Ford F-150 (2009-2014) :: Vibration In Floor Board And Gas Pedal
I recently had a leveling kit installed on my 2014 f150 super crew 4wd. When I picked it up, I heard a humming in the front end that ended up being a bad iwe actuator. I took it to the ford dealer and they replaced it. No more humming, but now I have a very annoying vibration in my gas pedal that can also be felt in the floor board and gas pedal. I've had it aligned. I thought it might be my front driveshaft so I put it in neutral while driving and vibration is the same. It gets worse when I get up around 70mph. I also feel small jerks in the gas pedal at these speeds along with the vibration. It vibrates worse under heavy acceleration as well. Cause I can't wait to set my cruise every time I drive it bothers me that much. Only has 10,000 miles on it.

View 9 RepliesFord F-150 (2009-2014) :: Vibration In Gas Pedal / Floor / Steering Wheel
2009 FX4... Every once in a while, I'll feel a vibration in the gas pedal. It happens under acceleration, and typically if I'm pushing down and it has not downshifted yet. Then once it downshifts the vibration is less noticeable.
I have had the mechtronic unit replaced due to harsh shifting and the vibration was there before and after that was replaced. The drive shaft was also replaced due to a click/clinking noise and the vibration was there before and after as well. The harsh shifting and clinking noise was fixed with those repairs, but the vibration is still there. I notice it more when I am towing.
Pontiac - Grandam :: Gas Pedal Vibration During Acceleration Post Engine Work
The car is a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am, 3.4 L V6, 223K miles.
I had a major coolant leak and my normal repair shop couldn't handle it due to lack of equipment. So to a local dealership I went. The following is the assessment and work performed. "Cylinder head gasket leaking coolant. 12.80 Pressure tested coolant system and found the rear bank cylinder head gasket leaking coolant down the front of the engine. Replaced both head gaskets as well as intake, front engine cover gasket, valve cover gaskets and upper plenum gasket required for repair. Topped with coolant and performed LOF. Cleaned engine compartment area and road tested. Verified condition corrected".
When driving the car off the lot after the repair, I nearly stopped and went back in to complain. The gas pedal was vibrating on acceleration and its never done that before. I figured I'd drive it around for a while and see if it shook out and it didn't. I did drive back to the dealer the same day and rode with the mechanic who agreed that the vibration is there but didn't realize it was new. He went step by step through the repair with me. All work was done from the top of the engine down so the transmission and CV joints were never touched. The only idea the mechanic had was there is a small crack in the shielding on the throttle cable along with rust. I'm tempted to replace this anyways from a safety standpoint but could this cracked housing/rusted cable be causing the vibration? During the course of the repair, this is the only part that was touched that is related to the throttle. The throttle itself is fine.
The vibration only occurs when accelerating from a complete stop. It evens out once a speed over 40 mph is reached. It does not seem to be dependent on the AC compressor running.
Ford - Explorer :: 2009 4x4 - Low Growl Hum Noise And Vibration Felt On Gas Pedal When Accelerating At About 40 MPH
I'm the original owner at 50k miles with Ford ESP warranty. Drive-train still under original warranty. I started noticing a low growl hum noise and vibration felt on gas pedal when accelerating at about 40 MPH. At first I thought it was the road or tires.
Then a few weeks later on a slight hill the growl-low hum was accompanied with a much more noticeable/louder growl/grinding noise in a heartbeat like rhythm. Took it to dealer and they first said it was the transmission. It was replaced.
Then they said the noise was from the rear differential/axle. It was rebuilt, oiled and sealed. Taking it back today for another drive with the mechanic to show them again the problem persist. What it may be? Also, my MPG has dropped significantly from an average of 18 to 13. This is while driving on 4x4 Auto.
Ford F-150 (2009-2014) :: Vibration With AC On
I have a 2010 F150 Lariat 4x4 with the 5.4. It has around 63,000 miles on it. I purchased this truck last winter and recently have noticed a pretty heavy vibration when the AC is running. It only vibrates when I am at a stop. If I apply a little throttle the vibration seems to go away or it goes away if I shift to neutral. The vibration is not violent but it is above average and I would definitely not consider it normal AC vibration.

I have a 09 s crew with 6 1/2' bed also. Lariat, Max tow package (most of the cool toys) I bought it certified pre-owned in April of 2011.
My vibration is between 35 and 45 mph. Not felt in the steering wheel but all the seats feel it. Set the cruise at 40 mph and it will drive you nuts.Dealer has had it a couple days for this and all they have found was a sticky rear u-joint.
I am at 35,500 miles so I am thinking about just dropping it off and saying keep it till you find the problem.

I have a 2010 Ford F150 Lariat with 111000 miles on it and now I have a ticking noise under acceleration only and after reading some stuff on here that makes me believe that it is the cam phasers. 2014 ecoboost Supercrew 4x4 20k miles
It happened at the most inopportune time. I was in the left lane of a two lane road passing a slow truck on a somewhat busy road and it happened. Shudder, loss of power, check engine light on, limp mode. I was next to the cab of the truck when it happened and had to slow and get behind him to pull over and shut it down.
Potentially a dangerous situation.
I rarely step on it, but when I do, I expect it to work.
I baby this truck, almost 18 mpg lifetime average for the 20k miles on this truck.
I took it directly to the dealer to get checked out.
Codes P0305 and P0306.
Checked for carbon tracking on plugs, none found.
Performed a power balance and coil stress test, no problem found.
Removed CAC deflector for inspection, no issues found.
Updated PCM to latest calibration.
Ford F-150 (2009-2014) :: Trans Noise Upon Acceleration
I have about 22,000 miles on the odometer. I bought it as a CPO with 2200 miles on it. Truck is all stock.
I have heard this noise only once before. I will accelerate up to about 45mph, back off to about 30-35 possibly less, then accelerate again. When I do, it downshifts and I hear a lout noise that sounds like a yelp a dog would make if startled.
Ford F-150 (2009-2014) :: 2011 - Vibration At 75 / In 6th?
My 2011 3.7 CC seems like it is missing at speed.
If I am around 75 or so in 6th is vibrates, but downshifting to 5th or 4th seem to take it away.
I am going in tomorrow and have the tires rotated and balance, but I think it is somewhere else. It has a little over 42,000 miles
Ford F-150 (2009-2014) :: Vibration At 60 - 65 MPH While Towing?
I have a 2103 F150(5500 miles) and a 2013 Ranger Z522 bass boat( 23'-4800 lbs 3000 miles). I get that ole strange vibration between 60 and 65 when towing) My tire dealer balanced all 8 wheels for me. I tried to get my truck to do it by itself but did not notice. It does not do it all the time. I'm going to say about 1/2 the time it does it and then it will not. It only does it at that speed range which to me at one time was a wheel balance problem.
When it does it i can see the head of my trolling motor on my boat vibrate with it. I did try to give the truck a little power to see if it effects it. It did not. I did this because back in the 80's i had a truck that the drive shaft was a little out of balance. Power to the drive chain would effect it enough that you could notice. I've tried to get the truck to do it by itself but can't.
Ford F-150 (2009-2014) :: Locking Differential While Turning Or On The Gas Pedal?
Just a quick question about the locking differential. I'm just wondering can you activate the locking diff while turning or on the gas pedal? Because today when I was climbing up an icy hill, I thought I'd turn on the locking diff,I was still on the gas when I pulled the switch. For a second I saw a warning on my dashboard, but quickly went away before I had a chance to read it. Just wondering in what conditions you can lock the diff. I also hear that you couldn't activate it while turning at a certain degree?
View 7 RepliesFord F-150 (2009-2014) :: Eco Boost Turbos Cycling On And Off During Acceleration
I have a 2011 SCREW (build date late April) where the turbos started cycling on and off during acceleration or under load when pulling a trailer or going into a strong head wind. It started at about 18,000 miles and I brought it in to the dealer. They road tested it and could not duplicate. It continued doing it and I had a dealer tech ride with me at the next oil change. He confirmed the problem...this was around 22,000 miles.
Dealership contacted Ford and although they were aware of it (something to do with opening and closing of waste gates if that makes sense) they did not have a fix. They said to check back after the holidays. Since then it has gotten worse cycling on and off under a lesser load. The dealership checked again two days ago with Ford and still no solution but they thought the eventual fix would be to re-flash the computer.
Ford F-150 (2009-2014) :: Chime And Screen Flash On Acceleration
15k on my Platinum, love the truck. I've had a handful of chimes and flashes of something on the productivity screen, most recent on an acceleration, pretty good, no WOT, but 2/3 or so, hear the chime and see the orange box on the screen, but it is gone before I can see any text etc.
Oil level good, 10% til next change. possible tire sensor? Never had a TPMS prompt. Have noticed it has only been when the outside temp is around 30 degrees F, or lower.
Ford F-150 (2009-2014) :: 2012 - Knock And Power Lag During Acceleration
My 2012 3.5 ecoboost has a knock and power lag during acceleration. Dealer diagnosed as timing chain and cam shaft phasers. I asked if this was common and they said, "yes, it will happen to all of them at some point." Basically, he said if you baby the truck it will take longer, but still happen. Wasn't surprised I'm having it at 67k miles as he saw another recently at 70k. The power drop is dramatic, so I don't see any option, but to have the work done.

View 3 RepliesLexus IS 2014+ :: Buzzing / Vibration Feel From Gas Pedal?
2015 Lexus IS 350 AWD.
Any time I've been driving for 10-15 minutes, my foot starts to feel like pins and needles because of a buzzing/vibration feel from the gas pedal. If someone were to drive in stop and go traffic for 5 minutes, they wouldn't notice it. However, it takes me 30 minutes on a highway to get to work and my foot is on the gas pedal the entire time. However, within several minutes of having my foot on the pedal, I get this sensation as described above and it gets so annoying that I almost don't want to have my foot on the gas pedal any more.
I did change my tires when I first got my car with Michelin tires but kept the stock rims. I did this so I can save the run flat tires for when I return my vehicle after the lease is done. I highly doubt its from the tires as there are no vibrations or other feelings in the steering wheel or seat. The car is otherwise smooth.
However, I feel like there are these buzzing vibrations in the foot well of this vehicle. What it could be? I know these gas pedals are metal but I find it hard to believe that would be the reason.
