Ford F-150 - 1997-2003 :: Windshield Washer / Sprayers Hard To Turn On?
I find the button needs to be pushed really hard to spray the windshield. Some days its harder than others. Is there an easy fix to this? Thought about wiring a button in the dash as stupid as it may sound...

View 7 RepliesPrius (2010-12) :: Windshield Washer Won't Work
I have a 2010 Prius and now is cold here 20-30F. So, i filled up with tinter wash fluid the bottle and today when i entered my card was 25F and i can spray out washer fluid on back window but on front window it seems it is not working. It can't be frozen because under the hood i removed hose from one connection and it is not spraying also when it is removed as i thought that the problem can be nozzles, but no. Or maybe is a pump problem? So we have two pumps on 2010 Prius for washing windows(one pump for front windows and one pump for rear windows? or there is a common one? Because there may left some water after i filled up with wash fluid. Yesterday it was working even in front and even on back. Today after i left car for two hours in underground Mall Parking i thought it will work when i'll come, but surprise, it wasn't working and there was 42F in parking.

View 3 RepliesSonata NF (2006-10) :: Windshield Washer Won't Work And No Water Came Out
all in sudden I found that the windshield washer of my Hyundai Sonata 2006 GL doesn't work. When I pulled back the control bar, the wipers were swapping but no water came out. I was pretty sure that the water tank was full, and I didn't hear any motor working sound when I did that. Is there any way I can replace it by myself? Or how much does it cost if I go to a Hyundai dealer? This is the very first time that my car had an issue. In the past years, I never went to a repair shop except for oil change and other maintenance.
View 11 RepliesFord Excursion :: Windshield Washer Pump Repaired But Won't Work?
While I was at the shop getting the steering fixed I asked about the inop washer pump. They told me the pump failed.
Anyway 30 minutes later I have replaced it but still does not work.
So what next?
Which fuses do I check (I already checked them but give me specific numbers)
Where are the relay and how do I check them?
How do I test the pump?

View 8 RepliesGolf VI R :: Windshield Washer Reservoir Replacement
So i need to replace my windshield washer reservoir because i hit something/bottomed out really hard under my front lip which cracked the reservoir along with the horn, and a few plastic pieces in that area. Any DIY on replacing it? It seems like i need to take off the bumper cover and then it should be straight forward... I already have the lower grille off so i can access the reservoir just not seeing how its mounted...
View 3 RepliesGolf/GTI VI :: 2012 - Rear Windshield Washer Won't Spraying?
My rear windshield washer has stopped working, does the MkVI have a separate pump for the front and rear washer fluid sprayers? My front sprayer is still working, fluid is full, and I don't see any VCDS codes relating to the rear windshield washer motor. Since I am approaching a wet season, it would be best if the rear washer worked. I am still under warranty but just wanted to know if there are two sprayer pumps on our cars.
FWIW, I have not had a problem with the rear washer dripping and no TSB have been performed on the rear washer.
Golf IV / Jetta IV :: Windshield Washer Fluid Leaked Out Of The Bottom
My washer fluid leaked out of the bottom of the reservoir and I would like to pull the fuse because it keeps beeping it is low. obviously. I do not have a rear wiper as it is shaved so #27 fuse is out and I was wondering if I pulled # 24 if that would stop the damn sensor or if I can pull something else, maybe just unplug it from the reservoir. I find myself using it never so I wont be fixing it anytime soon.
View 1 RepliesGolf/GTI VI :: Sounds Like Windshield Washer Sprayer Trying To Squirt Without Any Fluid
To me it sounds like a windshield washer sprayer trying to squirt w/o any fluid or a print head moving and hitting the end and try for a brief second to keep moving. I notice it when I first turn on the car and it is about every 8 ish seconds. Tried to capture it but it is too faint to pick up on cam. 2011 Gti, 39k
View 8 RepliesGolf IV R32 :: Multiple Windshield Washer Fluid Sensor Failures?
So my windshield washer fluid sensor popped on a couple of months ago, checked fluid (was full), I concluded that it was a failed sensor. I ordered a new one from ECS, put in last wknd, and finally: the low-level warning light disappeared. A few days later, I was adding some fluid into the reservoir (it was a new bottle and had no funnel) and I spilled a few drops. The spilled amount seemed to drop near the sensor plug, but didn't think it was a big deal. Went into work, came out later to head home, and you guessed it: the low-level light came back on (with a FULL reservoir).
I removed the plug yesterday, blew it out, but it didn't change a thing. Anyway, is it possible the sensor shorted because somehow some of the fluid go into the connection? If I hookup the vagcom, will I be able to tell if there is an issue (I know it didn't before when the first sensor failed). Is there even a fuse for the fluid sensor?

View 4 RepliesGolf V R32 :: Broken Brake Light / Windshield Washer Stream The Shot Straight Up
I've got an '08 R32 I bought in May, before that I had an '07 GTI, so I know the cars pretty well. I have a couple of issues with the R that I never had to deal with on the GTI .
1. On my GTI, the rear windshield washer was a very strong stream the shot straight up. On the R, I've noticed it is weaker, and recently, it barely sprays half of the area, and it also moves with the wiper, from about straight up and over to the left. Any adjustment to tighten it back up, or if it is supposed to move.
2. I just had a brake light burn out Monday. I know I need to get behind the plastic and undo the nuts to remove the brake light assembly, but I have two questions: First, what are the make and model of bulbs used so I can pick some up to change at home.
Golf/GTI VII :: Strong Odor Of Windshield Washer Fluid / Cabin Was Filled With Smell
Has encountered a strong odor of washer fluid when using it on your windows. I was driving to work this morning through a snow storm and needed to use my washer fluid for the first time. As soon as I turned it on the entire cabin was filled with that smell. Could this be a leak?I thought it was all confined within the engine compartment so not sure why I smell it immediately upon using.
View 14 RepliesGolf IV / Jetta IV :: Wiper Rear Windshield Sprayer Would Work Intermittently
Weird issue on my MK4 GTI. So it started out just as the rear windshield sprayer would work intermittently. Then the same happened to the front one. Then sometimes the rear windshield wiper would just come on by itself when hitting bumps on the highway. Now sometimes the front windshield wipers won't work, the rear doesn't work at all, and neither sprayers work.
So, where's best to start? I figured maybe the toggle switch is worn out. I haven't looked to see how hard it is to get out/test. I assume there's some linkage or wires I can get to once I remove the trim under the steering wheel to do a simple continuity test and see if the switch is working. Or would relays cause this? I wouldn't think that many relays could fail this quickly while running at normal voltages...
Passat (B5) :: Windshield Washer Freezing Up
My trip to Gillette WY was OK but the windshield washer froze up and did not work the entire trip. So much for a snow car, but now, in warmer climate, only the drivers side will spray...nothing at all out of the passenger side. I looked up the system on Ebahn 92-32 but it just shows how to remove the tip. How to replace or check the hose? Or, even better, how to direct heat to the washer system to keep it from freezing up?
