Ford F-150 - 1997-2003 :: Dome Light Does Not Come On When Open The Doors
When I open the doors, my dome light does not come on. How can i fix this? Also, my truck has cruise control, when i set it and it engages, no indicator light comes on on the dash. Is that normal?

My buddies 01 Ex will shut off the dome light after a short time with any or all the doors open. My 02 Ex will never shut the dome light out unless all doors are closed.
I guess I'm headed for the override switch but wanted to confirm before if I did that there wasn't an issue with something other component.
Elantra MD (2010-15) :: Doors Open While Locked And Driving
I was driving today and decided to test something that another elantra owner brought to my attention.
Doors are locked, I'm driving down the street and I pulled the handle to open my door. They open... As I'm driving... And I did not physically unlock my doors before pulling the handle.
I had my passenger try the back doors but they remained locked.
Is this usual for Hyundai or is there an extremely poor design flaw and safety hazard!
Ford - Explorer :: No Door Ajar But Dome Light Won't Go Off After Stopped And All Doors Closed
I had a problem with my door ajar light always being on, I was able to find out that it was in the sensor for the back glass and was able to fix it. But now when I cut the explorer off and remove the keys the dome light comes on instantly even if no doors are opened and the lock/unlock button on the driver door won't work. However if I manually turn off the dome light my lock/unlock button starts working properly. Also if I do not manually turn the light of with the roll switch the light will stay on until the computer kills the power to it about 10 mins later. What could cause this??

I have a 2000 Excursion 7.3 and having problems right now because my Door Chime and Dome light dont work when the doors are open. But for some odd reason, when the rear door is open, the dome lights work. The 4 doors doesnt work yet the rear door does
The reason i want this is because i want to install an alarm and the door signal is needed and it is suppose to be tapped at the dome/chime so when the door is opened, the alarm will sound so it is not just relying on the Shock sensor.
Ford Aerostar :: 1996 AWD - Warning Light On The Dash Blink Twice Every 30 Seconds Or So
1996 Aero with electronic AWD. This is my fourth Aero, the greatest van ever built! This one has the electronic all wheel drive and I loved it last winter. I get the warning light on the dash at startup to blink twice and then every 30 seconds or so it blinks twice again. This continues until I shut the van down and restart. Sometimes I do this restart two or three times to get the warning light to stop blinking twice. What does this "two blinking" sequence mean? And why does it not happen every time instead of the random happening?

Before you all say it, yes I have made sure that the "door" button has been pushed. The front done light will work when I turn on the individual map lights. However when I open the front doors they no longer automatically come on. I am going to bring it to the dealer ( I am assuming it is a faulty "door" switch) just wanted to see what you all thought before I bring it to them.

Ford F-150 - 1997-2003 :: Transfer Case Engaged And Locked In 4wd While Driving At 45 Mph
97 F150 4x4 5.4L ... Just put this truck back on the road after being parked since 2008. While driving at 45 mph, transfer case engaged and is locked in 4wd lo. I did notice a pop about a minute after I started the truck. Drove approx. 5 miles. Transfer case engaged and chirped the back tires, slowed speed to about 5mph. Having it towed home. I'm thinking shift motor???

I have an issue with my seat moving and the dome light coming on while driving. This happened several times and I checked the fuses and for a possible loose connection. When I jiggle the key in the ignition the seat would start to move. I was trying to replicate the issue. Today the seat moved and the light came on but this time the truck shut off... 78,000 miles on odometer. The van starts and runs great. Always has. No change in performance since check engine light went on. Took it to local parts store here in California. They used to run codes here but can't any longer for the usual reasons. I replaced the EGR valve because I knew it was due and disconnected the battery and started the van. Light was off. Drove it a few times and it came back on again. Still runs fine though. I heard the Aerostar may kick a code off simply because it's due for a plug change. I think the plugs are original so I'm going to replace them. Plug wires too.

Was driving issue free most of day, when leaving a red light I noticed my i had to give the van some extra gas to get up and go, then i could feel the brakes getting tighter and tighter to the point where I had to park the van. So currently my van is sitting in a parking lot 30 miles from home with locked up front brakes. Both driver and passenger front wheels were hot to the touch.

In hooking up a overhead DVD player it shorted out the Controlled Ground (Delay)(DOOR) Wire, now the dome light works still in the ON position but not in the AUTO position with the doors. It is very frustrating of a night when getting out and can't see. I'm not sure if it is a relay or a module that has gone bad and where it would be located. I know it's not a fuse because I have already check for that and I've checked the Controlled Ground Wire before it went bad and after with a meter.
