Notice to come in to dealership for a computer update for transmission on 2010 Ford Fusion SEL. After update, transmission flared and damaged occured needing repair. After repair vibration was present when stopped at traffic signal. Dealership torked motor mounts. Vibration returned and is worst. Car had 10K miles when update was done damaging transmission. MPG fell by 3.5 mpg in city/highway driving from previous high before repairs. Can this be a motor mount issue? Car has 20K miles now.
View 1 RepliesLexus RX 2010-15 :: Steering Wheel Shaking After 5000 Miles / 6 Months Service Performed
Yesterday had 5000 miles/6 months service performed on 2015 3500 miles AWD RX-350. Right after leaving the dealer felt that steering wheel is too light. After some driving it returned to normal, but with very light shimmer during driving (40-50 ml/h) and stops . Today was backing up from garage and shaking was much more noticeable when reversed and parked, also it was some kind of (I think) engine roar. After that drove almost 30 miles with some steering wheel light shimmering, but no other issues.
Is it normal car behavior, and I'm just paranoid ? Or, if there is a potential problem, what could trigger it, and how it could be resolved?
Ford - Fusion :: 2010 V6 Stalling At Highway Speeds?
My daughter's 2010 v6 Fusion has stalled twice (without warning) in the last month at 65+ mph. The dealer reported that since no fault codes were set, there were no repairs they could make to correct this very dangerous situation from recurring. What repairs were made to correct the problem. The car has only 23k miles and has been well maintained at the dealer.
View 3 RepliesFord - Fusion :: 2010 - Stumble When Stopped In Gear?
I've noticed in the past couple of days that when my Fusion is fully warmed up and stopped at a traffic light I'll feel a short rocking forward-backward. Almost like a bunch of guys are pushing on the car from behind. Sometimes, if it is really bad, I'll even seen the RPMs dip a little bit.
I was thinking that it might be motor mounts causing the sensation. But what would be making the engine dip idle RPM?
Additional info: 138k miles on it and transmission fluid was last changed at about 80k. Plugs changed at 100k. New air filter installed a couple weeks ago.
Ford - Fusion :: 2010 - Oil Change / Synthetic Blend Required
My 2010 Fusion SE has 44,500 miles on it. It is the 4cyl. model with a 6 speed manual transmission. I have had the oil changed every 4-5,000 miles, never had any issues. Today when I went in to get the oil changed the guy told me a synthetic blend is required, and he wanted to charge me an extra 20 bucks for the oil change. I looked up in owners man. and it says SAE 5W20 and some Ford nomenclature for the minimum requirements for quality, etc. My question is this, why haven't any of my other oil changes required an up charge to a more expensive oil? I would have noticed. Does this car really need synthetic blend, and if so, is it really better than conventional oil? Have my previous oil changed damaged the car?

View 1 RepliesFord - Fusion :: 2010 - Shut Down When Stopped At Stop Light
As I was driving home last night, and my 2010 Ford Fusion shut down. I was stopped at a stop light, and when the light changed I accelerated but nothing happened. On my dash board the oil light and battery light were on. I turned the car officially off, and it restarted. This has never happened before. I have about 38,000 miles plus. I am in sales and drive the car a lot during the week. What does this mean, and should I be concerned?

I bought my car and have had nothing but issues. I think I have driven the loaner rx almost as much as I have had my GX 460. Vibration issues, suspension issues, loose bolt issues, etc... Now for the double secret bonus I am on vacation and so is my GX. Went out tonight to pick up dinner after driving 3 1/2 hours and nothing but grinding clicks. Called roadside and they came. Not the battery. This is the second time it has happened. No lights are indicated.
View 14 RepliesCamry :: 2010 LE Power Steering Fluid Overflow - Steering Very Tight At Low / Parking Speeds
2010 camry LE
A family member did a tune up on the car and did not realize that the power steering reservoir had a HOT and COLD min/max lines. He filled up to the max line for HOT while the car was completely cold. He also filled up with Prestone Power Steering fluid with Stop Leak instead of ATF/DEXIII.
The car was driven a few times for maybe 50 miles in total before I found out about all this and I drained the fluid out to the appropriate levels. However the steering at low/parking speeds is still very tight (tighter than what I used to remember, at least).
Did he royally screw up the power steering system here? What can I do?
Ford F-150 (2009-2014) :: 2010 2WD - Power Steering Fluid Leak
My 2010 F-150 Lariat 5.4L 2WD Ext Cab with 76,000 miles is leaking power steering fluid. I traced it down to the cooling coil in between the radiator and the transmission cooler. It does not look easy or cheap to get out of there. Stop leak scares me a bit...

View 7 RepliesFord F-150 (2009-2014) :: 2010 - Power Steering Reservoir Is Constantly Losing Fluid
I have a 2010 F150 4.6 3V... The power steering reservoir is constantly losing fluid. I've purchased the truck,used, a few months ago, bought a warranty. The dealership has had it multiple times now and can't find the leak. They just keep replacing hoses and the problem keeps occurring. Also worth noting, the truck has 6" lift with 35s. I've have also pulled the radiator cap and found a decent amount of what looks to be sludge/oil inside. Dealership says it's probably just bad coolant.
View 1 RepliesPassat (B5) :: Loud Whine Coming From Steering Column After Service?
Sometimes I wonder why I have this car serviced....I have a 2000 Passat V6, just had the timing belt, water pump and infamous ABS control module replaced. Also had problems with the secondary air system (I think that's what it's called??) - another mechanic identified a couple of blocked areas and repaired. So now, all of the flashing lights are gone, but there is a very high pitched whine that is pronounced when I'm turning and sounds like it's coming thru the steering column? Goes away after about 20 minutes driving - should I take the car back??
View 4 RepliesFord - Fusion :: 2012 V6 - MPG So Inconsistent?
I have a 2012 Ford Fusion with a V6 and record my mileage & fuel info every time I fill up. For the first 45,000 miles I was getting 26mpg consistently every time I filled up, around 45,00 miles it started hopping around. Some fills I get as low as 20mpg others I get up to 33mpg. Over several fill-ups it is averaging close to 27mpg for the past year, but the volatility concerns me. I haven't seen something like this on past vehicles and not sure what it could be.
