Dodge - Durango - Heating :: 2002 - Hot Air Coming Out Of The Vents
Ok, so, my heater works, I can feel the hot air coming out of the vents, but no matter what setting I use, I can't get the blower to kick on. The hot air just trickles out. What might be wrong, and how much, or how hard it would be to fix? The weird part is that sometimes the fan will work.

I have a 2002 Dodge Durango and the rear passenger air blows cold only - was fine last winter. Neither the passenger or the driver controls will get warm air to the rear via the overhead vents. Warm air comes out under the front seats to the rear only.
View 1 RepliesFord 7.3L Power Stroke (1999-2003) :: A/C And Heat Not Working - No Air Coming Out Of Vents
I noticed a couple weeks ago after starting the truck and turning on the a/c that nothing was coming out of the vents. I found it odd when after driving a few miles the a/c kicked in and started blowing cold air. Today I needed to put on the defrost and same thing, nothing came out of the vents. I drove around for a while hoping it would kick in just like the a/c did but nothing. I did check the fuses and relay. When you turn the control either to heat or a/c you can hear a clicking sound under the hood. It's trying to engage but nothing is coming out of the vents.

I have a 1999 Dodge Durango, 8 cylinders, with 200K miles. For the last 6 months the transmission is sometimes hesitating shifting from 2nd to 3rd. I have to play with the gas at around 25-2700 rpm before it smoothly shifts into 3rd. Downhill or when accelerating slow it shifts OK. It also seems to shift much better when the weather is cooler and the engine is not hot.
I changed the transmission fluid, filter and speed sensor, but it did not work. While it does not seem like an emergency I like to see what I can do next to fix this problem before it gets worse. What else I should look at?
Dodge - Durango :: 1999 - Dies While Running Intermittently?
Over the past few months, my 1999 Dodge Durango with 64,000 miles on it and the 5.9 liter engine inexplainably dies when driving. It has happened about 4 times over the past 6 months. I will be driving along and all of the sudden, the car turns off while moving. I have to pull off the road and sit for a few minutes. After a bit, I start the car back up and it runs fine. This has occurred when decelerating exiting the freeway, on a residential street while costing along and while accelerating on the freeway.

View 13 RepliesPassat (B7) :: No Heat Or Air Coming Out Of Vents
The other morning I started my car up and no heat or air would come out of my vents. The night before I had to drive through a blizzard and my car was completely packed with snow. The climate controls function normally, everything is lighting up when i select a button, but no air is coming out of the vents (rear defrost and seat warmers work fine). There is no sound of the blower starting when I turn the air on, hot or cold. I live in Northeast Ohio so we currently have several inches of snow and it's well below freezing outside. I live in an apartment so my car is outside 24/7 between being here and at work. I looked up a bunch of posts on here and other websites to try to figure it out. I ended up taking my cabin filter out and it is completely packed with snow. So i vacuumed out the snow that was left in the cabin filter housing as far as i could reach. I also unpacked as much snow as possible from wheel wells seeing as the HVAC vent goes to there, and the blower still doesn't work.
What I am guessing, which I could be completely wrong, is that the HVAC vent is completely packed with snow and it's not letting the blower turn. I guess my question is does that seem remotely possible or is it something else completely? My climate control doesn't work on the highest setting so I don't think its the relay I read about and my heater has been working fine with no noises or anything and I don't believe it would just go bad out of the blue.

The vents in my 2002 Prius are starting to become problematic. When I turn on the heat, the air is not coming out. When I hit the glove compartment, the air starts to come out, but it is very low and stops after a minute or two. I just want to know if the blower motor is dying, and how to replace it, if it is really the blower.
View 1 RepliesGmc - Envoyxl :: No Heat Or Air Conditioning Coming Out Of Overhead Vents
I have a 2003 GMC Envoy XL. There isn't any heat or air conditioning coming out of the overhead vents. My mechanic tells me it is a control head module. I would like to try and fix this myself. I don't know where this module is located on the vehicle. It seems I could just remove the defective one and replace it with a new part. Are these modules easy to find in part stores and how expensive is this part?

View 1 RepliesCivic - Honda :: 2003 - No Heat Coming From Vents Unless The Car Is Over 2000 RPM
2003 Civic, ~180,000 miles. Previously had overheat problems, replaced head gasket, timing belt, water pump, thermostat and hoses (+ a few other things) No longer over heating, but there is no heat coming from the vents unless the car is over 2,000 rpm. Hoses to the heater core are both warm/hot, so flow through heater core seems to be good. Also AC has same issue no cold air unless over 2,000 rpm. Is this the control to the blend door? Are they operated by vacuum and with a leak, need higher vacuum to operate?
View 8 RepliesFord A/C :: 1986 F250 - No Heat Coming Out Of Dash Vents?
I have a 86 f250 with rebuilt 302, new radiator, new hoses and heater core. I know the cold to hot selector works to open the door. now the ac works great although my heat is not working properly. I can put the defroster on with heat and the blower in the engine compartment comes on like normal. Now the problem is that we i put it on heat the blower in the cab does not blow air through any vents. I just purchased this vehicle and not really sure how everything works.
Funny thing also when the ac is on i turn the blower on low and its really high then the high is really low (its like to switch is working backwards) not sure if that has anything to do with it. Then when I was looking in the engine compartment i noticed the wiring harness has a plug going to the blower, then one plug to what looks like a heat strip of some sort, then someone took two oranges wires and wire nutted together to get the engine compartment blower to work. So now I'm wondering if I am missing something there??? Here's a pic of the engine compartment.......

I am guessing that i will have to take the dash off and clean out the box check the door etc. What did you do to rectify?

View 1 RepliesFord F-150 - 1997-2003 :: Losing Coolant / No Heat Coming From Vents
About mid-October I noticed when it as real cold out and I had the heat running whenever I would come to a stop I noticed there is very little to no heat coming from the vents, despite the engine being warm and running at operating temps. At the time I was working for a shop and I asked one of the mechanics what the problem was. He said that it was the radiator not having enough coolant.
Turns out when we pulled the cap the coolant res, was just about bone dry. So we added in about a gallon or so of coolant with the truck running and sure enough at idle the heat was back.
Fast forward to the last couple of weeks and when I am sitting at idle again same thing happens. So somehow the engine is losing coolant. Its not ending up in the oil (no white on the dipstick) and there is not a coolant leak. As it sits there is 255,300 miles on the truck now. 1999 5.4L F150....
