1/2 inch further than the quarter panel lights and the gap on the right side is much bigger than the left.
I swear I have not had any accidents or issues hauling anything that would have torqued this out of whack.
Lexus GS 2006-11 :: 2008 GS460 Is Pulling To The Left Even After Alignment
Like the title says my 08 gs460 is pulling to the left, the steering wheel has to be slightly to the left for me to go straight, if I straighten the wheel out it goes off to the right, it has only been doing this the past two weeks or so. I went to Lexus and they agreed it was pulling and so they did an alignment, drove home, no change whatsoever, so I'm wondering what else it could be.
View 6 RepliesLexus SC430 :: 2006 Wheel Alignment For Uneven Wear?
I have a 2006 SC 430 with 20,000 miles on it The (run flat) tires are wearing on the inside and the dealer says that they need replacing The local tire shop agrees, and will sell the tires to me for less, and also throw in an alignment He says that alignment is the reason for the uneven wear But the dealer says that the wheel on my 2006 SC 430 cannot be aligned, and that the new ones will probably wear the same way
View 12 RepliesLexus GS 2006-11 :: 2007 GS350 AWD Alignment - Little Wobble In Wheels
I have a weird problem with my alignment. I have had this car about a year and in April put my summer wheels on. I have a staggered set of rohana's 20x9 up front and 20x10.5 in the back. When I took the factory tires off I could see inner tire wear. I figured just needed new tires cause I don't feel any pulling or known alignment issues.
After a few months I started getting a little wobble in my wheel and more road noise on the summer wheels. When I finally got it looked at just the passenger rear tire had inner wear. I took it to get aligned and the alignment shop said this thing is really good it was all in the green. They did do a little adjustment but nothing major. Showed me the print out and everything. My car is not lowered at all. I've attached pictures......
Lexus GS 2006-11 :: Backup Camera Angle Changed - Alignment?
Not sure what happened but my back up camera angle changed . It's picking up a bit of license plate and trunk now. Maybe wife slammed the trunk or something like that even though I said many times to be gentle with the trunk when closing. Is the camera adjustable?
View 6 RepliesLexus GS 2006-11 :: Headlight Aim / Vertical And Horizontal Adjustment
My headlight aim is all out of whack, the driver side light is aiming all the way to the passenger side. I searched the forums and know where the screws are for the vertical and horizontal adjustments. Counter clockwise for making the headlights go up and you're suppose to go the same direction on the horizontal adjustment as well. But my driver side headlight is aiming so far towards the passenger side already,I need to get the horizontal adjustment back to the left, which direction to turn? Clockwise or Counter?
View 2 RepliesPassat (B7) :: Driver Side Of Trunk Rubbing - Alignment?
Within one week of ownership of my new 2013 Passat, I noticed the driver's side of trunk rubbing and had techs "align" the trunk at 30 days. Before the recent 10,000 mi service, I did a walk around to see if there was anything I should have serviced and noticed the passenger side hinge was rubbing on the wheatherstrip and tore through. So, I took it in under warranty. I called after 10 days of no car; the techs apparently "realigned' the trunk and were awaiting a replacement weatherstrip. I love my B7s (yes, we have two!) but there's been obvious assembly issues (our 2012 had paint drip issues on the mirror so had that corrected without a problem whatsoever).
So, I finally got my car back from the dealership after 42 days! The service advisor told me he was fighting with VW to get the bumper replaced because there "is something wrong with it". That issue is still open, unresolved. As for the trunk hinge/wheatherstrip issue, the fix provided minimal clearance. I compared the clearance to two other Passats (one was a 2013 S that was my loaner for 42 days and the other was a new SE on the floor). Both had ample clearance. The body on mine isn't right - the trunk cavity opening is not wide enough by a mm or so. I know my lemon law rights and will be pursuing a case. At a minimum, my car was in service for a long time and that has devalued my car for resale purposes.
Lexus GX 2010+ :: 2006 GX470 - Automatic Rear Suspension Height Adjustment
I have a 2006 GX470. It has some sort of automatic rear suspension height adjustment. When it is malfunctioning the rear of the car is jacked up like I have pimped it out. I use the height adjustment button but when I resume driving the car moves back into the neutral position which is not neutral at all it is jacked to the top. I had the sensors replaced once for $1,000 but within a year it was doing the same thing.
Now the light flashes to lower the back end but the back end doesn't move. I am stuck in the jacked up mode.

View 14 RepliesLexus GS 2006-11 :: Trunk Won't Open With The Button On Key Fob
My trunk won't open with the button on key FOB, interior button, and trunk-lid button. I did check the glove compartment valet button multiple times as well. No luck there. The trunk does open manually with the metal key from the key FOB, just not the other buttons.
EDIT: The key FOB button works in that it makes the long beep noise, but the trunk does not pop. The auto-shut function does not work either. Just checked the driver side panel "TRK OPN" fuse and that's perfectly fine.
Could it be a bad solenoid? Bad latch or fuse?
Lexus GS 2006-11 :: Trunk Not Functioning In 2007 GS350
The trunk is not functioning in my 2007 GS 350. The button in the cockpit is not opening it. The key fob will not open it, however, I do hear the beep when I hold down the release button. The latch under the trunk wont pop it open either.
THE ONLY WAY to open it is if I manually use the key. Meaning I have to pop the key out of the key fob and stick it in the hole and turn it. Its kind of embarrassing having to do this in such a nice luxurious car.
- I made sure that the button in the glove box is not the problem
- I checked the fuse beneath the driver side cockpit and it is good.
- I tried unplugging the battery/ resetting the computer.
Still no luck.
What part I will have to replace?
Lexus GS 2006-11 :: Trunk Won't Open - Fuse Is Good
I went to open my trunk the other day by pressing the button on the trunk, and nothing, key in my pocket with a fresh battery (replaced in June). I then pulled out my key and pressed the trunk release on the fob and again nothing. I then went to the trunk release in the dash, and again nothing. I ended up pulling the key blade out and using that.... so inconvenient. ..
I did also check the fuse for the trunk release and it's still good...
Lexus GS 2006-11 :: 2008 - Trunk Won't Open With Key / Button
I have a 2008 GS350 AWD. One day, the trunk stopped working. The trunk button next to the drivers seat doesn't work nor does the button on the key fob work. I already pressed the valet button in the glove box, so I know its not that. Every time I try to open the trunk with the key fob, it'll beep but the trunk won't open. The ONLY way to get it open is to many insert the key that's hidden in the fob.
I read a couple of threads regarding this problem. Some say they went to lexus and was charged 1600 while others say they fixed it themselves.
One person said "They unplugged the wiring harness from the ECU (Electronic Control Unit? I guess). Once the harness was plugged back in the ECU reset and trunk works fine now. However they tell me it could happen again."
Where exactly is the wiring harness/ecu? Any diagram that I could follow?
Another person wrote "Took it to Lexus and they told me it would cost over $1600 to fix. Found your post, opened the trunk to disconnect the cable to the ECU. It would require some dissasembly. Leaving the trunk open, I disconnected the main battery ground and waited 5 minutes and reconnected the ground. This also reset the ECU. I closed the trunk and now everything works fine again."
Where is the "main battery ground"? Is he referring to the same battery that you hook up jumper cables to? if so, how do I disconnect the main battery.
Lexus GS 2006-11 :: Location Of Trunk Light In The GS350?
I looked in the trunk of my GS350 when my car was parked in the garage and it looked pretty dark in there. I shut off the garage lights and the trunk was just as black as everything else.
Is there supposed to be a trunk light in this car? Every car I have ever owned, Hondas, Nissans, and my other Lexus had trunk lights, so I think this is pretty weird if they didn't include a trunk light.
If there is a trunk light then where it's located so I can check it out?
