Sonata NF (2006-10) :: Exhaust Running Rich And Popping When Ease Off The Gas
Here is a video of my sonata exhaust running rich and "popping" when i ease off the gas when in P/N (haven't driven it enough to recreate it on the street in gear). I also included a teaser pic of my plasti dip project which is almost done and ready for me to enter the Ride Of The Year.

Golf/GTI VI :: 2010 - Can't Fold Side Mirrors
I have not found a way to fold them. But if not, is it likely to be damaged during automatic car wash?

Over the past 6 months my side view mirrors have been getting finicky about tilting down. In other directions they move fine (left, right, up).
I just tried replacing the mirror switch, and it didn't fix anything; the exact same symptoms are there. Here's what I observe
* Neither the driver nor passenger side mirrors will aim down
* Left/Right/Up all work fine
* Occasionally (but rarely), they will suddenly work.
* Replacing the switch fixed nothing
* I also checked the wiring from the door to the switch and there were no visible cracks or damage, and the pins were well seated in the plug.
* Holding the mirror control in 'down' and wiggling the wiring makes no difference.
* I have a 2 door '13 Golf R (posting in GTI forum because it's more active).
* I have heated mirrors, but no folding or auto-dip.
I saw a number of posts on mods, and a couple on switch issues but in all of those installing a new switch seemed to do the trick.
Sonata NF (2006-10) :: Clunking Noise From Driver Side When Ease Off The Gas In D
When I ease off the gas in D i hear a clunking noise (not too loud) from the drivers side (and even feel a it a bit in the pedal) over the slightest road imperfections in the road. it is not as loud as bad strut mount noises i have heard on other cars. sounds somewhat like what slightly loose lug nuts sound like except its intermittent. Could it be the ball joints?

Golf/GTI VI :: Popping Sound From Somewhere Near Driver Side Door
So my brand new 2012 2.5 with 143 miles already has an issue. Having a single pop sound from somewhere near the drivers door, maybe the seat, or door frame? Also I think it mostly happens when accelerating from a stop. Maybe around 3-10 mph. Pretty sure its an interior thing, not drivetrain related.

I just got a H&R Sport Cup Kit installed along with new strut mounts and bearings on my 2001 GTi. My front right side strut is making a popping sound whenever I accelerate or brake slightly hard and sometimes when hitting a bump in the road. What's causing the sound? I just picked up a 2011 Golf TDI a week ago and so far, I love it! I have about 600 miles on it now and I have noticed that the driver's side lumbar support is very stiff to turn compared to the passenger side. It is also making a creaking noise when it is adjusted and I can feel the seat compress slightly when I put pressure on it (say, when I shift gears or move positions) and it also makes noise when doing so.
Just wondering if this is a common problem, if there is an easy fix, or should the dealer take care of it. My thoughts right now are to take it right back to the dealer and let them deal with it.
Golf V R32 :: Popping Noise Coming From Front Passenger Side When Reversing?
Almost every single time I put my .:R in reverse and the car starts moving I hear a popping noise with pauses in between each pop. I think it might be a ball joint and the noise is coming from the front passenger side.

I had the struts replaced a few months ago along with the strut mounts and bearings. Since then I've developed a popping and clunking noise from the passenger side spring/mount area. I've greased it and it has quieted it down but I noticed that when the car is not moving and I turn the wheel from lock to lock that very top piece of the strut pretty sure it's called the hat moves along with the wheels while the drivers side does not. What's wrong? Is it something as simple as the nut being to lose or to tight?

In the owner's manual there is an oblique reference to the side mirrors angling down while in reverse to aid parking. My wife's car seems to do this whereas mine does not. I assume I need to set up this feature somehow but I can't for the life of me find it in the manual.
