Gen 3 Prius (Audio/Electronics) :: 2010 - Navigation Unit Not Working Properly?
Got a 2010 Prius with navigation couple days ago. No problems so far except, in mornings, on cold start head unit acts strange. If I press map or destination button on the right side of it, it skips music tracks that are being played or changes the radio station. It glitches like that for about 15 minutes, than comes back to normal. turning the car on and off doesn't work at all. The unit had been replaced once under warranty by toyota dealer.

Gen 2 Prius (Audio/Electronics) :: 2005 - Navigation System Stopped Working?
I have a 2005 Prius the navigation system stopped working. When I press the Map button, the screen displays "the external system is not connected" also the voice came on and said voice recognition is off. Could it be a fuse or need to reset? It was working fine then just went black. I restarted the car a few times but still no work. Also where is the player at on the 05?
View 2 RepliesPrius C (Audio/Electronics) :: 2013 - USB Connection Won't Working Properly / Can't Play Music
2013 Prius C with Entune. The USB connection allows me to charge my iPod (3rd generation) and iPhone 4S but I cannot play music via that connection. The system is designed to allow playback through the USB, right? I plugged in a flashdrive and was able to play music. I have tried three cables and none allow the feed from the device into the audio system. I am able to connect into the Aux port and play music.

Yaris/Scion & Vitz :: Audio And Navigation System Aren't Working Properly
When i purchased the yaris ZR they had none with the Suna Audio and navigation system so they said they will ship the device in and then install it when they finally had it.... So I was driving this one around with the default device in or awhile. Everything was working fine, audio, messaging, calling and listen for a while. Everything was working fine, audio, messaging, calling and listening to podcasts ad audiobooks through apps on my phone. I am using the Samsung Galaxy S5 Everything has been updated and using all relevant updated software.
When they said it was finally in, i brought my car in and after a few issues and shipping the wrong parts I finally got it. (I was driving the latest Corolla in the meantime)
Bluetooth is cutting out every 2 minutes (and halfway through at about 1 minute there is a glitchy/pause/lag) .... It keeps saying something like "Connection with the mobile telephone has been disconnected" and my audio stops playing. It takes about 15 seconds to reconnect. And then i have to push the Audio power button twice to get back to listening to my media. Phone is fully charged, and plugged in. There are no distractions from anything else (The Original old device that came with it never did this). You can't play audio via USB with an android device on either this one or the old one so that option is out.
Messaging is not working - Worked fine in the old/original device on the Yaris and the Corollas I was using, when i got a text, it beeped and read it out - and i could quick reply with automated messages (if the car was not moving). Now, when I try to load them a message just stays on this screen for about 5 minutes then disappears - nothing happens. "Retrieving messages please wait....."
Gen 3 Prius (Audio/Electronics) :: Clicking / Ticking Noise Constantly Originate From JBL Audio Navigation System
Is it normal for a clicking and ticking noise to constantly originate from the JBL audio navigation system? I've noticed this noise while the vehicle is in electric mode at a full stop. The noise is also present while driving.
I checked the 4 disc cd changer and they are empty. I usually use the blue tooth system to play the music.

Gen 3 Prius (Audio/Electronics) :: Navigation Keeps Freezing All Audio Functions
I have a 2010 Prius five and I blew the warranty in the first year and a half. At 134k miles the navigation is getting a bit crazy. So while I'm driving (not using the nav) a side bar screen will pop up with a few boxes that say calculating and it will freeze my whole system for about 2 or 3 minutes even though I can still see my location tracking behind the pop up screen. If I'm streaming music that will continue but I can't change songs or volume or anything. It also lags when I get an incoming call so I can hit the transfer button but it will take about 30 seconds.
I tried to see if my car needed an update from the 08.1 version but can't seem to find any info on it. No actual answer.
Gen 3 Prius (Audio/Electronics) :: IPhone 5 / BT Songs Won't Syncing Properly?
Songs listed in the "browse" are not correct(looks like an OLD SYNC) and can't get it to update to the new songs that are listed on my phone. Tried to delete the phone on BT devices listed and re-start the phone, didn't work. When clicking through on the steering wheel dials, the correct songs play though. Also, if you try to search for songs and go "backward" from Z-A, the songs listed are completely incorrect for the alphabet.

View 3 RepliesGen 2 Prius (Audio/Electronics) :: 2008 GPS Navigation Does Not Work?
This is my first posting in this forum, bought my 2008 Prius Tspirit. The GPS navigation is not working, not in car so can't remember the message. The previous owner stated he only used it locally so didnt need gps and said it just need a programmable disc. There is a gps disc in the car, every time i load nothing happens, nothing wrong with cd player as it plays music cds whenever i insert it.
The car has done 47000 mileage and i am based in london, uk. The rear parking works. its not huge issue as i have TomTom but nice to have orius in-built working as well.
Gen 2 Prius (Audio/Electronics) :: 2004 - Navigation Does Not Work
2004. There is a Navigation button on the dash as well as on the steering wheel but the navigation does not work. I'm the 3rd owner, the person I bought it from got it 2 years ago and said that the navigation never worked for them.
When I go to navigation I get the current GPS coordinates on the top left, but a blank screen. If I plug in my address it shows a map of the streets around my house and maps my house, but no routing info. It constantly says that I am 600 or so miles from my destination, but the map screen is blank. Does the fact that navigation appears on the screen & steering wheel mean that the car did, at one time, have navigation? Included with the owners manual was a navigation manual and a navigation quick start guide, so I believe it did at one time have navigation.

I got a 2012 Prius two weeks ago.
When the map was on the screen, I went down a new section of interstate where the GPS was telling me I was going over grass or turn here from the grass to a city road. How do you update the map or should I continue to use Google maps on my cell phone?
Can you transfer cell phone Google maps to the Prius?
Gen 4 Prius (Audio/Electronics) :: 2005 BC - Navigation And Turn List
In my Prius 2005 BC, I enjoyed having the turn list posted on the right hand side of the nav screen. I noticed on my 2016 Prius Four ATP that all I saw were freeway exit lists and the occasional upcoming turn screen. I opened my trusty "Navigation System Owner's Manual" to page 199 and read about Map Mode. I see clearly that Option 4 is the turn list, but on my screen only the first 3 options are present. Is there some thing else that needs to be selected to have option 4? BTW: this is a US market vehicle.

View 4 RepliesPrius V (Audio/Electronics) :: No (Go Home) Command For Voice Navigation
I have a 2011 Prius with DVD Navigation, and now a 2012 Prius V. I cannot believe there is no "Go Home" command for voice navigation on the new system. This makes no sense whatsoever.
Does this system can be updated either on the fly or at the dealer in the future? The voice recognition is not nearly as good as on the 2011 system.
