Prius Plug-in 2012-15 :: Location Of Charging Port

I just learned that the charging port is in the right rear, compared to the Prototype with the port in the left front. Seems to me that about 50% of the time, the driver will get in the car and drive off with the car still plugged in because they won't see the cable when getting in. Or at best, you will get in the car, and then have to get out again to unplug it. What am I missing?

Camry 2012+ :: Changing Center Console 12v Charging Port To Hot

I would like to make one or both of the 12v charging ports in the center console supplied by constant power, instead of accessory fed.

I haven't torn too deep into this car yet, so is there an easier way to do this besides running a lead from the battery? An empty spot in the fuse block perhaps?

Prius (2010-12) :: Phone Not Charging When Plugged Into Port Under The Dash

I noticed last night that my phone wasn't charging when plugged into the port under the dash. I tried the port in the arm rest and it too wasn't supplying power. The USB port did charge, however; so it's a limited issue, but one that will require a service call. My Prius is only two months old...

Toyota - Corolla :: 2008 - Radio / CD Player / Clock And Charging Port Shorted Out

Yesterday, I went to charge a friend's GPS in my 2008 Toyota Corolla. I discovered that a dime was stuck in the charging port (but why, by the way). I had to use a pen to carefully get the dime out, but in the process, I shorted out the car radio/CD player, clock, and the charging port. Everything else electrical works. How can I fix this problem?

Ford A/C :: 1988 E150 - Clutch Cycling Pressure Switch?

How would I test (if Possible) the A/C Clutch Cycling Pressure Switch on my 88 E-150 4.9L? I had to replace the evaporator, it was leaking along a seam. I have a feeling the Cycling Switch is bad too.

I was hoping for a simple test w/o Gauges. The Switch is in a real tough spot to remove it. I also heard they could be adjusted. There are no leaks in the system and no blockages, that we detected when we evacuated and recharged the system.

Ford - E150 :: 1995 - Acting Like Running Out Of Fuel - Fuel Pressure Regulator?

Today, my 1995 E150 suddenly started acting like it was running out of fuel Lucky for me, this happened close to both a parts store and my usual mechanic's shop. Unluckily for me, it happened on Saturday, and my shop can't get to it until Thursday. So here I am, hoping to do a fix in the meantime.

At first, it seemed that it must have been the fuel pump, because I couldn't hear it come on when I turned on the ignition. Then, a guy who said he was a mechanic told me he could hear the pump cycling, and that my problem was the fuel pressure regulator. So he managed to start the vehicle after a few tries, then it crapped out again. He did this twice. Then he went away.

I called every parts store in town, and none of them had a fuel pressure regulator for my vehicle, and the earliest any of them could get one was Monday. But I knew I was due for a fuel filter, and I'd changed filters on this vehicle before, so I got one of those and put it in. To my delight, the van started right up and idled beautifully. In fact, it ran beautifully for about 15 minutes, until I came to a slight rise, then it crapped out again. It still started up and idled smoothly, and even revved up smoothly, until it reached a high idle speed, at which point it crapped out. I did manage to limp into the parking lot of my shop - which, again, can't get to it until Thursday.

So my question is: does this sound like a fuel pressure regulator to you? If so, is that a job which somebody with a reasonable mechanical aptitude (i.e., at least good enough to change the fuel filter) should be able to feel safe doing? If the answer to those two is "yes" (or even if it's "no")....

Ford 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel :: High Pressure Oil Stand Pipe Port Mounted To Block - Damaged?

I am doing heads studs and gaskets on the truck. I forgot to remove the stand pipe and started to lift the head off the truck with the engine jack. Well i bent the stand pipe and the port to the bock was a little loose. Tightened it back down and it seems ok. Could I have damaged anything by doing that? how is that all connected to the high pressure oil pump? I just want to make sure i didnt damage anything by doing that and since im already here I would rather make a fix instead of needed to tear down again.

LeSabre :: 2001 - AC Low Pressure Service Port?

My son has an 01 LeSabre Custom with 87k. He says the a/c isn't working. I tried to put my gauges on it tonight, but I couldn't find the low pressure service port, but there's two on the high side (one on either side of a tubing connector).

I figure it should be obvious. I'm worried that the system was previously dorked with...with the two high-side ports and no low-side port. But everything looks factory.

The dryer is in the front left (passenger) of the engine compartment (when standing in front of and facing vehicle). I see the low-side line from evaporator come into it, then out of it down to the compressor in the center bottom, behind radiator. No port that I can find.

While looking for the a/c port, I also saw CVJ grease splattered all over on the driver side...it's always something. Just bought this last February (couldn't check the a/c too well) to replace the very nice 00 LeSabre 55k we bought in November for him. But the 00 didn't survive the collision with the truck that pulled in front of him...

Saturn - SW2 :: 1994 - Leaking Low Pressure A/C Port

I recently tried to recharge my 1994 Saturn SW2 air conditioning. The system took the charge fine, nice cool air again. Yea! On disconnecting the adapter, I heard the sound of escaping gas. I was able to place my thumb over the port and block the leak, tried reattaching adapter and removing several times, but the valve will not fully seal. Placing the cap back on the port with a small piece of plastic food wrap (hi tech) stopped the sound, but obviously not the leak entirely. A couple of weeks and the a/c is back to blowing hot air.

Is there any way to encourage the valve to seal? Should I try the variety of refrigerant that seals leaks? Is there a better choice for blocking the leak than food wrap? If it comes to it, replacing the low pressure line, is that something a person who knows how to use a wrench but not much more can do?

Lexus ES 2007-12 :: ES350 AC Giving Warm Air On Driver Side - Where Is Low Pressure Port

I have a ES350 and it is doing the issue of having warm air (or not cooled air) on the driver side, but has cold air on the passenger side. I looked around and saw it was a common problem. One of the solutions I read was to just refill the system with R134A. Not a problem for me, except I don't know where the low pressure port is located in my car. I was trying to find a online service repair manual on my car to locate where I need to connect to, to recharge the system.

Ford :: 1989 E150 Van - Thermostat Malfunction

Many years ago, we replaced the thermostat. Because it started running hot, we replaced with a hotter thermostat based on a mechanic's suggestion. Every now and again going up a hill and especially in warm temperatures the gauge suggests that the engine is about to overheat. Also, the temperature gauge reads really cold in the cold, and there isn't enough heat inside. Some mechanics have offered to replace the fan clutch but then they don't seem to think it's a big deal.

Ford - E150 :: 1999 Van Mysteriously Won't Start Sometimes

1999 Ford E150 with 150K on it. This van has generally been a champ, but it's recently developed a habit of not starting.. sometimes. I replaced the battery a couple months ago, and the starter sounds fine, it always cranks enthusiastically, but the engine won't start. It's as though it's out of gas, but there's plenty of gas. And I'll retry every so often, and then all of a sudden, hours or days later, it will just start right up like nothing ever happened.

On one such occasion I finally paid to have it towed to the shop. And the mechanic goes out, turns the key.. and it starts right up. So then they run the standard diagnostics, said the fuel pressure looks good. So they don't have any idea what the problem is either, and their only suggestion is to tow it in again next time it doesn't start, or leave it with them for a long time until they can recreate the problem.
