Gen 3 Prius (Audio/Electronics) :: How To Have Audio Screen Remain Permanently On View

Is there anyway to have the audio screen remain permanently on view? On my 2010 Prius, the screen view changes back to another screen after about 15 seconds. I would like the audio screen to remain on view so I can make changes between various presets. I know I can do this with the buttons on the steering wheel, but this may involve lots of button pushing. I also want to be able to flip between the presets and the text view (which shows me artist and song title.

Gen 2 Prius (Audio/Electronics) :: Touch Screen / Audio Failing Intermittently?

Beginning yesterday, my touch screen and radio work only part of the time. It started with the radio just going silent for a few seconds at a time. Today, and this seems odd, I can mostly make it fail by starting car with foot on brake. I can mostly make touch screen and radio work normally by starting it with with foot off the brake. I considered fuse, which is unlikely, but... According to manual, touch screen and audio are on same fuse as clock, and clock is working fine.

Gen 3 Prius (Audio/Electronics) :: Audio And Map On Screen At Same Time

Is there a way to keep the screen on map and still have the audio show? I tried this with dual screen but it only appears to stay in maps when I do this. I find myself switching to audio often so I can see what song is playing on xm.

Gen 2 Prius (Audio/Electronics) :: Speakers Don't Make Sound

on my sub amp the wire out got hooked up my wires to my car speakers while replacing the battery and it went boom and there was a smell of burnt electrical. Now I don't have any sound coming out all in my car. I'm trying to figure out if it is a fuse problem or if I blew out all of my speakers, but before this happened I disconnected the center speaker by the screen because I wanted a more stereo sound in my car. I reattached the center speaker recently and still no sound. I looked at the fuses underneath the steering wheel and I couldn't find any blown fuses.

Gen 2 Prius (Audio/Electronics) :: Upgrading Head Unit Might Make MFD Unusable?

I've got a 2007 with Nav and was thinking of replacing the head unit with an Alpine INE-W940 or something similar/better. I spoke to Crutchfield, and they told me that this install would make my MFD unusable, and I'd have a blank screen. I am not certain if the tech meant that it would be useless for navigation or radio/cd control, but still function for other uses like battery monitoring and consumption.

Even assuming that it would still function for car information, etc., I was wondering, using perhaps Lockpick 3 to mirror the display of an aftermarket head unit/nav system to the MFD. I'm thinking this would be a really useful hack.

Prius V (Audio/Electronics) :: How To Leave Nav Screen Set To The Radio

I have a Prius v five ATP, my wife asked if its possible to leave the screen set to the radio. I haven't figured how to do this yet. I usually have the trip info displayed, but if I hit the radio button it brings up the usual screen displaying the radio info for a minute or so (or however much time that she's changing the stations) but then switches back to the previous screen.

Is there a way to set the radio as a default so it doesn't switch back to the previous screen? Or use the split screen function for this?

Gen 3 Prius (Audio/Electronics) :: Screen On The Nav System Cracked

We bought a new 2010 Prius III last August. We've been quite happy with it. One morning a few weeks ago we unlocked the door to go for a ride and noticed the screen on the Nav system was cracked.

I placed my hand on the screen and it felt completely smooth! I was the last one to drive her and it was fine when I parked in our driveway. There weren't any signs of vandalism and nothing hit the screen.

A friend thinks there was possible a small crack behind the molding and perhaps a change in temperature or going over a bump could have set it off.

Prius V (Audio/Electronics) :: Night Time GPS Screen Got So Dark

My v will be 3 years old soon, and it has developed various electronics problem.

1. Night time GPS screen got so dark - now use Day time all the time as I learned that this was the prevailing issue.

2. The dealer swapped the GPS screen trying to fix the GPS screen issue. After the swap, I cannot switch back and forth between the map screen and audio screen. Once I am using the map, it just is a matter of luck to go back to the audio screen.

3. After using the windshield washer, the wipers do not come out automatically.

Now here is my problem - the problem 2 and 3 occur 98% of times - not 100% of times. When I took the car to the dealer, it was one of the 2% time and they could move back and force between the map and audio screen. Despite the fact that I showed them the video, the dealer said that they could not do anything as they could not duplicate the problem.

I am going to bring the car in again and tell them of the new problem 3. It was also videotaped.
