Elantra MD (2010-15) :: Percentage Of Tinting For Auto Dimming Rear View Mirror
Planning on tinting soon probably with 3M Scotchtint color stable 35% on sides and back. I was wondering about what percentage tint would effect the automatic dimming rear view mirror and what percentage would render it an expensive brick?

View 7 RepliesFord 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: Accuracy Of DPF Percentage?
Due to the timing of the regens and where I was, the last two regens have started just before I got to my destination and had to shut the truck off. First time it just got down to 90% when I shut it off, this time it hadn't even got down to 95% yet, but I heard the popping from the exhaust after I shut it off and got out. The first time, the dash said 70% when I started it back up. This time it baked it's way down to 75% after the shut off, but it did climb back to 80% rather quickly.
Anyway, this got me thinking about how accurate this meter really is. I thought after decades of the whole gas gauge thing the DEF level would be rather simple, but we all know how less than accurate the DEF level seems to be.
Does the PCM use a similar faulty countdown when figuring who full the DPF is, or is there some actual meter that is closer to accurate?
I can't imagine my truck is smart enough to correctly figure out how plugged the DPF is, yet it's too stupid to properly gauge weather I have more or less than half a tank of DEF.
Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: Crew Cab Window Tinting?
I'm looking to go get my windows in my truck tinted. I have a Lariat, Crew Cab and the rear passenger windows and rear windows have privacy glass. I want to darken the front windows to give the truck a nice look. I was just wondering how much a tint job usually costs, and if I just put tint in the front windows, or over too of the privacy glass also..

Today my sunroof tilted open all by itself while I was driving, then it closed it by itself. Then it did it all over again.
A week ago it tilted open, I closed it by moving the switch to full open, then close.
In another post ("Sunroof Problem") I found one mention of this problem and the switch was the culprit.
I had to have the switch replaced?

So today was above freezing.. [URL] .... I open the sunroof as I'm driving around town, and I notice a rather distinct rumbling noise.. I put my hand against it and discover the roof is vibrating harmonically. Which I've discovered seems to happen any time I have the sunroof fully open, over ~30mph (50kmh). If I close it one tick, the problem disappears completely, I guess as the airflow changes. Is this badly-designed aerodynamics, or actually something misplaced or misaligned in my sunroof?

I have continous white noise when driving with the sunroof closed but the sunshade open. As soon as I close the sunshade the noise goes away. This noise is prevalent at 50 km/h and up.
Dealer said there were no leaks, and they claim to not hear the noise. I drove another MK6 today with my salesman and there was no noise difference between having the sunshade open or closed, even at 100 km/h.
