Sonata NF (2006-10) :: Radio Preset Buttons 1-6 Not Working
I have a 2009 Sonata. The radio preset buttons stopped working. Any quick fixes to this problem???

I bought my 2011 GTI new in June and shortly after delivery noticed one of the radio pre-set buttons sticks. You can pry it out with a fingernail, but it's clearly not right. This was no big deal because I was planning on an aftermarket stereo, so I told my sales rep we'll just take care of it on my 90 day inspection.
When I took the stereo in for service last week, they refused to fix the problem, stating I had voided the warranty by removing the stereo from the dash.
So now I'm looking for a way to fix the thing so I can sell it for the $100 it's worth on Ebay. Better yet would be someone from VOA who could talk sense into my local service department (Volkswagen of Oakland). Threatening to never let them see my car again didn't make them any less stubborn.

I've read the manual many times...and I know it was this way too in a previous Passat I had. On a V10, can the steering wheel radio controls be made to change 'preset radio stations' instead of scanning to the next higher/lower station???

I took apart my front bumper for my 2012 Camry SE a while back and swapped it when I hit a cone on the freeway.
I accidentally lost one of those metal nuts that goes underneath the bumper - its like a hexagon if I remember correctly. - I had to use a torque wrench to open them and there was like 8 or 10 total.
Golf/GTI VII :: Radio Not Displaying Album Art?
I have a 2015 SportWagen S (Same radio as the Golf. This forum gets more traffic) and I had a few questions about the radio that I keep finding differing answers on. I have an iPhone 6 running iOS 9. I'm disappointed that the contact pictures don't work, but it seems that's an iPhone thing. I'm a little more disappointed that the album art doesn't work with my iPod connected with the MDI cable. I found some stuff about the file extension or size being the issue, but no definitive answers. Am I doing something wrong? I can't understand how VW could design a radio that doesn't work with what is overwhelmingly the most popular media player in the world. otherwise the radio is pretty impressive. Leaps and bounds above the one in my old '14 GLI. I only wish I could have gotten the '16 with CarPlay, but the '15 was a much better deal.

I turned on my car and for some reason the radio unit isn't displaying anything. I can see the backlight come on, but there's no text. I can still switch between BT, CD, XM, radio, etc. but nothing is displayed. This is not a nav or touchscreen unit, just the one that comes on the base model.

I have 2014 0.5 Camry with Entune Premium Audio with Nav & App Suite. The radio will not display any info from the station I'm listening to, other than the station number. I know that not all stations provide that info in their streams, but I've never found one that will show the song name, artist, etc., although the music sounds fine. Is there a fix for this?

I have a 2009 3.3L Limited with the Nav system. Sometimes when I start the car the radio/nav display is locked up and will only display the Hyundai logo. During this lock-up, the radio still works. Using the steering wheel selectors I can switch beween station presents, between radio bands, and can change XM radio stations as well. The USB flash drive will not play any music during the lock-up. If I turn the car off then turn it on again, the problem goes away. This lock-up typically happens once every few weeks.

I have a 2004 Grand Am (6 cylinder 3.4L). There are 177K miles. Last week, after I started my car (with no problem), the radio and dash gauges took about 3-5 seconds before coming on. Hadn't happened again since then until yesterday.
First it took 3 seconds, the next time 5 and progressively longer. The last time I started my car it took about 20-30 seconds until everything came on. I was already driving at that point. Interestingly, if I put the key in the ignition and turn it half way - the radio and dash lights pop on right away with no delay (every time). It's just after I turn the car on that the delay happens.
I'm going to get my alternator and battery tested tomorrow at an Auto Parts store. I can't remember how old my battery is (I have it documented somewhere but haven't had the chance to investigate). The only interior electrical thing I can think of is my dome light doesn't turn on when the car doors open. I have gotten it to work occasionally by just jiggling the switch, but can't get it to come on automatically.
Silverado :: 2003 - RDS Radio Locked Up (Anti Theft)
I have a 2003 sliverado with a RDS radio. I had a bought another one from a person on ebay. I put it in and everything worked. the next day I went out to drive it and found the radio was lock up. Because of the anti theft on it. They did this to keep crooks from using the radio if they steal it. I read you have to have vin to unlock it without the scan tool. So I wanted to know how to use the old vin number to unlock it?

I had to do some work on the car which required disconnecting the battery, Usually the radio goes into safe mode which I unlock using the 4 digit code. However this time i entered the wrong code and the radio went into 02 safe mode?? Now the radio is not responding at all to any inputs from the buttons, its literally locked. I have disconnected the battery again and left it for a bit hoping it would clear it but no luck it still says 02 safe and I can't enter the code to unlock it.

I have a 2001 f250 5.4 triton. My cb antenna hole leaked water in cab, soaked my fuse block. Horn goes on and off, radio turns on without key in ignition, truck only starts when key is on and I bridge solenoid, and number 4 coil is not firing. I have let truck dry out, fixed the leak. Everything is bad to normal except starting issue and coil issue.

About 4 yrs ago, my Son called me and said battery was dead in 2006 Chevy Malibu. and that the weird thing was CD player was spinning with the car shut off. Jumped battery but had to take out radio fuse because when car was shut off, radio would still run! Took it to the dealer and they wanted 500.00 dollars to fix the thing!!! No way I am paying that. Long story short put fuse back in and Radio plays for 30 seconds then shows "LOCKED" Why oh why is my Malibu radio draining my battery and running when car is off? I haven't had a radio for four years because of this "electrical problem" and NO WAY can I afford 500.00! Someone also said check the Ignition Switch or it could be the RAP (Retained Accessory Power)?
Here is what I tried this morning..When trying to unlock the radio, I put the fuse back in for the Radio, turned ignition on and heard the CD player spin with nothing in it and then LOCKED came on. Tried to unlock it and nothing when pushing all buttons. Shut ignition off again, took fuse out and put in again and heard CD player spin again. My guess is Radio itself has a short or something? What to do? I don't know if it's a short, the radio itself or the Retained Accessory Power...
Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: 2011 - Radio Locked Up?
Radio locked up. Dealer says $800 to replace which seems way out of line to me. Are there any aftermarket solutions that retain the Bluetooth phone integration and don't look gawdy once installed?
My radio has the CD player, a digital display and steering wheel controls but no large screen or touchscreen for mapping or backup camera or anything like that.
Or if there is no good aftermarket solution perhaps I would be better off replacing it with a higher end Ford radio with inputs for a backup camera, etc?
Camry :: 2002 - Number Of Exhaust System Sensors On V6
I have a 2002 Camry V6 US model. I need to replace the Oxygen Sensor that is on the front (beginning) of the Front Exhaust Pipe Assy, just before the other sensor which is on the curved part of the front exhaust.
When looking at the DENSO website, it lists two sensors BEFORE the catalytic convertor and two AFTER it. I don't see ANY sensors after the convertor(s), nor does the Toyota Camry shop service manual show them.
Are there only two or are there more than two? Also, what is bank 1 and bank 2? I'm assuming bank 1 is the front cylinders and bank two are the rear (towards the windshield).
