Grand AM :: Check Engine Light Came On - Low Coolant
So today my check engine light came on. Went to auto zone they pulled up low coolant. Now how low does it need to be to trip that sensor? I was about a 1.5" down from the cold fill line.
Next is it has dex cool and have about 130k miles on it. After reading around I heard dex cause intake gasket damage. So should i flush it? If yes how do i go about doing a full flush?
I also read it could gunk up, now I've had the car for almost 4 years and I've never changed the coolant. So is gunk a possibility.
Cherokee :: 1999 Jeep Grand 4.0 - Check Engine Light?
1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0. Check engine light will not go out. Took to Autozone , Orileys ,and Jeep Dealer. No codes found. Replaced cooling fan relay, when light first came on. Everything works fine now. Have tried myself to shut light off, disconnect batt. cables 10 min, 30 min. and other methods, no luck , still, on ? I have even traced the cooling fan relay wire to PCM, all OK.

I have an 04 gx with a check engine light on I had the code read at auto zone. That tells me o2 sensor bank 2 sensor 1. I have already changed the sensor they said it was and still have the code. What is the correct location of this sensor?

I recently had a check engine light come up on my 2004 r32. Dealer told me that the secondary air pump is broken and needs to be replaces, codes that came up were p1432, p1423, and p1411.
I replaced the pump and the next day I heard the "vacuum" sound of the air pump so I know that it works. A day later my check engine light come on again, and I cannot hear the pump anymore.
Now I just changed the pump, not even the rubbery inserts as I didn't know. The pipes seemed to be fine. I checked the quote from the dealer and they also mentioned that the intake pipe is broken, part number 1J0-131-128-AB.
Is that one of the pipes that is connected with the secondary air pump or it's the main intake pipe??? If it's from the main intake, is it possible that the secondary air pump want work because of that???
Should I change the rubbery inserts on the secondary air pump??? Is it safe to drive until I take care of this?
Prius (Gen 2) :: Check Engine Light Is On - Inverter Coolant Pump Shot
My check engine light is on and I think the inverter pump is shot. I have a some questions about how and when the pump is on. I have a mini vic on order and as soon as I get it hooked up I'll run for some codes. That is if I get it installed????
1- With the car in "ready mode" and at start up (car cold) should the inverter coolant pump be running.
2- With the car in "ready mode" Should I always see a water moving in the water reservoir.
Ford - E150 :: Check Engine Light Keeps Coming On - Vacuum Leak / Fuel Pump
I recently had a Jasper rebuilt engine installed in my Ford E150. Since than my check engine light keeps coming on and the computer is saying my cas air mix is "lean". The instaler says i need a new fuel pump.Another mechanic says it is more likely a vacuum problem.I know it's possible that the fuel pump is bad bur since this has just started since the install, I don't believe it can be the fuel pump unless it's just one hell of a coincidence.

Well I had the dreaded loss of power and EPC/Check Engine light happen on Monday. Was driving down the Interstate and all of sudden we just lost power. It did not go completely dead, but it ran like crap. Called the local VW and they advised to bring it in, still under warranty (27k, 26mths) and it turned out to be the high pressure fuel pump. They replaced the pump and the replacement was bad! Luckily they tested it before they got it out the door back to me. Provided me with a loaner and the dealer had to get a replacement pump overnight. Picked up the car yesterday and everything drives the way it should again.
I had already had the software update, but according to the service advisor that was for the fuel pump in the tank, not the one on the engine. Not sure if that is correct, but that is what the advisor told me..
Dodge - Dakota :: Check Engine Light On After Fuel Pump Replaced / Idle Rough
I just replaced fuel pump and tps on my 1989 Dodge Dakota 4 cyl truck. Now it idles rough and the check engine light came on. I have removed battery cable to reset computer but did no good. What could be the problem now? I have since replaced the plug wires and distrib cap and it is flashing 3 5 5 twice now?

When I turn AC on the engine beginnings to work funny, RPMs jumping up and down, feel like engine doesn't get enough air (or gets too much). I was told to replace ignition coils. My friend has a 1996 or 1997 Pontiac Bonneville with over 130K miles on it and its been in her family for several years and she says the "Check Engine" light on it has never turned off. She's taken it to different shops to have it looked at and none of them can tell her what's wrong with it. As far as she can tell, the car runs fine, she keeps up with the service on it but I wonder what would be causing this? I once owned a 1999 Chevy Malibu with the V-6 3.1 liter engine and I had the same thing happen to me but when I had it serviced, the mechanic hooked a little code reading device to it and turns out the spark plugs were misfiring so he changed the coil pack in it....problem solved. So obviously my friend is having issues with fuel emissions system in it but I wonder why the mechanics in the City she lives in can't seem to figure out the problem. Not saying her car has the same problem my old malibu once had, there's a number of reasons why that light turns on and from what I've learned it usually involves the fuel emissions system in it. So what could be wrong with it?

Today the CEL on my 2010 HB with 30,000km came on and the car ran rough like it had a bad spark plug. I went straight home and luckily had a set on hand and replaced them. Car now runs like before but the CEL is still on.

Subaru - Forester :: 2002 - Cannot Get Check Engine Light To Turn Off
I have a 2002 Forester I have take it to 4 shops and each shop tells me something different. First 2 say to take it to the dealer and have them flash the computer. The dealer says that it is a faulty drain valve and the fourth states he has never heard of a drain valve. Hook up to a scanner and can not clear light. Unhooked battery for 30 minutes light was off for a minute but came back on. Getting extremely frustrated!
