Golf IV / Jetta IV :: Condensation On Inside Windows When GTI Sitting In Driveway Unused
My Gti has been sitting in my driveway unused for a couple months now. The condensation in it has been unusually heavy when parked. The carpet is dry, doesn't smell damp inside, no coolant smell. Windshield was replaced 2year ago never had a prob with it so idk if it's that that's leaking, but what would the signs of that be? But what I really think it could be is that my recirculating flap is stuck closed. Could that be it?

As stated in the title I'm having condensation on the inside of the windshield, but I only notice it when I get off work and go out to start my car (I work second shift and get off at 11:30pm) but when i go out in the morning or afternoon I don't notice any. I pretty much roll everywhere with my windows up so I'm not getting rain in it other than when i open the doors to get in and out.
View 6 RepliesWindows - Subaru - Outback - Windshields :: Condensation On Outside
I have been driving my Subaru Outback for almost 60,000 miles over the past 7 years, all over the country, so I know it pretty well. I just replaced the windshield for the first time, due to a crack. I chose a windshield company with many A ratings on Angie's List, although I'll admit it was the least expensive one. They seemed very professional.
I drove the car tonight after it has rained a few days, including earlier today. It was 72 degrees with no humidity. After driving about a half hour, i started getting crazy condensation on the outside of the windshield, and there was some film that the wipers couldn't seem to completely get clean. I also had fogging inside the window ---even though i was driving with the windows open. This has never happened to me before. I assume there is some problem with how they installed the new windshield?
Passat (B7) :: How To Prevent Condensation Inside Headlights
I have the Chinese LED-stripe headlights, and I've been getting condensation in them lately. The weather hasn't been particularly warm, cold, or humid lately, but it happens every time I use them. It does evaporate over time, but it is quite a bit of moisture when it occurs (definitely noticeable, and dripping down the entire front inside the housing). With winter coming, I'm worried about this continuing to happen and freezing, etc. Is there something I might have done wrong when I installed them? This is not a case of water getting into the light housings--it almost seems like I need to do something to vent them, however, to see if that prevents the issue.

I seem to have a bit of condensation inside my headlights. Is this normal?... On a car that's not even a year old? Seems to only happen on days that are raining, very humid, or when I give it a wash. Basically anytime there's contact with water.

2011 Sonata SE
So I noticed some pretty extreme fogginess and internal condensation on my windows the past few days (spring has sprung, but we have had some colder days in SE Pennsylvania). Then after taking a bag out of my passenger side floor I noticed it was soaking wet. Couldn't figure it out until I saw that my passenger side carpet was soaked.
It can't be a leak from the windshield or above because only the bottom part of the bag that was touching the floor was soaked.
We did have a pretty rainy day about 2 days ago, and I did use my AC for the first time in a while as well in the past few days so not sure if it's an AC tube problem or seal and drainage problem somehow.
Cadillac - Eldorado :: 2002 Filling Up With Water / Condensation On All The Windows
We have a 2002 Cadillac Eldorado that started filling up with water. There is literally inches of standing water on the floor, condensation on all the windows, and all the upholstery is soggy. I've vacuumed it out and left the doors open to try to aid in airing/drying it out, but when I go back in an hour the water has accumulated on the floor again.
My husband drilled a few holes in the floor to allow the water to drain out, and we removed the back seat to see if we could find where the water was coming from. The water accumulates in the seat compartment where the seat was removed, and though the holes in the floor drain the water somewhat, it still collects there. Now there is mold/mildew starting to develop and I've used a bleach water solution to try to arrest that, but I'm really getting sick of dealing with this car.
He says we can't sell it until we get another 8000 miles out of it, but we can't drive it when it's all wet like this, and he doesn't want to put any more money into it--

View 6 RepliesPrius (2010-12) :: Condensation Appearing On Inside Of Fog Light Lens On Both Sides
Back in July of last year, I installed the OEM foglight kit and replaced the lightbulbs with a pair of yellow Luminics JDM 55w H11 bulbs.
A few months later when it would rain or snow, condensation began appearing on the inside of the foglight lens on both sides. It would burn off when I left the foglights on for a while, but would reappear shortly thereafter. The driver's side would generally stay clear most of the time but the passenger side would always have moisture on the inside.
Then, a few months ago, the driver's side bulb seemed to burn out. Today, when I took them apart to reinstall the clear lightbulbs, it turns out that fluid (it actually looked like windshield washer fluid) had gotten inside the connector and shorted it out, actually melting some of the plastic to the contact. It took a while, but I was able to scrape off enough of the plastic from the contact to get it to work with the JDM bulb again.
Azera TG (2006-11) :: Condensation On Inside Of Head Lamp On Driver Side
I don't suppose there is any easy way to clean this. I was going to remove a black cover directly above the bulbs but there is a notice on the black cover right behind it warning of tampering with air bag sensor. I assume its not in the front cover but looking further it doesn't look like I will have any access to the area I want to clean by removing it. 68k on 07 azera. Too soon for this,no?
View 1 RepliesFord - F150 :: 2003 - Condensation Inside When Running AC For Long Periods Of Time
My 2003 f150 v6 occassionally leaks a little inside when running the AC for long periods of time. Its only a little bit, and Ive noticed it after several road trips with the AC on the whole time. I am aware of a service bulletin fix on this. Essentially the problem is the two drain holes are horizontal through the firewall so air blows water back in, and the fix is to fit two L shaped hoses to block the wind and allow the water to drain downward in the engine compartment. I have done this months ago and it has largely solved the problem, when the water was more of an issue. My question is, is some condensation to be expected or is something clogged up? From time to time the heater core area makes a faint rhythmic rattling that goes away eventually.
View 2 RepliesCivic - Honda - Struts - Mechanics :: Rattle At Speeds Over 50 MPH And Lots Of Noise When Go Over A Bump
My 2012 Honda Civic, with 71000 miles, is showing obvious signs of ball joint problems - a rattle at speeds over 50mph, and LOTS of noise when I go over a bump. I had a quick oil change yesterday, then immediately noticed the problem. Brought it back to the manager of the shop, who looked at it and couldn't find a problem (naturally). He said that the car would pass inspection with flying colors.
Is this a coincidence? Could I have worn ball joints on a car that's 2.5 years old? What could these people have possibly done to cause this problem? Could it be struts? The winter has created frost heaves which turned my street into a third-world road, and the car was involved in an accident 1.5 years ago when some lady ran a red light on me.
