Lexus RX 2004-09 :: RX330 Original Key Not Working - How To Reset
How to reset/re-program my original key. It all started when the plastic casing of the key broke off and tried to use the original spare key wallet type with transponder and key dont go all the way in the ignition and key get stuck in one position but manage to get it out. Tried to put the broken one with the transponder close to it and will not start. Luckily i still have another original key that works. I have change the battery of the broken one and fabricated new housing made of brass and have tried the remote and it doesnt work too.

I've owned my '04 echo since new. It now has 172,000 km on it. It still has the factory original shocks and struts in it. Surely its time to replace them. I've never owned a car that used struts before. Now I have read here before if they aren't leaking then they are ok.
I guess I could do the old shock test of bouncing the car up and down and see how many times the car bounces after you stop pushing up and down on the fenders. The car just seems to ride harsher over the bumps in the road now.

Ford F-150 (2009-2014) :: 2011- After Replacement Of Back Up Camera Won't Get All Options?
I have a 2011 F-150 Super Crew and have had to replace the back up camera due to a malfunction. Once the dealer replaced it under warranty I was no longer able to get all the options that the previous camera had. Since then the 2nd camera went bad and I just had it replaced again. This new camera still is missing 2 of the options the original camera had. The dealer now tells me that they must have been deleted off the software on the replacement cameras. They were unable to verify that through Ford though.

i have a 90 f150 standard cab with the 5.25 door speakers. ive seen where bigger size speakers can be put in with little modification. which size is best without doing major mods and what speakers would be a improvement, ill be running a 80 watt per channel amp to them, also have a pair of 8" subs behind the seat.

I pulled a brake caliper off for inspection, and when I reinstalled it, I managed to strip one of the holes on the caliper bracket when putting one of the 7mm bolts back in - haste makes waste, ya? So, I am trying to find out my options, is it possible to get it re-threaded, helicoiled, or is it toast and I need to buy a new one?

So I have the luk full ceramic clutch now, this is my second one (about every year it needs replaced) and it's getting close to needing a new clutch again. Right now my 7.3 is sitting at 442hp and 864 TQ. Im Building a forged rod motor with the idea of getting 5-550 HP to the wheels out of it and hitting the 1000 TQ mark. What clutch will hold that and not chatter and try to knock my teeth out like my current clutch. The closer to a stock clutch engagement feel the better, I hate backing up or starting out with a load more than 10k (I have to start in low, or 4wd low to backup). Truck is a 01 crew cab, on 35's stock gears may be going to a 6" and 37's in the future but that's it.

Just bought the truck and when remote starting it i noticed it is turning on the heat. Having read a bunch of different posts it sounds like the climate control would be set to automatic which i would like to have it just use were i set my controls. Problem is i do not have any options on the instrument cluster for climate control and no auto button the the heater controls themselves. I would think that means i do not have automatic climate control but it is doing it. How to turn it off?

My XLT doesn't have a door keypad and in the last 2 years I've really missed it. I found one on eBay that is factory part. I know I'll need to purchase a new handle with the holes for the keys to come through, but my question is will my truck be pure wired with the necessary plug to install this or is it going to be a hassle? The description says it will work on any trick with keyless entry. I assume this means the key fob keyless entry but before I ordered it I wanted to check on here first.

I'm looking at 2010 Prius III. It doesn't have the Nav package.
What options are there that could add a good, clean backup cam and Nav system? Also, are there any aftermarket solutions for a "whiter" headlight?
In non-projector cars, I know you can get whiter bulbs (higher kelvin), but not sure about in the projectors.
Prius (Gen 3) :: Tab On The Mode Options For The USB No Longer Light Up
A couple of weeks ago my amp went out and it was replaced. I didn't use the USB port previously b/c my MP3 player is old and wouldn't connect. However after having the amp replaced it dawned on me I could use my phone (motorola cliq) to play music with the USB. It worked for a couple of days and then nothing. The tab on the mode options for the USB would no longer light up. I can still play music from my phones SD card via the aux and via bluetooth, but not the USB. Took the car back in and two days later they are telling me its my phone. Maybe, but considering it worked prior and nothing has changed on my phone I am at a loss.
Today, they called to tell me they were able to hook it up to a ipod and everything worked great! Mine DID work, so what changed? They suggested I use a stick/thumb drive. Went and bought one, loaded one album onto it and it won't work either. The USB tab won't even light up for me to choose it as an option. I do NOT want to go by a ipod when I have a perfectly great 16 g sd card in my phone that DID work! But I also want to use my touch screen to choose songs and go through my music files without having to use my phone while driving. The USB port is recognizing my phone as it charges it while plugged in. I have tried setting the phone to SD card on, and then off (charge only setting). Nothing causes that USB tab to light up and give me a choice to see whats going on.

Acquired my Phaeton about three weeks ago and could not be happier. Need to understand one of the front display screen options? I'm a little confused as to why "0" is displayed as "speed" when the car was actually going about 50 mph when the photo was snapped.

I have a 5 month old 2013 I4 SE with NAV and Apps. My Galaxy SII has been working fine with it since day one; however, when I got in it today and tried to make a call, it said Bluetooth not connected. I went to setup, and clicked on the bluetooth button. The next screen has an unchecked box beside "Bluetooth OFF", and all of the options following were 'greyed out' and not accessible. Is this a malfunction , or did I inadvertently do something that I shouldn't have done? I have tried everything I can think of, and nothing changes.

On our 2013 Prius II, it seems there are no options to switch off the rear dome light for the 2nd row seating without affecting the front -- the rear dome switch is only 2-positions (ON or ON w/doors) instead of 3 like most dome lights are (like the front). The problem for us is that we have a baby that rides in the back and when baby is asleep and we come home guess what happens.
