Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: 2003 - Muffler Delete On Stock Exhaust Sound?
How will a muffler delete on stock exhaust sound? I don't want to remove the cat because I don't want it to be too loud. I want it to sound good but not too much whistle (considering my truck is a 2003 the whistle would be very loud) Should I just to a delete pipe on the stock exhaust, or do a cat-back 4 inch straight pipe? what will sound better? Also doing the cat back exhaust will cost a lot more.. but is it worth it? What I should do.

This is my first post on this forum. I have a 2014 F350 standard fleet truck. The headlights are not day time running lights. The headlight switch is the basic off/parking light/on. The headlights come on as soon as you start the
truck. This just started happening about a month ago. When you shut off the truck the headlights stay on for ten minutes. I scanned the truck with a snap on modis. I got into the lighting module and the "command on" is on. The modis would not give me the option to turn it off. Short of taking the truck out of service for a day to go to the dealer. Is there any other fix I can do?

I want to remove the 4x4 stickers on my 2014 SD box. I think it looks cleaner without them. Are they difficult to remove or does the hair dryer trick and then some Goo-Gone do the trick without a big time effort? The last thing I want to do is make a mess of the paint finish.

2014 f250 with 2500...My cruise went out on my new platinum. Cruise symbol comes on, goes green when I hit set but will not hold speed. I know this would be an easy warranty fix but here's my problem. My regular local dealer, which I bought my 3 fleet truck and all personal autos from didn't get this sale. In fact he was 5k higher then the dealer 120 miles away and I brought him written proof. He was very angry and down right rude when I nicely told him I couldn't pass up 5k. He told me that was just bad business by the other dealer and hung up on me.

My 2014 F-350 SRW always seemed to have spongy feeling brakes since day one and the e-brake has never been set-up to be very tight. Even though my truck has less than 25,000 miles on it, I'm half tempted to power bleed brakes to try to get a better brake pedal. All I know is that if I press the brake pedal on my '82 F-350 SRW as hard as I need to press the one my 2014 SD, it would try to put me through the windshield.

Just moved into the 250 from years of 150's. Now have 98 miles and read that the tran would have noise but normal while breaking in.
whats normal, not used to this much Clunk while changing from P to D ect. More noise than used too I guess.

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: 2014 - Cruise Was Set To 62 MPH And Truck Kept Downshifting
Came over the "mountain" tonight elevation is 1,054 (Snickers Gap) anyway cruise was set to 62mph and the truck kept downshifting. Got to 2nd gear about 5500 rpms and was trying to hold 62mph. I turned off cruise and it stayed in second and picked up speed still in second, I finally tried some braking and some acceleration with the gas pedal and it shifted up through to 6th. Truck has 6.2L and 3,300 miles on it. I wasn't really afraid of wrecking or anything but I was convinced it was going to redline in 2nd, it didn't but it was really loud. I was about 10-15 seconds from throwing it in neutral.
Additional info: I have driven this road for 14 years, with cruise control on in everything from a geo metro, (2) different 2010 f-150's 4.6 and a 5.4, ford escape hybrid, and many other vehicles. This is probably the 10th time I have taken the new F-250 in to the city and back it has never reacted this way before, but I have notice it downshifts more than I expect in other situations as well.
So is the downshifting what others are seeing?
6.2L Supercab, longbed 3.73 gears.

Going to be picking up a 2014 bed soon. I have one rusted cab corner and both door bottoms are rusted I really can't buy new doors but I can replace the cab corner. What should I do about the door rust? My plan is to use monstaliner on the entire truck in a dark grey color. Any way to keep it from rusting any farther?

I love the power folding mirrors on my 2014 F250 Lariat, really makes a difference in parking lots. Is it possible to make them fold automatically when turning off the vehicle? I know it is a lazy person question but with automatic seats and mirror/peddle position wouldn't automatic folding also be a good idea?

I have a 2014 f 350 super cab xlt. Ford design engineers should be ashamed. But really who has installed the older (2009 ish) ford seat in there trucks for a little more comfort? How much fabrication was needed? Hate to say it but if I cant put the older truck seats in I'm going to buy GMC. These seats really suck.
