Camry :: Vibration While Driving In 65 To 75 MPH Range After Rotating Tires
I just recently rotated my tires and now I have a lot of vibration while driving in the 65-75 mph range. There are some areas like around 74 mph it smooths out where I could cut a diamond on the steering wheel. Most of the time while driving in the 55 mph range I don't notice it. I had the front tires rebalanced but they didn't seem to be the problem. Where should I look next?
View 14 RepliesLexus GX 2004-09 :: Methods For Rotating Tires
I understand the methods for rotating tires but I'm about to deviate from the norm and only switch two of my tires with one another. Just bought an 08' gx and using my tire tread gauge all tires are wearing evenly across their tread. My front tires are at 7/32(+) and 6/32(+), my rear tires are at 7/32 and 7/32(-).
I'm planning to only rotate my 6/32(+) front tire with my 7/32(-) tire and check again in a few thousand miles. Is rotating based on tread depth smart or is there a reason that the standard rotational patterns are all I can find on google? (+) and (-) indicate slight variations off of a reading, the gauge is not accurate beyond 32nds of an inch.
Sonata I45 (LF 2015+) :: Need To Reset TPMS Sensors When Rotating Tires?
My understanding, and it seems logical to me, that if you rotate the tires and do not reset the TPMS, the pressure and alarm would come from the wrong location. I have been told that the TPMS sensors are, serial number unique and the car needs to know what serial number is at what location.
Anyway, for a do-it-yourself guy to rotate the tires and have the alarms come from the correct location??

Lexus LS 2007+ :: Benefit Of Rotating Passenger Tires With Spare Tire
According to the manual the driver's side tires get rotated with each other so the two tires always stay on that side. The passenger tires get rotated with the spare tire. So those 3 get rotated with each other. I fail to see the benefit of this other than making the tires on the passenger side last longer.
But I would always replace all the tires at the same time so don't see any benefit. When the driver's side needs tires I would replace the passenger side also. And the drawback is I will need to buy 5 tires instead of 4 when it is time to replace them. I am thinking don't allow the spare to be in the rotation tire service.
Prius (Gen 2) :: Schedule For Changing Of Cabin And Engine Filters - Rotating Tires
I own a 2008 Prius and I have been taking it to the dealer for service because it seems like non-Toyota shops don't know how to economically service the Prius.I'm seeing that the dealer I go to also seems to want to change the filters and rotate the tires at every service and this really increases the cost well above a normal oil change price.
How often have people really been changing the engine filter; cabin filter; and rotating tires? How often is this really necessary? I'm at 108000 miles now.
Camry :: 2011 - Rotating Noise From Front Wheel
I have a 2011 Camry and I have noticed that there is always a rotating sound coming from the front wheels. The frequency increase as I speed up and decreases as I speed down. I don't think it is the bearing since it always comes, not while turning or changing lanes.
I have attached a video. You can listen to it. The noise starts at 00:27 mark. It is very noticeable around the 1:10 mark. Sounds like something is rubbing against the wheel. Not sure what can cause this sound.

Ford 7.3L Power Stroke (1999-2003) :: Manual Locking Hubs Advantage Over OEM?
As my truck stands it has OEM automatic locking hubs with a selector for auto or lock. So, why would some one buy manual locking hubs and cap off the ESOF vacuum line when the OEM ones perform the same function by being auto or locked?
I hope this makes sense because if I felt I wanted to go to manual style locking hubs, I think I could simply cap off the vacuum line and then switch the hub to lock if I wanted 4x4 because the electric switch inside the truck is actually what engages the transfer case and puts the truck into 4x4.
Is this thinking/theory correct or am I missing something here?
Camry :: Difference Between 205/45/17 And 205/50/17 Tires?
i am going to get rims and have never bought tires before for rims.
when i googled images it looks like the 205/50 look thicker than the 205/45. but i couldn't find a good comparison.
the 205/50 is the right size for my 2003 camry, but i want a low profile look. can you see a difference between 205/45 and 205/50?
also does it matter if i get 205 or 215?
Camry :: How To Rotate Tires
So i need to rotate my tires and i want to know if there a special way to rotate them and if i need to reset the TPM system so the computer know where each tire is? Usually I just switch back to front or, move the driver rear to the front, driver front to passenger rear, passenger rear to front and pass. front to driver rear.

I just notice that two of my tires, all of them Michelin Energy™ Saver A/S tires, seems to be worn out after 10K mile usage. However, when I look these tires at the Michelin web site, it states that these tires have a 64K mile warranty. Also if I decided that two of my tires, all Michelin Energy™ Saver A/S tires, need replacement, could I just replace the two worn out tires or all 4 tires?
View 14 RepliesCamry :: 2011 LE / Mileage Decreased After New Tires?
I have a 2011 Camry LE with about 13,000 miles on it. I just replaced my tires with Bridgestone Turanza EL400 225/65/16 and now my mileage have drastically decreased, I used to get about 400 miles per tank driving strictly city, but now I'm lucky if I can actually reach 300 miles driving under the same condition (non aggressive city driving). Does increasing the width of the tires actually make this big of a difference in mileage?

Since I'm about to pick up my new (to me) 2012 Camry XLE V6, I noticed some colored dots on the tires and wondered what it means. I'm sure glad I Googled it, because it's good information when time comes to buy and mount new tires. It has to do with ensuring optimal balance of tire to wheel. . [URL]...............

I'm experiencing less torque and acceleration than I was getting when I first got the car. The car doesn't even have 1,000 miles on it yet. I'm wondering what is wrong with it. When I first got it, just pressing the gas half way would makes the tires spin till 6k rpm. Now the tires don't even spin while pressing it even further than 50% throttle. When I first got it, it had regular gas. Now I use 93 octane fuel. This should give it more power? I'm very confused as to why it was give so much and then now output so little.
My vehicle uses the Bridgestone Turanza tires.
This car has virtually every feature possible. BSM, Back Up Cam, LED DRL, leather, etc.
I've always owned Camry's. 1993, 2010, and now my 2013.
Camry :: Thud Sound When Rear Tires Run Over A Bump
I am getting a thud sound when the rear tires run over a bump no matter big or small. I removed the tire jack and it is still there. Could the sound be coming the rear struts or maybe the sway bar bushings? It seems to have gotten worse the last several months.

I just purchased a 2014.5 Camry and winter is around the corner. I was going to buy a set of oem 17in SE rims and put snow tires on with out the tpms sensors. The question I have to ask is once the light comes on can you disable the traction control. Reason I ask is because on my 2011 accord it forces the traction control on and is sucks. View 5 RepliesToyota - Camry :: 2003 - Tires Seem To Skid When Hit The Brakes Hard
I drive a 2003 Toyota Camry. For the last six months or so I feel a skid on one of my tires when I hit the brakes a little harder than usual. It seems the problem occurs after the car has been driving for a while. I took the car by my repair shop the last 4 or 5 times it happened and they assure me that the treads of the tires and the brake padding are fine and cant explain what it is I am seeing. They think everything is fine.
the symptoms are that I drive for a bit and then when I hit the brakes the car seems to skid a little before coming to a full stop. Its kind of what happens when you drive a car with balding tyres.
This is driving me crazy. The car has only had about 70 miles on it and I have had to rebuild the engine one time so I am reluctant to get rid of it too soon. I know there is a problem but for the life of me I cant figure out what it is,
