Lexus GS 2013+ :: Buzzing Sound After Cold Start
Can't exactly pinpoint this yet but for sure it's very consistent. Every morning when the car is cold (and been sitting for 12 hours), when I get in the car and start, within the first 5-10 seconds, there will be a long buzzing noise coming from behind the radio or cup holder area. I don't feel anything is vibrating though. It goes on for like 2-3 seconds, then off, and usually another few seconds there will be another one or two short ones. after that everything is fine
when I leave work (warmer), I don't seem to hear anything at all.

I just got some gas in my car today. I didn't fill up. I put in $25 worth which wasn't enough to come close to filling the tank. After getting gas and driving away I noticed that there was a very strong smell of fuel in my car. It made me feel extremely nauseous and sick just from the 5-10 minute drive home. I noticed the smell is also noticeable in my trunk when I opened it to take my groceries out.
When I picked up the gas pump to put it in the hole to fill up the tank there was some residual gas in the pump from the person before me that spilled out into the gas hole area and dripped down the side of my car but I'm not sure why that would cause a fuel smell inside the cabin and the trunk. Would it??
What the problem might be? As I said this is the first time it's happened in my car (it's a 2013 with just over 20,000 km on it) and I didn't even fill the tank so I don't believe it's possible for overfilling to be the issue here.

I have a 2012 limited (non tech pkg) and I want to see if my speakers are the only ones that have a buzzing to them during cold mornings? Once it warms up, the speakers tend to be better. I have the power bass on low and I usually listen to AM radio in the morning. Kind of hard to explain but there is a buzzing rattle noise when the sound reaches a high point. It isn't a constant noise but rather dependent on the sound.

I had a creaking in the sunroof that the dealer resolved a while ago but now have one or 2 rattles from the inside back area (maybe the hatch) even on small bumps. I already took everything out except the spare tire and don't think that is it.

I installed a Morimoto Elite HID system in my car. Testing it out I noticed that while the car is off, but the ignition is on, the lights work flawlessly. Once I started the car up the driver's side light flickers and there's a harsh buzzing noise coming from the relay.
You may be thinking to yourself, "This is an easy one, he just needs a capacitor" ....but the thing is, I also installed a capacitor with it. The power from the stock headlights plugs into a cable that runs through the rubber flange (that fills the hole you make in the back of the housing cap) directly into the capacitor. The output from the capacitor then runs into the relay. I believe this is the correct setup.
Elantra GD (2013+) :: Vents Inside The Car Stops Blowing Air Randomly
2014 Elantra GT SE tech package. This issue is intermittent so I am reluctant to take it to the dealer as they will just say there is nothing wrong if they cannot replicate the issue.
The problem I have is the ventilation inside the car stops blowing air randomly. I could be driving for 1/2 hour, 1 hour, 3 hours, and all of the sudden the amount of air blowing out of the vents drops down to almost nothing. I can still hear the fan blowing away at what sounds like full power, but air is just barely trickling out of the vents. Really sucks on hot days! This is going to be a bigger issue once winter comes.
Elantra GD (2013+) :: Frost Inside The Windshield - Noisy Valves / Lifters
I will have had my car 2 years in March so this is the 2nd winter. This happened last winter and now just happened again. This year has been pretty warm actually so this is the first cold snap. I don't have recirculate on so that's not an issue. I don't get a lot of snow or anything in the car either but I notice on some cold nights in the morning I have frost inside the windows, especially the windshield. I thought this morning when I left ( -18 C ) and hit a small pothole that it almost sounded like the windshield creaked.
The other thing is noisy valves / lifters. When it's cold and I first start the car my engine sounds kind of like a diesel or at least the vales seem noisy. I only have 23,000km and have religiously changed the oil every 5,000 km.

I might trade this '13 Elantra GT for a '14 or '15. Too many problems. I knew I shouldn't have bought a first year model.
When the engine is cold, the clutch slips. When it warms up, the clutch is strong like how it should be. Having a slipping clutch when engine is cold? My car only has 7,000 miles and I drive conservatively.
Elantra MD (2010-15) :: 2013 - Groaning Or Whining Noise On Cold Start
When starting the car and ONLY when it's a cold start, like sitting overnight, it makes this weird "groaning" or "whining" noise. I took a video of it because if I drive it to the dealer, then start the car there, it's not going to do it as it only happens after a long period of being off. Listen really closely after the car starts and right before the radio comes on, you will hear a faint groaning noise. It's louder in person, but this is the best I could do.

Since I've had this car I randomly get a buzzing which I thought was coming from the centre console. It sometimes lasts 2 minutes, sometimes 15. I just purchased a 2016 Hyundai Elantra and the FM radio channels are all experiencing intermittent "buzzing/humming" on them in the background.
AM and Sattelite radio are fine. I've checked on other FM radios from same locations as the Elantra, and those are fine too.

I have a new 2014 RX350, and around the 500 mile mark I began hearing a faint static/buzzing noise that is definitely noticeable when it is very cold outside. It seems to be related to the braking system (i.e. when you press and release the brake pedal), but I have heard it when I'm just driving and not touching the brake pedal. It almost sounds like the car's electronics are going through a self-check, but it is audible. Took my RX to the dealer and they said that the noise is "normal" and that all third generation RX's have that noise - something to do with the brake pedal modulation? All I know is that it is annoying, especially when everything else is so quiet when you drive without the radio on and the fan speed turned down. Definitely disappointing in any car but especially a Lexus.
