Camry 2012+ :: How Necessary Is 30,000 Mile Maintenance For Toyota Car
Obviously I'll have the oil changed, but Toyota recommends all this other stuff at 30k and my local dealer wants about 250$ for it. It looks like the same stuff they do with my regular oil changes but now want 250$ to do it. Seems like somewhat of a rip off.

Set up the free oil change for next week (10,600 on the odometer) and was wondering if this is an automatic light just based on mileage. Prior owner got a free 5,000 mile oil change and selling dealer changed the oil at 5,800 when we bought it.
But I guess if there's a reset somewhere that neither prior dealer took the time to do the car thinks it's time for it's first change. This is a 2014.5 SE Sport put in service July of 2014.
Camry 2012+ :: Maintenance Required Light Blinking At Start Up
Maintenance Required Light just started blinking at start up... Blinks 8 times then stops. Looked up in manual. Will start blinking at start up at 4500 miles and then stay on after 5000 miles. Guess it's time to schedule the 1st trip to the service department.
Not much on the 5K check
- Fluid Levels
- check brakes
- Rotate tires
- etc

So for the past week or so when I start my car the maintenance light would come on, flash a few times then go off. Now it's on constantly. What's this mean? My maintenance light started flashing @ the 4500 mile mark so I checked the oil and was half a qt low. I was a bit surprised. I was not at any type of incline and I drive pretty light. Def don't drive hard. Normal or no?

The maintenance required light just started flashing on our Camry last night.
It just went to the dealer at 4,200 mi for an "early" oil change (I had wanted an early oil change done, and the the dealer said it wasn't required til 10,000 miles). So no new oil.
It's about 7 months old, and mostly driven on short trips - our other car is used for the long trips. Tires were rotated @ last service.
Does it actually want an oil change? I'd take it to the dealer, but their next appointment is 2 weeks out.
Prius V :: 2012 - Maintenance Light Won't Go Off
When I took my 2012 Prius 2 in to have the tires rotated, the dealership could not get the maintenance light to go out. This happened once before, and it was a quick fix, but the service person that figured it out no longer works there. They tell me they followed the required procedure that works all the time. My car seems to have a different issue.

Bought my Camry with 45k miles on it and just got the maint req'd light at about 50k. I picked up oil and a filter but it looks different than any filter I've ever changed. It has no canister and comes with a plastic nozzle looking thing and 2 O-rings.

2011 Camry LE .... My car has some 85,000 miles and generally runs very good. Recently the maintenance light flashes. The flashing does not occur when the car is started but some times 30 sec later.
If it were the standard "change your oil" reminder, it would come on and stay on--I'm very familiar with that.
This situation it comes on after the car is running (even driving) and flashes for 5-10 times and disappears.

I have an 09 Camry LE with about 59k miles on it and I just noticed today that When I turn my car on the maintenance required light blinks. But as soon as I put the car in drive it goes away, and does not return when I put it in park again.
I know all of your dash lights should come on at start up to show you that they work. But they all go off and that one remains flashing. I never looked at it before to know whether or not it's always been that way. Also when I first turn on my car, it idles at about 1.5k-2k rpm's. But if I keep my foot on the break and put it in drive then park again it sits at 1k or below. Is this normal? If not what should I be checking out?

After starting my 09 Camry, the Maintenance light flashes a good 15 times before it turns off. I just started noticing this. I understand all the lights on the dash will flash upon starting the car, a few times, but this is longer than it has done it in the past.

Ok, my final question about my 2010 Camry I bought. It is certified preowned which means everything has been inspected and maintained. So I was surprised to see my maint. req light blinking. They didn't change the oil?
However, I noticed it is only coming on and blinking when I have the key turned to power on, but not when the engine is cranked. Is this just a normal light display? I'm definitely calling the dealer if the oil needs changed already.
Camry :: 2005 - Maintenance Required Light Takes A Long Time To Go Off
On our 2005 Toyota Camry, we have recently noticed that the maintenance-required light takes a long time to go off when the ignition is cycled. This is true whether the engine is started immediately or the key is simply left in the ON position until proveout is completed.
The car is up to date on all services and we see no other signs of an impending problem. At the moment we do not have the ability to retrieve OBD-II diagnostic codes. What could be going on?
Prius Plug-in 2012-15 :: Lower Mpg After 20,000 Mile Service / Oil Change
Just had my 20,000 mile service yesterday on my Prius Plug In and got 10-15mpg loss in gas mileage today. It seems like ECO mode isn't even working anymore because MPG just drops to 15 MPG when you accelerate pass the half way point.
I'll take it back to dealership tomorrow? It should have only been a oil change and oil filter change. Reading some old threads makes me thing they put in the wrong oil?? It says 0W20 on service contract but not sure if correct.

2002 Camry XLE. 134,000 miles. 1MX-FE 6cyl.
The timing belt was replaced by the Toyota Dealer in Sept 2011 at 101000 miles.
Yesterday after leaving home the engine just died about 1/2 mile from home. No warning, just died.
I tried to start it, the engine will turn over but won't start. It spins freely but doesn't sound like there is any compression.
The coolant reservoir was empty. I checked the fluids a week or so ago and it was full.
So:
1. Does this sound like a timing belt failure?
2. Is it possible that the water pump went out and trashed the timing belt?
3. Or, could the timing belt just be bad?
4. I've read that this engine is a non-inteferrence engine, is that true?
