Camry :: Tire Rotation Pattern
I found this thread in the Corolla forums and was curious as to what pattern people use here since I will be rotating the tires on my '07 Camry myself for the first time. The manual says to use Pattern D for non-directional tires, but my Civic manual and a few other cars I have looked up suggest using Pattern C, which make more sense to me as it would seem to provide more even wear on both sides of the tire by crossing them to opposite sides of the car.

View 2 RepliesCorolla / Matrix 2009-13 :: Knocking In Rear Right Tire
Potholes are nasty where I live .It sounds like there's something in my trunk rolling back and fourth. When I accelerate it knocks back. When I brake it knocks forward. Just like rolling, it only happens once in each direction. Sort of sounds like the noise of bending/popping metal.I'm taking my car in later this week.

I have 3 new tires and 1 with wave or cupping wear. It is a new tire not even a year used. I went in to get my alignment fixed because I was told the cupping is due to car being out of alignment. They told me I have to replace the tire with the cupping wear on it before they do the alignment. Is this true? or can i keep the tire and not have to shell out more money for a tire that is not even a year old. that being said, I am now doing more research and realizing that cupping is actually due to problems with the shocks. not alignment.

View 4 RepliesCorolla / Matrix 2009-13 :: Could Inflated Tire Cause Engine To Wear Out Faster?
I purchased the 2010 corolla back in October of 2010 and never noticed until almost 2 years later that all of my tires were inflated to 62 PSI.
I went to the dealer and they didn't know anything, I myself didn't put any air into it nor did my brother who drives the car too. However he has always complained that the ride was stiff.
Iam wondering if it cause my engine to wear out faster since the tires were so stiff and it bumps when going over pot whole. I could be 100% certain I drove it off the lot with 62 PSIs.....
Corolla / Matrix 2009-13 :: Tire Pressure Monitoring System Light Won't Go Away
As the title says, I can't get the light to go off. I followed the procedure to reset it but after it blinks three times, the light is still on. I've also read that I need to take the car above speeds of 19mph and/or an hour, for light to disappear but still nothing. Although I didn't drive it more than an hour since my commute is short. I've made sure that the pressure is around 30psi on all four tires.

View 2 RepliesCorolla / Matrix 2009-13 :: 2011 S - Pressure Loosing On Left Rear Tire
Last week I was losing pressure on my left rear tire. It turned out to be a 3 inch spike that was bent inside the tire. The tires are the original Goodyears with 37k miles on them. I decided to replace 2 rear tires with Yokohama YK580s and turned the extra Goodyear in to a full size spare
Question. At high speeds 50 plus the rear feels like it's sliding a bit if I barely move the steering wheel. Having issues with 2 different tires.
Corolla / Matrix 2009-13 :: Unable To Reset Tire Pressure Warning System
I have never had this problem with my 2010 Matrix until this week when I put the summer rims with transponders back on.
As per the manual, I turned the key to "on" and held the reset button. The pressure warning light is supposed to slowly flash 3 times to indicate that it has been reset, then go out. Holding the reset button has no effect this year and the pressure warning light just stays on.
The manual says to take it to a Toyota service centre if the reset procedure fails.
Corolla / Matrix 2009-13 :: Low Tire Pressure Indicator Flashing For 20 - 30 Seconds Then Became Solid
So I just bought new wheels, and had them put on. Went from stock 16's to 17's now. After I had them put on there was no issue.
Now after I was driving for about 30 mins, I noticed that the Low Tire Pressure Indicator started flashing for 20-30 seconds, then stayed solid.
And now the indicator has been there ever since. I've tried reinitializing the TPMS but it stlll didn't go away.
Corolla / Matrix 2009-13 :: After Installation Of Snow Tire Pressure Warning Light Won't Come On?
Had snow tires on separate rims without pressure sensors installed today. Service rep said that the tire pressure warning light will come on and stay on. However I rode car home and the warning light did not stay on after the initial engine start up. Is this a problem and a concern, or a good thing ?

View 2 RepliesToyota - Corolla :: Steering Wheel Shaking After Oil Change And Tire Rotation
So I have a Toyota Corolla 2004, and 117000 miles. Just this Saturday (2 days past) I got an oil change and a tire rotation (at a Valvoline drive through service station). This morning, once I was going 50-60 miles an hour on the highway, the steering wheel began to shake (left and right, fast). The vibrations come in waves, where maintaining a constant speed, it will shake, then the shaking will smooth out, and then it will start to shake again, in ~30 second cycles.
I'm assuming that this problem has something to do with my tire rotation, since it's the first one I did in recent memory, (Thought they do this as part of where I got my care inspected?) .. What should I do?
Toyota - Corolla :: 2003 - Noise From Front Left Tire After Rotation
I got my tires rotated about 2 months ago on my 2003 Toyota Corolla. It had about 88k miles on it at that time. Since the moment I drove out of the shop, there has been a noise from my driver's side front tire. There is no vibration in the steering wheel or on the floor and the noise only happens when the car is in motion. The timing and sound of the noise made me think it was caused by uneven wear pattern on the tires. But it's been awhile since the rotation and the noise has not changed (neither increased nor decreased). The noise is most noticeable when I'm driving on certain road surfaces, like very smooth roads. Since the rotation, I'd be surprised if I've driven more than 500 miles max. What this could be?

View 1 RepliesCorolla / Matrix 2009-13 :: How To Disable ABS
So I want to disable the ABS on my Corolla. I was wondering if I could pull the fuse in my bonnet to disable the ABS and if I were to do so which fuse would I pull.
I think if I were to pull the fuse from the interior, the other car features that are tied into the fuse wouldn't work.
If I can't pull the fuse in the bonnet, what are the other ways I could disable ABS? I read that removing the relay is an option.
Also is there anything I should know if I were to reactivate ABS? For instance, would the ABS light be off when I presumably reactivate it or do I need to perform some extra steps to remove the ABS light?
