Golf VI R :: Steering Vibration That Comes And Goes - Jiggles Left And Right?

Over the last couple of months and ever since I purchased a new set of HRE's and Hankooks V12's, I've been noticing a pretty good vibration that feels like a poorly balanced tire (literally, the steering wheel visibly jiggles left and right). The weird part about it is that it doesn't happen all the time. Sometimes it'll come and go throughout my 30 mile commute (at all kinds of speeds and quality of pavement), other times it only happens for 30 seconds and, like now, I haven't felt it for weeks.

One day it was so bad that I actually stopped at my mechanic's place to have him check the lug torque, which was perfect. My obvious thought is that the wheels weren't balanced properly from Wheels Boutique, but why would it be so intermittent? Then my paranoid mind wonders if there's anything brewing with the AWD system...which in turn also makes me wonder if I somehow damaged the drivetrain by going Stage 1+ 6 months ago. Anyhow....my next step is to have the wheels rebalanced, but I seriously doubt that WB would have shipped me poorly balanced wheels...

Jeep - Cherokee :: 1998 - While Hitting Bumps Shake Like To Fall Apart?

I have a '98 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4Door, 4WD, 5-Speed Manual Trans, 4.0L Inline 6 cyl. mileage: 220,000+At highway speed if I hit a bump the car will start to shake like to fall apart. The only thing that stops the shaking is to ease of on the gas and it slowly subsides. What is causing this? Suspension? Transmission? Steering? Incidentally, the steering is not specifically affected, other than the fact that the whole car is shaking like a jack-hammer.

Ford F-150 (2009-2014) :: 2010 - Bad Bed Shake On Small Bumps

I just picked up a 2010 f150 xtr 4x4 few weeks ago and I notice the bed shake is pretty bad when hitting small bumps int he road. I watch in my rear view mirror and it seems the drivers side is doing all the shaking, and the passenger side of the box seems solid (minimal movement like a truck should). It only shakes on bumps and does not increase with speed or anything so im assuming its Not my tires? I can literally feel the shaking in my feet in sync as i watch the box rattle in my rear view. Also look at my passenger seat and it looks like a vibrating chair, an extreme one.

I got under the truck everything looks solid, checked all the bed bolts are tight, i honestly have no clue at this point. I use to have a 2000 ranger and honestly I find the box shake on my new 2010 is just as bad as my old truck. My brother and cousin both have 2011 f150's and i find theres to ride alot nicer than mine. My truck is a supercab and theirs are crew cabs, however i don't see it making that big of a difference in ride? Checked tire pressures i have 30lbs in the back tires and 35 in the front. Like it said its only on bumps, doesn't start shaking on a smooth road, so im expecting some sort of bad suspension component?

Golf V R32 :: Xenon Headlights Flickering

I just lowered my car with H&R springs and I did the flash to pass vagcom change. When the car is still and I turn on the high beams or flash it, everything is fine. Is when I start moving, and then put the highbeams or flash it when the xenons starts flickering mimicking a strobe light and is giving me an error message on the display, right or left beam dipped error.

Honda - Odyssey :: Steering Wheel Jiggles At Low Speed

When driving straight at slow speed (10-25 miles/hour) on smooth roads, the steering wheel jiggles left and right visibly (probably 1/16-1/8 inch each way). It goes away when turning and seems less at higher speed. This is a 2004 Honda Odyssey on original Michelin Symmetry tires with about 62k miles. Tires have 2/32-4/32 tread wear left, no manufacturer's worn markers yet or any visible damages or deformation. The vehicle has had regular maintenance at dealers, most recently 60k service done in December 2010. Trying to determine if this requires immediate attention and half a day at the dealer or a tire shop...

Golf/GTI VI :: Bi-Xenon Lights Start Up Sequence Changed All Of A Sudden

So those of you with bi-xenons know what i mean, when you start up your car it does that leveling sequence.

My car: 10 GOLF TDI 6MT

I put key in, turn it half way to everything comes on, clutch in cause its always parked in gear w/ hand brake on
so clutch in, I turn the key car starts up, as soon as i drop the hand brake lights come on, and they used to do:

LIGHT UP
Level Down
then would go out in opposite directions
then Level back UP to normal position.

Well today i noticed and just confirmed again when moving car after a wash, that my lights now:

Light UP,
Level Down
Level back UP,
it now skips above middle step

Why's that?

Golf IV R32 :: Motor Shake Just A Little Bit At 1000RPM On Neutral

My R32 is stock, 60K miles. On neutral, i realise that my motor shake just a little bit at 1000RPM, lower and higher, no prob.

I try to start slowly on 1st and 2rd gear, no prob. No vibration when i use the car normally. I think it's not my flywheel. Probably my spark plug or my coil pack.

Golf IV / Jetta IV :: Front End Shake And Noise On MK4 VR6

My car has been acting odd recently and I didn't notice until a romp down a local twisty road. Under acceleration or braking there is a knocking sound almost as if the subframe is moving. You can feel it through the steering and pedals. Also around tight bends when applying throttle there is a vibration followed by a clunk and then harsh vibration. The best way I can describe the feeling is as if I rolled a tire off the rim. I've read through all the tech guides and nothing has fixed it. I have new driveshafts, New tie rods, New steering rack. Everything underneath seems tight and the rear torsion beam seems fine.

Golf/GTI VI :: After Hitting A Big Pothole Car Started To Shake Noticeably Above 55 Mph

I have the stock 16-inch Bioline wheels on my '10 JSW TDI. After hitting a big pothole on the Pennsylvania turnpike (stupid of me, I know), the car started to shake noticeably above 55 m.p.h. Tire pressure was normal. When I replaced the wheel (right front) with the spare, the shaking went away.

Did I damage the wheel? Normally, I would attribute shaking to the alignment being off, but---again---the car doesn't shake when the spare is on. I would have thought it would take more to damage a 16-inch alloy wheel, but what do I know?

I'm trying to decide whether I should pay to have the alignment checked or start scouring the classifieds for a replacement wheel already.

Golf/GTI VII :: Vibrations Underneath Seat Accompanied With Engine Shake

I have about 2500 miles on my manual MK7 GTI (bought it with about 70 dealership miles) and ever since I got it it's been having these weird little backfires/slight sputtering while idling.

I'll be idling at a stoplight, and I'll feel a few little kicks/vibrations underneath my seat accompanied with a light engine shake. It's very hard to describe, but it's been bothering me since I got it, as none of my other cars have done it and I don't know what is causing it.

I have always pumped 93 octane gas and even made sure the dealership pumped 93 octane when they gave me the free tank. Not sure what they pumped before that.

I went to a Mobil gas station last night to top off my tank (a little under 1/2 full) and no later than 5 minutes after pulling away from the gas station, I was cruising in 4th gear at around 40-45 mph when I felt the engine sputter. It was only for a brief second or two, but I clearly felt the engine sputter then pick itself back up. This happened another 2-3 times on the way home.

Golf IV / Jetta IV :: Shake In Steering Wheel In Acceleration Mainly But More Often At Higher Speeds

So I just got my first alignment done on my gli since I lowered it. Before I got the alignment it had a shake in the steering wheel in acceleration mainly but more often at higher speeds. I was hoping that it would ride like butter but it's still shaking. The alignment was pretty bad before I took it to the shop today but what could the shake be coming from now? BTW I installed Ecs tuning rear wheel centering plates last night and I'm about to install their adjustable sway bar end links because I noticed last week that the sway bar had been rubbing the axle some.

Golf/GTI VI :: 2010 - Engine Shake / Vibration At Idle And Cold Start

I've had my 2010 GTI for 8 months now and have really only had one issue with it. When I start the car, it shakes before I start moving. Like, the steering wheel, body, pedals, gearshift, etc... It's not a violent shake, but definitely something I've never noticed in any other car I've owned including my MkV GTI. It doesn't seem like a normal feeling for a brand new car. I took it back to my original dealer at 4,000 miles and they said there was nothing wrong with it and they didn't feel any vibrations.

Well lately it's been vibrating more intensely and more often (at almost 8,000 miles) It now does the same thing while stopped in traffic or at lights. It's really annoying to me. I took it a couple days ago to a new dealer (I moved) and just talked to them on the phone. They also said there's nothing wrong with it and it's normal.

I forget exactly what they said it was because I was walking to the gym, but basically it was some cooling pump/fan that kicks on to cool the engine down and that's what is causing the vibration. But, they said it's normal and all VWs do it. I'm not quite sure why a fan needs to cool a perfectly cold engine in the morning though.

Golf IV / Jetta IV :: Steering Wheel Getting Intermittent And Random Jerks - Front End Shake?

VWVortex, so I've had some issues with my MK4 recently (go figure). It started with steering wheel getting intermittent and random jerks to the right after driving for about 20 minutes on the highway at any speed any gear but only at around 1/6 throttle. I needed to do front end maintenance anyway, so I replaced both complete LCA's with ECS Tuning's ply ones, went stage 2 BFI engine mounts, stage 2 BFI dogbone mount, both ball joints, both tie rods ends, both axles, and an alignment.

Now I'm getting a shimmy in the steering wheel starting at ~80mph. I know my wheels are slightly bent and are being replaced in the summer when the weather is warmer, but it wasn't doing this same shimmy prior to all this. Just the jerking. Could it be they messed up on the alignment? Its really getting on my nerves considering I've dumped a lot of money trying to fix this problem just to have something else pop up.
