Touareg :: Headlight Alignment - Passenger Side Aiming A Little Low Compared To The Other
I think the light on the passenger side is aiming a little low compared to the other. Is it possible to change the aim vertically manually without going to the dealership?

I'm suspecting that my motor mounts are going bad, but I'm not 100% sure. I have a video of the engine movement when slipping the clutch and revving the engine with the e-brake on. [URL]............................... I don't need high performance ones, but don't want to spend a ton on OEM ones either.
View 5 RepliesGolf VI R :: After Installation Of Rear Sway AFS Stuck / Lights Pointing Down
So as the title states, rear sway install, no issues (so I thought ) go to test drive the car afterward, and the headlights go through the normal sweep, but, they don't come up and level out, instead, they are pointing 10ft in front of the car.
The test drive was otherwise flawless, the R responds well to swaybars, my Mk6 TDi did as well, I just have the rear H&R bar on the softer/street setting for now, but it makes a notable difference just on its own in the soft setting, I'm pleased.
Back to the issue now at hand, I researched and so far came up with there is a sensor on the drivers side LCA on the rear of the arm, and one on the rear subframe that has a push rod type arm (looks like a servo) attached to it and a bracket on the subframe, Is this correct? The sensor in the rear is intact, plugged in, and I traced the wire back to the wheel well and there is no evidence of a ground, pulled or severed wire. I have no scanning equipment and am leery of going to the dealer and letting them plug into the ECM for anything now that I am tuned, not really for warranty, more for I don't want to risk anything being corrupted or altered.

View 16 RepliesGolf V R32 :: Rattle From Vent On Top Of The Dashboard In The Middle
Have a super annoying rattle from the top vent on top of the dashboard in the middle. I can put my wifes handbag on it in order to stop it. Told the dealer about it the past 4 visits and get different answers every time but no fixes. Passed 15k miles and now they say rattle warranty is over so how hard is it to take the vent off so i can doctor some foam tape or something in there?
View 9 RepliesPassat (B6) :: HID Pointing Too Low - Getting Code For ABS
I have finally installed HID, but I tend to think they pointed too low, or it is just my imagination. Need to change the level after installing HID? Second and most important Question, the thing is that after removing the + from Battery, I have reset the settings now car shows trouble codes for g85 I guess the steering column. That it is not calibrated right, the code applies for ABS and 44-Steering Assist, I might have messed up the options, but I strongly believe it might be fixed without dealership. When the car starts it shows, ESP off and steering column yellow all the time.
View 6 RepliesGolf/GTI VI :: Alignment Off - Car Drifts Slightly To The Right
So I've driven on various roads (mostly highways) for the past week or so and have noticed that my car drifts slightly to the right a lot. I hate to say that my alignment needs adjusting already, The car only has 2000 miles on it and I'm thinking of taking it over the dealership and trying to get it covered under warranty (along with the door noise). Think I'll have any luck? (for the record, I have never hit any potholes, curbs, etc)

2nd time for alignment in two weeks. My numbers were WAY different than when I left. Rear toe is out, it was out when I left the first time, but it's out in the opposite direction now. Are those four bolts stretch bolts? Maybe my bushings are shot which are causing the varied numbers??

Golf V R32 :: Alignment Is Off After Nasty Hit While Driving
The other day, I was driving along doing about 40. It was a nasty hit and my alignment is now shot to where i have to keep the wheel turned left a couple inches to track straight. Local dealer says 170 for AWD alignment. I haven't even checked the tire for bubbles!
View 24 RepliesGolf V R32 :: Intermittent Metallic Clicking Noise From The Middle Of The Car
I think I have a bad prop shaft CV joint. The car has been intermittently making a metallic clicking noise from the middle of the car. It can happen at any speed, a slow crawl to the highway. The frequency is completely tied to speed over the ground and seems to be once per revolution of the prop shaft. I put the car up on a lift yesterday and slid back the heat shield under the CV joint and bearing in the middle of the prop shaft. There is grease there that looks like it was thrown off of the shaft. Can the CV joint be replaced by itself or am I looking at replacing the entire prop shaft assembly?

View 3 RepliesGolf V R32 :: Slight Click / Rattle Noise From Middle Of The Car
New R32 owner here. TR with 45k miles purchased 11/12. Lovin it thus far minus a few quirks. One that is pretty significant - when I was in a drive through the other day, close to a wall w/ window down, going from window 1 to 2, lifted my foot off the break and let the trans engage w/o hitting the gas. This produced a slight but noticeable click/rattle noise from what seemed to be the middle of the car. Once i left, couldn't duplicate the noise until pulling into the garage when I was stop/going again without using the gas. The tranny is covered for another 15k or so, so want to get it checked out before that, just wondering what in the world it could be.
View 7 RepliesGolf V R32 :: Randomly In Middle Of Turn Falls Into Neutral?
My dsg has been acting really weird the past week or so. I would be making a left turn with cars speeding at me then randomly in the middle of the turn it seems like the car falls into neutral or something like that lag we get sometimes when down shifting. So basically ill be stuck for a second or 2 with cars coming at me. Or even when going straight today it tossed me forward out of my seat, it felt like the car slammed on the brakes or something. I don't have warranty so dealer is out of the question.

I recently lowered one of my client's 2008 passat and since then the xeon headlamps are pointing way too low. View 2 RepliesGolf IV / Jetta IV :: Car Is Too Low To Drive Up Onto The Lift After Alignment
So I installed coilovers a short while ago and now I need an alignment bad (obviously), but when I took it to get aligned, I was told my car is too low to drive up onto the lift , so I was wondering if I would be able to adjust my coils to a better height and then after the alignment just drop them back down a bit, it won't be too major of a drop back down but I just want to make sure I wouldn't be wasting my money. There is a place up the road that will do the alignment at my current height but for a pretty steep price considering how low my car is.
