GTI 337/20th Anniversary :: GLI Remote Key Not Locking Driver Door
My GLI's remote key will not lock the drivers door when I try to lock the car. I can unlock the entire car with the remote but when I try to lock it, it locks all the doors except for the driver's door.

I have a 2005 GLI which seems to have an issue with intermittent door locks. Sometimes when I press the unlock/lock button they will unlock/lock, other times they won't. It also seems to be random as to which doors will unlock/lock. Opening them from inside works just fine.
The dealer said that the door lock control modules probably need to be replaced. I remember seeing a while back that there was a way to fix these as the problem really was some solder within the control module.

So i think I'm loosing my mind but i could swear that when i got my Pri V it beeped and locked doors once when i would touch the door handle or remote. For some reason now it locks the doors twice and no beep on locking. It also locks the doors twice whenever i put it in drive now also. Is this normal?

My fob doesn't close my driver door there for it doesn't beep. So I did some searching and I didn't find anything beyond just slamming the door which i did and it didn't fix it. I took the door apart and i couldn't take the inner metal panel to inspect the lock. How to take the inner metal panel out?

My car is 2000 GTI 1.8T. When you put the key in ignition and turn it( not to start car, but get all the instrument lights to come on), after 15 seconds there is a "beep" noise and the oil light flashes.
Vag-Com doesn't pick up any faults, and when you start the car and start driving the light doesn't come on, and I am talking 600 miles 5 times in the last month!!!
Only when the key is in Ignition on position does it beep. Also recently the brake light has started coming on as you drive. It flashes and beeps only when you driving! Vag does not pick up this fault either...

Weird ... just a low volume beep, no dash lights or error codes. Thought it may be the radio, but happens with radio off as well.

I used to have other car that used to make a loud beep upon locking. My prius 2010 III is bit nimble and social. It blinks and makes a little chirp. I would rather need a loud beep so to locate and ensure my car is locked especially in noisy environments.

I have a 2003 20th anniversary edition and when i lock the car with the remote it sometimes does the alarm honk and sometimes doesn't. when it does honk after locking it, about a minute or so later the alarm goes off. but when it doesn't honk after locking it with the remote i am fine, nothing happens and the car is locked.

I have problem in my alarm siren, need to say it's an original electronic with 3 pins connector, the problem is i don't hear any sound to the siren when it's going off , when i arm it i do hear 1 peep and when i disarm i do hear 2 peeps, but when i open any door it's just blinking the hazard without any sound! i checked via VAG-5051 in 46 then 02 to find faults, i found 1 fault : H12 no communication!
When I do 46 then 03 to operate the siren i do hear it just peeping ! I wondered if the 5051 telling me no communication with the sirenH12, then how do the siren peeps in lock and unlock?

so i have opened and closed every door a million times and my open door light is staying on and when i lock it it doesn't beep like it should. i lock it and then whenever later my alarm/ panic horn goes off. it did this a few days ago but went away but now it won't. [URL]..............

I tried searching around, but nothing. the rear door on the passenger side sticks out a little, im wondering if there is an adjustment i can do to fix this.. its out less than a quarter inch. someone said adjust the striker, but i cant seem to find it.

On Friday I opened the liftgate using the button by the driver side and it was normal. I pressed the same button to close it and I heard a crunch type sound and went back to check if the lock closed on something but it was all clear. I tried opening and closing again using the driver side button and the key fob and it makes the beep beep sound and it sounds like something mechanical is going on back there but the door doesn't move. The button in the glove box has not been touched and I checked the fuse compartment in the hood of the car and it appears to be intact.
Now the door won't open or close unless I manually open it and close it. After the beep beep the door sounds like its attempting to open but it just stays closed. And when I manually open the door and try to push the button on the door itself, or by the key fob or by the driver side button, it also just makes the beep beep sound and sounds like its mechanically struggling to do something and just stays open.
On Saturday I went up to the snow. It was freezing cold and higher altitude and as I was unpacking the back I tried to close the liftgate manually and it wouldnt even close. It closed a few inches and then it seems like the pressurized hinges got stuck. I eventually got it to shut but now I'm not sure if the problem is those hinges or is it something electronic or is the lock of that door just messed up somehow.
Elantra MD (2010-15) :: No Door Lock And Unlock Beep Sound Momentarily
I own a Hyundai Elantra 2015 SE, and was wondering if it has a door lock/unlock beeping sound. It doesn't beep at the moment when I lock and unlock it. I don't know if there is a setting or something. I've tried looking in the owner's manual, but found nothing.
I personally think it's a nice feature and would love to have it enabled in my car.
GTI 337/20th Anniversary :: Broken Glove Box Handle - Replacing The Door
Most of the info I could find recommended replacing the entire glove box, and removing the center console to do so. I found a replacement door on ECS tuning's website, but I can't find a DIY on replacing the door/lid only. Any way out on replacing the door only, are the same steps required/removing the center console and taking the entire box out, or can the ECS tuning lid be fitted without as much disassembly?

The speaker in my drivers door is blown or there's a wiring issue I haven't taken off the card yet to inspect it. I have two stock speakers from a buddies car that only have 8k and two years on them. My question is should I stick with stock ones since I plan on sticking with the stock head unit, or should I upgrade? What speakers that work well with the stock system?
