Camry 2012+ :: Driving With ECO Button On / Transmission Does Not Get Smooth
I own a Camry SE 2012. Like a title above, driving with the ECO button on? I used to turn it on all the time, however, I've noticed something strange on my car recently. The transmission doesn't get smooth! I mean with the 6-speed auto transmission, it is supposed to change speed smoothly from 1 to 2, 2 to 3, respectively. It's like when I change from 1 to 2, the transmission is smooth enough, however, when I get to higher, it doesn't get smooth. I'm not sure if I turned the ECO drive off and it would get better or I just feel it so. My first thought was about the engine oil was not lubricated and out of date but I did maintained a week ago. It still happens on my car, but less than before.

Camry 2012+ :: 2014.5 LE Hesitate When Accelerating Then Jerks
I bought New Camry 2014.5 LE. Most of time, my wife drives for short commutes to train stations and work. Its been 1.5 year and it still has less than $10K miles.
I feel it hesitates when I push the accelerator all the way quickly, then jerks. The engine revs up the moment I step on the accelerator but it hesitates before it actually picks up speed. If I step on the gas gradually, its fine.
I have Rav4 (4 Cyc) which does not behave this way.
I took the dealership and asked about it. The tech says it is drive by wire system so unlike old cars, which respond very quickly, may hesitate and considered normal. Some online article says the car's software learns a driving habit so it depends on the driver too but many other postings also suggest its a software glitch.
Is it really normal, a feature of 6 speed or is there a technical service bulletin addressing this issue so that I can show to the tech? Eco mode is turned off.
Camry :: 2010 XLE V6 Jerks When Driving At All Speeds With Different Oil Usage
2010 Toyota Camry xle v6. What is more accurate, miles to empty or the needle gauge. When I use certain brands of gas I notice that the car jerks when driving at all speeds. It's just a slight jerk nothing serious. The brand is Kwik trip gas. I find the the car runs best on 93 octane bp, Mobil, shell, or Cenex.

So I've got 8400 miles on my TDI, and for quite some time now, I've been intermittently noticing the car somewhat jerky while driving. Jerky to a small extent, like the DSG can't make up it's mind as to the gear. I could be driving home at 45 or so, and I'll randomly feel a slight bump through the pedal when I'm on a flat road. I've gotten this quite a bit. Obviously I expect to feel the DSG shifting when I'm flat out gunning it, but not when I'm maintaining a speed and should hypothetically be in the same gear that entire time.
View 16 RepliesCamry 2012+ :: Transmission Fluid Drained?
Can the 2014 2.5 cyl Camry be driven safely for a short distance (under 10 miles) with some of the transmission fluid drained?I recently bought my wife a new loaded Camry XLE to replace her 2003 LE. She decided to surprise me and change her own oil to prove a point to me that she could do it. Long story short, she drained out almost a quart (I measured it) of ATF before she realized it shouldn't look red and re-plugged it.
Now I need to take it in to get it topped off, because as far as I can tell there is no dipstick or fill point for the tranny. The nearest dealership is about 9 miles of West Virginia mountain roads away. Do I need a tow or can I drive it in? It is a brand new car and I don't want to risk hurting it.. but a tow is expensive. The car has 6,000 miles on it.
Camry 2012+ :: Transmission Hesitation In Shifting On SE
I've noticed my Camry hesitating shifting lately. My initial thought was perhaps my transmission fluid was low. But after further review of some articles I don't believe that's it. I saw one mention of the computer and maybe having the transmission fluid levels adjusted?

View 14 RepliesCamry 2012+ :: Only Getting 24 - 25 MPG In Everyday Driving
We've had our 2012 Camry LE 2.5L since October. In that time period we taken two 400 mile highway trips. The best mileage we've obtained is 28 MPG (hand calculated). That's all highway driving at 65-70 MPH. Needless to say, it's very disappointing. My 13 year old V-6 Mercury Sable wagon gets just over 30 MPG on the same trip.
In everyday driving it's only getting 24-25 MPG. That's mostly suburban/rural driving with some short highway trips mixed in. The car has just less than 10K miles on it, so things should be getting pretty well broken in.
Camry 2012+ :: 2014 SE / How To Check Transmission Fluid
I just did a drain and refill method on my 2014 Camry SE last weekend. However, after measured and calculated, I took out 2qts 1.5oz, but I only pumped in 1.95 qts. So, now the fuild is about 2oz off. Later, I took about 100 miles trip, car shifted fine.
I planted to do a drain and refill again next week. This time, I think I will carefully measure how much fluid is out then pump in the same + 2oz.
I still not sure if that enough, my question is: Can I buy a thermal gun and then measure the temp of the transmission pan, then perform checking fluid? Should it correct?

View 8 RepliesPassat (B7) :: 2012 - Jerks A Little Bit When Stopped
I am having a problem with the vehicle. The other day I noticed that the car jerks a little bit when stopped. I was sitting at a red light and had my foot on the brake. While the brake was applied, I let go of the brake but not enough for the car to roll and then reapplied the brake fully. I did this because I though I got the green light and when I realized it was still red, I reapplied the brake. As soon as the brake went all the way I felt a small jerk on the brake pedal.
I immediately noticed it and thought it was weird. It almost felt like I quickly let go of the brake pedal and quickly applied the brake again. I did it again soon after and felt it again, then again, and then again. I made an appointment at the dealer where the vehicle was bought from to have it looked at. I hope they don't think I am nuts only because you have to do it a certain way in order for it to occur (push the pedal all the way, release the brake the slightest amount, apply the brake and then feel the jerk in the pedal). It definitely doesn't seem normal.
Camry 2012+ :: Coasting To A Stop And Speed Gets To About 27 MPH - Transmission Downshifts
I've noticed that when I'm coasting to a stop and my speed gets to about 27 MPH, the transmission downshifts (RPMs increase) until I reach about 22 MPH. I'm not applying the brakes at the time.
It's a bit annoying as it sometimes bleeds off just enough speed that I need to accelerate to reach the point I was planning to stop at. Is this normal?
