Jetta - Volkswagen :: Loud Noise When Driving With Windows Down
I have a 2013 VW Sportwagen TDI. I have been driving with my windows down and recently started hearing a noise (don't hear it when windows are up). The sound only seems to appear when I first start driving the car (after a few miles it seems to stop or at least is much less frequent), as I slowly (normal) accelerate and especially as I turn into a corner... I hear a loud "ticking" sound. It "ticks" 6-12 times (over about 5 sec) and then stops altogether. The sound has a very metallic character.
I looked at a youtube video demonstrating diagnosing and repairing of the CV joint(s) and am not convinced this is my problem. The tone and frequency of the "tick" sound shown in the video is way different than what I am hearing with my car.

Heard this noise from the suspension when going over bumps with the windows rolled down? It's loud enough to where i am sure it could be heard if you were a pedestrian walking next to the car. I have an IS350 Fsport (AVS), sounds pretty junky.

I have a 2014 passat 1.8 tsi comfort line about 7 months old. And i have some questions about it. Does warranty cover interior quality? cuz there are loud crackling noises while driving on normal roads. and recently since it snowed the crackling became much more noticeable and loud, really annoying.
In the morning backing out of the driving way, the breaks squeak in a really high pitch sound, the dealership told me it is normal but it got louder than when i first got it. Seems like its a normal problem for most, but is there a way to reduce the noise? i get its cleaning the brakes but its mad loud.
So driving in the snow the brakes get really bumpy, is that abs or is it like crushing snow? just sorta scary feeling.

Whenever Im driving at slower speeds - parking lots, side streets, etc I get a squeaking/squelching sound coming from somewhere in the front end of the truck. I thought at first it may have been a rattling heat shield someplace under the truck, but now Im not so sure. My GMC Envoy is making a loud reviving sound upon start up and while driving getting louder the faster I go. It also makes this noise while in park. I have Manuel transmission however it almost sounds like the car is in need of shifting to another gear... I'm hoping it's not an expensive problem!! There is no engine light coming on alerting me to a problem. It's a very loud revving almost whining sound.

When I rev my engine while the car is parked or stopped in neutral it revs up like normal. If I am cruising down the road and drop it into neutral and try to rev up the motor its sluggish and the rpms don't want to climb as quickly.

So I had my sikky headers installed about 3 weeks ago by JE import. Since then they have been a constant hassle by installing a faulty O2 simulator which made me have to get in the car yet again drive to them an hour an a half away.

Recently I have noticed a very strong fuel smell while driving. I understand you might get a fuel smell while at a light and the windows are down but I am experience one at cruising speed. I have gotten my car lifted three times in the past week to tighten the flanges connecting to the joeZ as well as checked for leaks (none were found) and there still is this strong smell
I do not want to install high flow cats.

Was lucky enough to pick up an 08 with only 26k miles 3 weeks ago from Virginia. I've gone through and swapped LEDs for all of the interior LEDs. Last night I finally had the time and I put VLED flank bulbs in the puddle lights under the mirrors. Today when driving I noticed the mirrors are vibrating significantly, so much that I have to readjust them back into position.
I don't see where I could have broken anything to cause this. I know there's some adhesive on the back of the mirror and wondering if I should go ahead and replace this? Or did I just not fit the glass back in 100%?

This happens all the time i use my car on a hot sunny day,my car does not have tints, after about an hour of driving my door sidings start to get wet and sticky (just near the windows) it will go away or dry up later when parked on a shaded place....my question is, should i wipe it off when this happens? I have a 96 F250 w/a 351w, I can hear a buffering or low whizzing sound coming from the smog pump...(I know its from the pump cuz I took the hose off and could really hear it). In addition, I notice that even after the truck is warmed up I push in the clutch and the rpm's will stay at about 1100-1200 then slowly go back down to 900ish. But if I just let start it and it runs it will sit around 900 even after I rev it up.....? I am wondering, A. is the smog pump supposed to make that sound, ( I can hear it in the cab when driving and initially thought is was a small exhaust leak), and B. could there be any relation between the smog pump and the odd idle?

My car has a distinct pull to the left when driving on a flat straight road. If I let go of the steering wheel the wheel actually turns about 5 degrees left of centre and the car goes in that direction.

Still pulls and I have to physically hold the steering wheel centre when driving.

Lexus LS 2007+ :: Very Loud Wind Noise From Windows
I have a 2007 LS I purchased a few months ago. Wind noise from windows is very loud. I applied the jmcraney fix this week - did it exactly as the directions say. Made no difference in wind noise - still get a bunch of wind noise through the windows. My LS has 70k miles so it is out of warranty.

So the car is a 2014 hyundai hybrid limited I had all the door panels off cause i was upgrading all 4 door speakers putting everything back to gather and a few days later I went to roll the rear window down and neither one works the front to works but both back will not go down or the heated seats in the back wont work. I hear it on my 2014 Prius. I just noticed it clicks , as it's the first time I drove it with the windows down. I can't say if it's new, since when I close the windows and music on, I can't hear anything. My clicks are exactly described above. I just took mine to the dealer last week for the 15k and everything checked out.
