I am looking at buying a MKIV R32 and it's in great condition, almost completely stock, and less than 50k miles on it. Although It has the flapper mod, and resonator delete mod installed. I know how to undo the flapper mod, but I was wondering how I could undo the resonator mod.

I just got my MkV R and I'm loving it. Quick question - with the EVOMS intake, does that come with the noise pipe delete? Or do I have to order the A3 MAF pipe and attach that to the EVOMS intake? And which is better? EVOMS or VF? Is one intake louder than the other?

View 10 RepliesGolf/GTI VII :: How To Adjust The Gear Selector
Got my car back from the dealership today, new DSG in, but already have it on jack stands trying to figure out how to adjust the gear selector. Feels sloppy going from park to reverse. When in reverse, it very easily slips into neutral. If you hold down the lock button on the shifter and go from P to S and then back, there is very little resistance between the different positions.
I see what I think is the shifter cable under the car below the turbo area coming through the firewall, but how to adjust this on a DSG.

View 3 RepliesGolf IV R32 :: Front Camber Won't Adjust At All?
I am running fk coils, and for some reason the front driver side camber is -1.2 and it won't adjust at all. The passenger side is -2.2 and won't adjust. I was told that the the R's oem camber can be adjusted up to -1.7.
I have no camber kits on the car. I told my Mechanic why the camber doesn't adjust. He told me that he over looked everything and that he didnt see anything wrong.
I had my front shocks replaced because they were blown. It bothers me how one side has -1 more camber than the other side. I am thinking about buying camber kit because of this problem I'm having.

View 12 RepliesGolf IV / Jetta IV :: Engine Skips When Adjust The Steering Column
I picked up a golf mk4 with low miles on it and have been working out the bugs - so far I changed out the dreaded power steering rack starter crank position sensor - dam theses cars are tough to work on but I actually enjoy it and could not have been successful without vwvortexx guiding me through- got a ton of suspension parts waiting for me to put in but I have this problem that's dogging me - searched like crazy couldn't find anything ...
When I adjust the steering column the engine "skips" and when I push the wheel in and out (as opposed to up and down) I can actually get the engine to cut out completely. (I should also mention that according to dealership receipts the PRNDL switch has been replaced along with repairs of wiring harness)...
Golf IV / Jetta IV :: Passenger Side Mirror Won't Adjust When Shifting Into Reverse
I have a 2000 Jetta GLX VR6, automatic, that I have been going over for my son. The passenger side mirror doesn't adjust when I shift into reverse. I moved up,(towards the top of the housing) a little. Shifted to park and then back to reverse and it moved up again and doesn't return. I have changed the mirror switch, the mirror motors, and have dis-connected all the electrical plugs on the transmission. I figured the plugs needed to be plugged and re-plugged to clean the terminals, but no luck. Is there a switch or sensor that needs to be replaced on the transmission? All the fuses are good. What needs to be done?

View 7 RepliesFord Excursion :: Delete Or Bullet Proof The EGR?
So I am looking to drop some coin into my 6.0, and one of the things I have been looking at is the EGR delete, BUT, I have been reading that the delete is illegal in all 50 states. I also have been reading that newer factory computer re-flashes will now trip the check engine light, even on the 03-04's, IF they have had the delete done.
With being active duty military, I move often, and I don't want to run into an emissions issue somewhere down the line. So the question is, should I go with the delete, or replace the stock EGR with a bullet proof one? There seems to be difference between the delete kit and the bullet proof EGR.
Ford Exhaust :: 2006 - Delete Cat Or Muffler?
I've got a 2006 6.0 350 with stock exhaust and am wanting to either delete the cat or the muffler, but not both. I'm curious how each would sound? For example, would deleting the cat make it louder than deleting the muffler, or will one make the turbo whine more audible than the other? Also, is there any benefit to deleting one over the other, performance wise? Oh, I'm not really looking for loud and obnoxious, but more turbo whine wouldn't be too bad .
