Century :: 2005 Buick Making A Noise When Hit The Brakes And All Lights On
A couple of weeks ago my 2005 Buick century start making a noise when i hit the brakes and all the lights on the dash lit up like a christmas tree. The noise it makes when i hit the brakes is like humming sound and the pedal will get kinda spungy and push in and out, if i keep driving it stops and all the lights come on (abs, trac off, service engine, and sometimes the brake light as if the parking brake is on) after all these lights come on the noises stop and the brake pedal works fine. I was told that the anti lock brake pump was going bad but I didn't realize there was a pump.

I have a 2007 Elantra with 138,000 miles. I never had any slipping or jerking or reverse issues in the past. I got into the car put it in reverse just fine then put it in drive and nothing happened, I put it in park and the car kept rolling like in neutral and started making a loud grinding noise. When I put the transmission in any other gear the noise stops but will not move and acts as if in neutral.

My 05 Explorer has started making a like slightly jumping motion and thumping sound when I let off the gas. It seems to maybe happen when it wants to gear down but it I give it the slightest gas it quits. Do you check the ans fluid when it's hot or cold? I checked it hot and it ran out.

2000 Explorer making what I would call a bearing humm. I have replaced both front wheel bearings over the past year. When I jack up the front and check for play everything is tight, I don't get any noise by spinning the tires. While driving I put the tranny in neutral and still get the hummm sound, so I don't think it is the tranny.
The sound definitely changes with the speed of the car. Turning the wheel or engaging the transfer case do not change the sound. I have had my son crawl around the car while I'm driving and he said the sound is not coming from the back, for sure the front but can't tell if it is specific to one side of the other.
Where do I go from here? This is my daughters daily driver and its been a great car, 148000 miles and no issues at all so far. I would like to figure it out so I can feel good about her driving the car.
Ford - Explorer :: Heat And AC Making Ticking Or Flapping Noise For Sometimes
My exlporer heat and A/C system has been making "ticking or flapping" noises for sometime. So, to make it stop I would turn fan to full blast and it would stop and the heater would function fine after that. Last week we hasd a warm spell and I switched to A/C (going through the same process to stop the noise). All was well until I tried to switch back to heat after the warm spell, and now I get nothing but cold air. The noise will only stop when I turn the temp dial to the cold side, but either way, all I get is cold air. Is this something I can fix, and if not what am I looking at for repair cost? I'm freezing!!!

Its getting worse. Noticed it a month or so ago, very slight ticking noise when the engine was cold. It would go away after a minute or two when the engine warmed up. Kinda sounded like a lifter ticking type noise when low on oil but I was not low on oil.
Now its getting more noticeable and it doesn't go away. Very noticeable when I take off or accelerate. less noticeable when I take my foot off the gas but its still there.
What it might be? I am pretty newbie about engines and I don't want some repair outfit telling me I need a rebuilt engine if all I need is to tighten my manifold or something. Because that would be my luck.

Ford - Mustang :: Brakes Making Noise When Pushed To Stop
So I'm really good with pointing out cars and what engine they may have but im a derp when it comes to going under the hood. Right now I have a 2009 v6 mustang it probably doesn't matter for my question. This has been going on for awhile and I dealt with it cause I couldn't really hear with my music on. Whenever I push on the brakes to stop it makes a pretty noisy and annoying clicking noise until I stop. Not like that weird siren noise you can here from breaks but a click click click sound. What this might be? Brake calipers need a change or what? Last time I checked, probably last year, the brake calipers were still good.

I have a 2014 Explorer Sport and I'm having problems with cranking. On really hot days when its 90+ degrees, my explorer will make a clacking noise when cranking. When its 100 degrees, the first try on cranking will give the same noise, turn over and not start. On the second try, it will start. The odd thing is, after it does crank, it will crank normally when I try it again. After waiting a few hours, the same issue will occur again. I'm thinking this may be a starter issue. I have a 1996 Explorer XLT 4x4 and I hear what I call barring making a noise when I accelerate. If it is the bearings in the rear end how expensive is this to fix? I'm fixing up my 1991 Ford Explorer Sport. I've replaced door panels, handles, center console, seat upholstery etc... I'm now looking for a replacement headliner. I've already checked LMC without any luck. Also my windows will not roll up/down even though the electric window motors are working. I can push and pull the windows up and down by hand while pushing the corresponding direction on the door control so it seems the mechanism is just slipping against the window. What exactly is this mechanism? what do I need to fix this problem?

My wife informed me about a noise coming from the chassis of her truck.
2007 Explorer XLT 4x4, 4.0 OHV, AT, 89,000 miles on the odometer.
We took the truck to dinner last night so I could investigate the problem. This occurs while only making left hand turns at slow speed.
There is a definite clunk sound AND feel. It actually sounds and feels like we are driving over a loose manhole cover, and IT DOES feel like metal to metal contact on the driverʻs sids of the truck.

Today i took my wheels off and installed the anti rattle caliper clips. They were missing and my brakes were making a ton of noise so my tech recommended it. I have them installed properly from the instruction i was given, and all the sudden my brakes hardly work, and the pedal goes to the floor. Experiencing this sound after driving the car for the first time in 5 months. It was parked outdoors in NJ weather since December with the handbreak off. I thought I experienced this sound last year as well, but only after not driving it for 3 weeks with handbreak on. I hear the sound everytime I step on the breaks. I have a 2002 explorer 2wd. I am trying to find an answer for this thumping noise as I accelerate. My first thought was a tire. I took them to be checked and had one replaced but all are good and less than 5k miles on them. I feel it in the pedals and in the steering wheel. The repetitive sound increasing with speed. I have, in the last 2 weeks, changed front rotors and pads with no difference in sound but good brakes now. And today replaced the drivers side upper ball joint and the front ds wheel hub assy. And no difference. What may be the problem?
