View 2 RepliesCamry 2012+ :: Changing Center Console 12v Charging Port To Hot
I would like to make one or both of the 12v charging ports in the center console supplied by constant power, instead of accessory fed.
I haven't torn too deep into this car yet, so is there an easier way to do this besides running a lead from the battery? An empty spot in the fuse block perhaps?
Camry 2012+ :: 2013 SE - Center Console - Gap Between Leather And Compartment?
To those who owns a 2013 Camry SE, when you're looking at the center console and below the A/C unit, there's a compartment with leather trimming around it, do you have a "gap" between the leather and the compartment?
View 10 RepliesCamry 2012+ :: Center Console Moving When Apply Pressure To It
I just noticed yesterday that the center console is moving a bit when I apply pressure to it. Seems like a screw or something is loose. Luckily there is no vibrating while driving yet, so it's livable for now but I would like to fix it.
Here's a video showing the movement when I lightly push on the piece:
It's even worse when I put my entire weight on it, like when reaching for something on the passenger side floor. I don't want to rip the entire thing out one day
Camry 2012+ :: Center Console Button Backlight Not Working
As some of you may be aware, I swapped out my OEM HU recently for an aftermarket one -- I show it in post 486 here -- and for various reasons, I decided to go back to stock. I got a pair of 70-1761 & 71-1761 wiring harnesses (because I have a 4-channel aftermarket amplifier) and in a lapse of judgement I tapped the dimming wire into the illumination wire.
Later that night, I noticed when driving with my headlights or parking lights on, the center console buttons don't light up. Specifically, the radio, home & other buttons don't light up and all & the climate control dial knobs are very dim. The ventilation buttons buttons of the HVAC all light up fine & my hazard & passenger seat belt light up fine.
I already check the instrument cluster dash light control & I notice the dial knobs react to it but are still very dim. The brightness of the instrument cluster doesn't match their brightness at all.
I went ahead an looked at my fuse box under the steering wheel column and checked the 10 amp PANEL fuse & it's not blown. For good measure, I swapped it out but the buttons still don't light up. I then checked EVERY fuse under the steering wheel column & non are blown.
In addition to that, I checked every 10 amp fuse in the engine bay fuse box & non of them are blown.
Camry 2012+ :: Center Console Removal - Adding Accent Lighting To Car
I have a camry se and I am currently adding accent lighting to my car. I am trying to take the area around the shifter and the cupholders out so I can hide some wires and mount the led lights controller. How to get this out?
View 4 RepliesMini - Cooper :: 2002 - Buzz Sound Near Center Console / Trip Odometer And LED Clock Reset
I have a 2002 Mini Cooper I bought a year and a half ago. The last couple of months when I shut my car off I sometimes hear a buzz sound near the center console and my trip odometer resets to zero, and my LED clock resets to 12 Midnight. Sometimes it happens when you open the door after turning the car off. In the Mini's there is a feature that the windows automatically lower a 1/4 inch when you open the doors, allowing air to escape when you shut the door after exiting. When this happens, sometimes that triggers the "buzz" sound and the reset thing happens. This doesn't seem to effect anything else, its just bothersome because I keep track of my miles with the trip odemeter, and I have to keep correcting the clock. Oh Yeah! one more thing that happens, when i am using the Air Conditioner and slow down after full speed, there is what I would describe as a power surge. All the dash lights go off for a split second then come back on.
View 1 RepliesCamry 2012+ :: 2014 LE - Hiss Coming From All Speakers?
I just got a new 2014 camry LE. Overall it is what it is and I am very happy with it. However one thing that is got me annoyed is that there is a hiss coming from ALL speakers. Even if the radio is off the hiss is there. Basically after some experimentation, any time the head unit is completely booted up the hiss is coming from the speakers.
To make sure it is not just my car, I checked out a few more LE from the dealer and they all hiss from the speakers when the head unit is on.
Havn't had a chance to get off work to go to the dealer yet but a buddy at work tells me his older Bimmer had a similar issue. For him, it turned out to be the amp was set to max so that max volume would be achieved. For him he was able to adjust it.
Do the Camry's have a similar adjustability? I'm willing to sacrifice sound level for no hiss.

View 2 RepliesCamry 2012+ :: 2015 SE - Spinning Noise Coming From Center Of Dash
I've had my 2015 Camry SE for about a month now. During the second week, I was driving into work and noticed an electronic noise coming from the center of the dash. I can describe it as sounding like a CD continuously spinning. It continued after I parked and shut the ignition off. I opened the door, then got back in and turned the car on, and the sound stopped. I figured maybe it was cell phone interference.
This morning, it happened again on my way to work. Same exact scenario. The only similarity I can tell is that I had to use my heat/defrosters both mornings.
