Golf/GTI VI :: Steering Wheel Column Squeaks When Turning
Just on my way home during the last few turns down the underground parking, I found the steering wheel column making some squeak noise. Is there anything I should check before bringing it back to the dealership?

Recently had this problem which started up about a week ago where my car would make this clicking noise whenever I turn left while driving. When I turn to the right there is no noise. Some said that it could be that CV joints need to be replaced. I have a video showing the side that is making the sound, maybe there is something abnormal that I don't see.

Saturn - Ion :: 2004 - Squeaks When Turning Left
I have an 04 Saturn Ion redline that just recently started sweeping from the front driver side when I turn left. It doesn't happen all the time normally in warm to cool weather, and when I'm turning slower ( around 10-20 mph ). I know it's not the brakes or the rotors as I have just replaced them this week. And my drive axle boot looks okay. What the problem might be? I'm not a master mechanic but I have done some things just as need be so technical advice won't confuse me.

Three days ago, my 2002 Taurus ses, 144k, auto, 3.0 v6 motor, started "ticking" after I drove it to the local grocery. It is coming from the top of the motor, but does not make noise when it is first started, cold, only after it is warmed up. Oil & filter has 2500 miles on them, all other fluids are good.

On my xl-7 upon turning left it makes a poppping noise, its real bad at complete stops,its almost like a cv axle noise. I have a power steering pump that makes a moaning noise when turning. Normally this means your fluid is low, but mine is full. Is it possible the reservoir is clogged not allowing fluid into the pump? When you take the cover off the reservoir the fluid is frothy so you know the pump is cavitating.

Here's my problem, I have a B5.5 1.8 5speed and my power steering makes a whining noise when Im turning. I checked the fluid and it's full. A few years ago on a roadtrip from CA to NM, my PS cooler hard pipe had a leak and drained all the fluid. It's was 11pm and still had 30 miles to get home and all I could get was Pennzoil PS fluid from Walgreens. So for the past 3 years I've been using Pennzoil PS fluid. Just recently it started making this noise. Luckily I picked up a 98 AEB parts car for $300 and my question is,
Would a power steering pump from my B5 fit my B5.5??? And, If the problem isn't my pump, would the PS rack fit also??
Nissan - Maxima :: 2003 Makes Squeaky Noises When Turning
Okay so I recently replace the rear shock absorbers and now every time I take a corner or when I'm going on a surface that's not flat or just if I go over a bump too quick. I here squeaking sounds I replace the shock absorber as well as the strut mount to no avail I've found the noise I've located location of the squeak if where coil meets the mount. I don't want to replace the coil it does look like it might need some replacing the protective metal sheet is gone on the top some of the bare metal is exposed but I would hate to replace the spring and have noise again

Honda - Cr-v :: 2006 - Makes A Short Scraping Sound When Turning?
my '06 Honda CRV makes a short scraping sound when turning. But more interestingly, it only makes this sound when the car has just been started. If I've been driving, the sound will not occur. The sound itself is a short scrape which seems to originate in the rear passenger side of the vehicle. I've researched this problem a bit, but everything I've turned up is related to the AWD model, while my CRV is 2WD. Just had the brakes serviced and checked, so that's out as well.

The bolts or screws on the inside front of the doors may need to be retightened. Mine have loosened over time. Just wondering if this maybe a possible cause of rattles or squeaks in the doors others here have experienced. I have a 2008 Elantra with 59,000 miles. When it is warm out (70 F+), the sterering wheel makes a binding noise (squeeking noise - it is hard to describe) when turning. It doesn't do this all the time and it is much more noticeable when it is warm out. The temps are usually mild. This is a recent problem as I haven't noticed it before.
Should I be concerned about this? I want to get it checked before the 60,000 mile mark in case this is a serious issue such as rack and pinion steering problems.
Chrysler - Towncountry :: 1999 - While Turning Left Makes Creaks / Groans Sounds
1999 Town&Country minivan with 165k
There is a creaking or groaning from the driver's side front when turning left at very low speed, like in a parking lot. When parked, turning the steering wheel in place intermittently causes the same thing but only when the wheel is turning to the left. No noise when coming back to center or going to the right.
Noise is definitely not a clunk or pop or squeal. No difference in handling at normal driving speeds.
Jacked up front driver's side tire and tried push/pull at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock positions. Nothing strange, even with enough force to be concerned with jack support only. Pulled the tire and checked out tie rod end and tie rod. Pushing and pulling saw no movement. Grabbed swaybar link and push/pull, all solid. No leaks or worn boots on any of them. Checked PS fluid--fine.
Should I suspect lower control arm ball joint? Is noise consistent? Maybe it needs grease? Unfortunately, car is far from home, so the biggest question is whether it is safe to drive hundreds of miles before sorting it out.
