Lexus RX 2010-15 :: Skid Control Light Coming On Occasionally
I just bought this 2010 RX350. The skid control light has been coming on occasionally. I first noticed it when I was stopped (in gear) and I reached around to the back seat, I put pressure on the brake pedal while reaching around. There was a beep and the light came on. Then the other day while stopped at a red light I pushed on the pedal inadvertently and that skid control light popped on. I then noticed if I put pressure on the brake pedal while the car is stopped and in gear this light comes on. When I take my foot off the brake to proceed on down the road you can feel a deliberate pause as something is kicking back into gear and then the light goes off and the car is fine. Is this something going bad?

I recently bought a 2007 toyota Camry le v6 with less than 38,000 miles it currently has 39,300 miles and my check engine light is on along with the VSC and a skid control light (car with squiggle lines behind it) we have a had lots of rain here where I live and I had to drive through a couple deep water puddles. I looked up online and it said The engine light may turn on if the VSC and skid control lights are on. Could this be that the sensors maybe got wet? I don't think anything should be wrong with this car considering it's a toyota with less than 40k miles

My teenage son bought a 2004 Solara. While cleaning it out, he pulled the ebake handle, which was badly rusted and got stuck in the locked position. He took apart the wheel, stripped some bolts, and had to take the calipers to a local shop to have the bolts removed. While there, he asked the shop if he could just cut the ebrake cables and remove the inner shoe assemblies. They said yes since it is a separate system from the disc brakes. So he removed the shoes and cut the cables to both rear wheels. But after replacing the calipers, and bleeding them, the brake pedal goes all the way to the floor. I came over and bled them myself, but the pedal still goes to the floor. I don't see how, but is it possible the ebrake system is interconnected to the regular brakes and causing this problem? What could be causing this? He said it was working perfectly fine before he had the ebrake issue.

I have a 2010 V6 Camry SE with only 80,000 original miles. This morning (3am) on High ran low on fuel. I was about 25 miles from a gas station running at ~75mph when low fuel light came on.
About 5 miles from the station I felt a barely perceptible, split second hesitation (like a miss) and then things continued to run fine. The Check Engine and Traction control lights lit a minute or so later.
I was able to make to gas station but had to be on fumes the last 5 miles.I gassed up and resumed trip - 200 more miles. Both lights stayed lit. Stopped twice more. Light stayed on.
Pulled into town this morning and went to Autozone. They scanned car and pulled P0015 camshaft code. To my knowledge the guy DID NOT reset code.
I got into car to drive away and CEL was out. Have start stopped twice more and drive ~50 more miles with no CEL. Is it likely this was caused by running low on fuel?
Camry 2012+ :: Rear Wheels Chatter / Skid When Going Around Corners
I just bought it a month ago & after driving it for longer than a test drive, have noticed the rear wheels chatter & skid a bit when going around corners. It also leans heavily when cornering. I bought it used, with 25,000 miles on it. This is my 3rd Camry & I've loved them all. I never had any problems with their handling until the struts wore out around 100,000+ miles. Replacement struts fixed those. I do not drive it like it's a race car, the loss of traction, followed by fishtailing has happened below the speed limit & sometimes as low as 20 mph. I drive it on the same roads as my other 2 Camrys.

I drive a 2003 Toyota Camry. For the last six months or so I feel a skid on one of my tires when I hit the brakes a little harder than usual. It seems the problem occurs after the car has been driving for a while. I took the car by my repair shop the last 4 or 5 times it happened and they assure me that the treads of the tires and the brake padding are fine and cant explain what it is I am seeing. They think everything is fine.
the symptoms are that I drive for a bit and then when I hit the brakes the car seems to skid a little before coming to a full stop. Its kind of what happens when you drive a car with balding tyres.
This is driving me crazy. The car has only had about 70 miles on it and I have had to rebuild the engine one time so I am reluctant to get rid of it too soon. I know there is a problem but for the life of me I cant figure out what it is,
Camry :: 2011 - Vehicle Slip Indicator Light Came On Along With Check Engine Light
My 2011 Camry LE 4-cyl has 48k miles. Today I was driving on the highway during very heavy rain. My vehicle slip indicator light came on, along with my check engine light. I stopped at Advanced Auto for a diagnostic check. They said they couldn't be sure if it was a sensor, or maybe a wiring issue.

I am having a problem with my MK4 Jetta. The problem is that the light that says "Brake" on the dash is on and it is very dimly lit when the ebrake is down/ disengaged. But when I pull it up, it is lit up as much as it should. Also most of the time it will get even more dim if you tap the brake pedal or the clutch. My Jetta is scheduled to go get inspected in a few days and I need to fix this or it wont pass. I was coming home from work today and I got a little screwed over. So I got stuck about 10 times in 2 feet of snow and my tires looked like they burned out they smell horrible but I have a bigger problem. The brake light when on the e-brake and stayed on what does that mean?? is it a leak? Then the ABS light when on probably because of no traction but is it a major problem?

E brakes were sticking so I took off wheels, rotors, calipers, and cleaned the E Brake caliper and lubed it. Started driving and E brakes are still sticking? What gives? Could the cable be hung up? Wonder if I should replace the E brake cables.

2007 Prius ... When I hit about 45 mph the skid detector light goes on, the car beeps like crazy, and the accelerator will not work until speed has been reduced to about 25mph. This is on dry road, definitely NOT under skid conditions.
History: Front driver's side rim and tie rod were damaged. New tie rod was installed and I drove it on the spare tire just fine. The Tire pressure monitoring system light was on, but no skid warnings. I bought a replacement rim, had a used tire put on to match the tread of the current tires. I then took the car to get an alignment. After that I experienced the skid control problem.
I told the alignment shop about the problem and they indicated that the TPMS and skid sensor alarms may be connected, and that the 1 replacement tire may be causing the problem. I went home, rotated that tire to the back, and did a test run. 10 miles, 60 mph, no problems. Next morning I'm heading to work and the skid problem comes back, and I'm stuck doing 25 on the highway.
Golf IV / Jetta IV :: EBrake Light Staying On Constantly / Loss Of Power
Where to begin, I've checked things i thought could be the issue but aren't. I am having a constant e-brake light on which as you know emits the loud and annoying beep sound. What I've checked and done:
I checked the brake fluid, its fully topped off. I also removed the ebrake switch (the thing under it that when depressed pushes the button and turns the light off) and just crossed the wires to complete the circuit (this does the same as the button essentially) before buying a new one to see if that was the issue, which is doesn't seem to be. I had my buddy run vagcom which turned up no codes that SHOULD make this issue occur. I even popped in a new brake light switch which didn't work.
At the same time of this happening my car is making ZERO boost at all. Is it a coincidence? I don't know... it's just weird they would both happen at the same exact time. Again, no codes are showing up. Checked lines and didn't see any potential boost leaks. What to do.
Hyundai - Accent :: 2004 - Ebrake Doesn't Have Any Tension / Brake Light Not Coming On?
I have a 2004 Hyundai Accent, stick shift. I replaced the rear brake shoes and the wheel cylinder on the driver's side and bled it after, and now my e-brake doesn't have any tension in the handle and the brake light doesn't come on when you pull it up. The brake does set enough, when you pull the handle up, to stop the car from moving, but I think on a steep incline it would probably roll. How to fix it?

OK, this is the second time I noticed this. I'm at a stop light, looking around, suddenly, I notice I am slightly moving forward. Is my foot (on the brake) just too relaxed, or what? I have never experienced this before in any vehicle.

Three days ago while stopped at a light the car creeped forward forcing me to press harder on the brake to keep vehicle from moving.
Next day drove for 100+ miles with some stop and go traffic no problems. Third day drove 50 miles and upon arriving at home brakes felt spongy and nearly hit the floor the dash illuminated "Check Brake System".
My Camry has 5437 miles on it.
The dealer just called and said they need to replace a "brake booster". They said there is a TSB that addresses this issue in a VIN range.

I'm glad I was only stopping to pull into my drive way and not the freaking stop and go freeway traffic on the way to work in the morning.
Toyota - Tacoma :: 1999 - After Installation Of Skid Plate Shut Itself Off - Only Door Light Unaffected?
I installed a new engine in my pre runner. upon completion and a thorough check of fluids connections and such we lite it off ran beautiful and everything seemed to function.Put the hood back on and installed the skid plates and got ready to pull it out of the garage that's when things went pear shaped!!!My son fired it up it ran for a few seconds then shut its self off. the idiot lights would stay on even after you turn off the key and remove it.
Put the key back in turn it to run but not to start position and that will reset everything. the only thing un effected is the door lights. if the key is in it you can step on the brake and the ac clutch comes in and everything goes goofy. turn the key off then back on and try any function be it headlights ac brakes pedal or attempting to start and it goes all goofy. Where to start looking. Ran great for an hour before all of this started.

Coming back from a trip I got a e-brake light show up on the dash then noticed the signals stopped working and the heated seats no longer turn on. I scanned it with my AE and got a brake fluid sensor error come up but nothing about the signals .... is this a common problem or is there a connection between all this? 2003 F350 6.0L .....
