Lexus GS 2006-11 :: How To Turn Off Foot And Shift Lever Lights Only
I have a 2007 GS350 Lexus...my first Lexus...i love this car. The Foot Light and shift lever lights remain on expect when i turn the control panel lights completely off. (page 306, owner manual). Is that normal? How can i turn the foot and shift lever lights off without turning all the control panel lights off?

Golf IV / Jetta IV :: 2000 - Headlights Won't Turn On With Instrument Lights But Auto Lights Work?
I recently purchased my first car/jetta. When i switch the knob to turn on the instrument lights on my 2000 jetta the headlights don't come on. But when i turn the knob off the auto headlights turn on. Any insight on this? when i first got the car everything was working fine. It only started to happen after I replaced the radiator.

The headlights went out on the automatic "arrive home mode" more than the programmed 15 seconds. The interior overhead and foot lights took as much as 5 minutes to cease and desist.

Honda - Lights - Pilot - Noises :: Volume Will Turn All The Way Down And Dashboard Warning Lights Will Turn On
I have a 2003 Honda Pilot with about 152,000 miles on it. Recently while driving if i have the radio on or have my ipod hooked up, the volume will turn all the way down and the dashboard warning lights will turn on. It only lasts for a few seconds at a time but it happens very randomly. Sometimes it won't happen at all and other times it will occur every few minutes or so.After the few seconds the volume turns back up to its previous set level and the dashboard lights go back to normal. The way the lights come on seems pretty random as well. Sometimes it will just be the "parking break" light and other times it will be all of the warning lights. I'm not sure what the problem is. Maybe a fuse is shorting out?

I drove my 2005 Prius 2 hours and parked it for 5 hours. No problems on the trip down. I got back in it and it started up just fine. I was sitting in the parking lot with my foot on the brake (hadn't moved yet) and the following occurred:
The brake pedal seemed to push back on my foot
The red exclamation point illuminated
The yellow exclamation point illuminated
The ABS light illuminated
The VSC light illuminated
The red parking brake light illuminated (not shown)
All of these lights point to the skid ECU. It seems like my skid ECU is toast or something called the ABS & BA & TRAC & VSC Actuator is an issue (never heard of it but I see it connected to the skid ECU). I did a visual check of what I could and everything seemed in order. I pulled a bunch of fuses and I didn't notice any that were blown. (I didn't pull them all but will tomorrow)
After not finding anything, I drove back home. As expected, I had no regen but the bigger problem was that I had no power assist on the brakes. A few times I actually did skid and the car brakes really bad without regen or power assist. If it was raining or snowing I could definitely see a hazardous situation.
I'm kind of at a loss here. Tomorrow I'll pull the kick panel down and see if the skid ECU is getting power but I can't think of anything else that would cause this situation.

One of my tires was a few PSI low. Checked all my tires, tried to get them close to recommended pressure but the "tire pressure low" message and the tire symbol warning are still on...after several days and at least 100 miles.
On one of the vortex forums someone mentioned this issue and claims the dealer has a software fix for it.
My tires seemed to be ok but what drives me crazy is when this warning is on you can't use any other function in the MFD.
Also, why can't they make a system like this that actually indicates WHICH tire(s) are low?

I have an 02 GTI w/ 1.8t and 5spd. I was in the drive through and all of the sudden the ABS, ASR, and seatbelt lights came on and the battery light is randomly blinking. I got home turned the car off and went to restart it and when I turn the key nothing happens. I should also mention I recently have 2 cels for p0171 lean condition and bank 1&3 misfires that developed after I replaced a bad injector. Where do I even start?

I recently bought a used '07 vw rabbit, and today when I tried to use my parking lights, I could not find any way to turn them on. I called the dealer later, and was told the rabbit does not have "parking lights". I've tried it every way I can think of and I can't get my daytime running lights to turn off. I have the base model gti so I don't have buttons on my steering wheel. the manual says to push the left wand down and to the back. then turn on the ignition for three seconds......doesn't do anything. I have noticed that my headlights move differently each time I start the car and turn the lights on. Sometimes they simply charge to brightness, sometimes they rotate up and brighten and sometimes they rotate up turn side to side and then brighten. I thought there was some trick such as putting your foot on the brake before turning the ignition on means they will skip the full cycle but I tried all sorts of variation(on the brake off the brake, no parking brake etc.) when starting and nothing seems to affect the headlights consistently.
