Camry 2012+ :: Buzzing Sound When Hit The Brakes And Push Button To Start

While working on diagnosing my center console issue last night, my engine refused to start & I am completely lost as to what the issue is.

I hear a buzzing sound when I hit the brakes and push the button to start.

But all my headlights lights & interior electronics work fine.

I am so irritated as this happens on the SATURDAY evening and everywhere is closed on Sunday; hence I can't get the car serviced.

This is a brand new car w/ less than 2600 miles on it.

Civic - Honda :: Grinding Noise When Push Down On The Brakes

I am guessing my brake pads are going but figured I'd check with the forum first. What does it mean when you press down and about 3/4 of the way you start hearing this grinding noise almost like two pieces of iron are grinding across eachother?

Camry :: Grinding Noise From Rear If Push The Car A Little Bit When Parked

I have a 2007 Camry I4 AT. I searched and most mention noise coming from brake, etc. I don't see noise being mentioned when car is parked.

With my Camry in P, if I push the car a little bit, even just getting in or out of the car, I can hear a metal grinding noise coming from the rear of my car. The brakes looks okay. If I engage the foot brake, the noise reduces but does not go away. The noise seems to come from the bottom rear.

Corolla / Matrix 2009-13 :: Front Brakes Click / Clunk Noise When In Reverse?

I have a 2009 Corolla S and the symptoms are as follows:

1. Normal forward driving, brakes work fine (and as expected without sound).
2. In reverse, when I apply the brakes I hear a click (clunk) sound from the front brakes. It only makes the sound when I'm going from moving to stopping (IE: I cant just keep pressing the brake once stopped to generate the noise). But if I let myself continue in reverse and press pedal again, it will make the same sound (very repeatable). I don't need to go forward to replicate the sound, I can just stay in reverse, stop (CLICK), continue in reverse, stop (CLICK), etc.
3. The it's noticable in the pedal. I can feel it on the brake with my foot when the noise happens.
4. It happens when I depress the brake pedal about 1/4 down, a gentle stop. And usually happens every time when I back out of my driveway or parking spot.
5. GF's sister's 2009 corolla CE does NOT make this noise in reverse.

6. 20,000 miles, Orig tires/brakes, didn't happen 4ish months ago.

I plan on putting winter tires on next month. Perhaps I'll take a look at the pads to make sure they aren't moving around, but wouldn't I also hear the noise in forward motion? Or when I switch from forward to reverse?

Elantra MD (2010-15) :: Click Sound Every Time When Push The Clutch Pedal Down?

Just noticed a clicking noise every time I push the clutch pedal down, I had my wife push the pedal while I listened under the hood and no noise it's coming from the clutch assembly under the dash! It's a 2013 only 4000km's on it so it's not like anything should be worn from over use etc. It's when I had the radio off driving I heard it, not super loud but more curiosity if it's normal noise from a clutch assembly.

As well the odd time I hear well my wife heard and pointed it out to me, when I push the brake pedal (more when we get in the car in the morning after sitting overnight) the same kinda sound more like when brake pad's are gently popping loose I guess you could say!? Like I said its mainly only after sitting for awhile, but we did hear it the odd time just as I go to slow down and only a quick 'click' again not deadly or anything more annoying that the car is brand new and we went brand new cause we were tired of creepy older cars we'd previously driven! I'm wondering if that may be exactly why its doing it since its new and need's to be used a bit to loosen up, this is the actually the first brand new no previous drivers car I've had!

Santa Fe (CM - 2007-12) :: Loud Click Noise Coming From Front End Of Vehicle When Apply Brakes

I get this loud click noise coming from the front end of my vehicle when I apply the brakes. It seems to happen much more often than not, especially at low speeds. I can only describe it as some sort of loud clicky clanky sound, it's also a single sound, it doesn't go on and on and it only happens when I apply the brakes.

Camry :: 2004 V6 Not Starting When Hot / No Click Noise

2004 Camry V6 3.0L with 136k miles.

History: The original starter was replaced with an OEM Toyota starter about at 60k miles.

Current Situation: When I try to restart the engine (after just a few minutes after turning the engine off) it won't start and I get no starter solenoid click noise at all. (The battery is strong and fresh.) Multiple tries of turning the ignition switch results in no solenoid click noise and no starter engaging the flywheel or engine cranking. However, after the car sits for 15-30 minutes it can be started right up without any hint there was ever a problem.

When I touch my fingertips to the Starter Relay in the engine bay fuse box and have someone try to start the engine (when it does nothing - e.g. no start) I can feel and faintly hear the relay's contacts making/breaking (closing/opening), so I think it's safe to say the relay is good.

I think I recall that the original starter/solenoid just stopped working all-together and didn't do this intermittent act.

Starter/solenoid not work at all (not even a click noise) when the engine is hot, but it does eventually work perfectly after it cools off a bit? I've never had one act like that before, that I recall. I can only guess that maybe the starter's solenoid is failing and needs to be replaced. Yes? No?

Accord :: 1998 - Have To Push Brakes Really Hard To Get To Stop

I have a 98 Accord with rear disc brakes and ABS. The rotors on the rear brakes are rusted like the pads are not grabbing at all and when you push on the brakes you have to push really hard to get it to stop. I did tests for the booster to see if it is working and it seems to be. Right now I'm thinking it may be the proportioning valve.

Ford Excursion :: Brakes Hard To Push To Stop?

Ok, my brakes have felt the same since I got the truck. I push a little harder than I should have to (not a hard pedal, but further to the floor than normal to where it's harder to push) get the truck to stop. If I want to brake check someone that's riding my bumper I have to REALLY smash the pedal and even then it doesn't grab hard or lock up. Since I have owned the truck I have put all new pads, rotors, and calipers on, Russel braided lines front and rear (all 3 on the rear), and flushed ALL of the old fluid from the truck (Twitch and I went through 2 large bottles when we did the brakes).

[URL]...

After all of this there has been no change in my brakes at all. Not one bit. What's odd is sometimes after it rains when I first get in the truck the first time I stop I get massive awesome brakes, but just the once. I never have a spongy pedal, and I never lose pressure, I just have brakes.

Golf IV / Jetta IV :: If Push The Pedal Fast, It Brakes Harder

I just changed all my flex lines to stainless steel and my pads and rotors were replaced. I had some issues with calipers dragging. I used a power bleeder to bleed the brakes all the way around. Now my pedal feels really weird. If I push the pedal fast it brakes hard then it goes to the floor. If i just push it soft, it will just slowly go to the floor without braking at all.

Toyota - Sienna :: 2005 LE - Steering Vibrates When Push The Brakes

I have a Toyota Sienna 2005 LE minivan , when I push the brakes my steering vibrates. I checked the tire balancing at the tire store just to double check no issues with balancing he verified all looked fine on tires he mentioned it is possible the front brake rotor causing it. He said I may have to replace the rotor itself since there may not be enough room for resurfacing the rotor. My question is

is it true I cannot resurface the rotors? if I have to buy new ones is it advisable if I buy it from "Autozone or OReilly " store or does it have to be the original from Toyota ? Toyota's pricing are 4 times more than from these stores. I know safety is important so let me know which option is better.

Pontiac :: 2005 - Brakes Sound Like There Is Air Leak When Push The Pedal

I recently had my rotors replaced and when I left the garage I noticed I had to press the brake farther than normal. A few days later, I have to press the brake pedal almost all the way to the floor. My brakes sound like there is an air leak when I push the pedal. Sometimes it stutters at the top of the push.

First question is what could it be? The second question is, could this have been caused by the rotor replacement? Seems awfully coincidental.

Toyota - Tundra :: 2003 - Brakes Taking More Push To Engage

I have a 2003 Toyota Tundra with about 57,000 miles and noticed that it takes more "push" to get the brakes to engage. (The brake pedal has to travel further towards the floor) There is no squealing or any other sounds and the brake fluid tank is almost full, I have not added any brake fluid or had any brake work done since I bought the truck in the fall of 2008. I am wondering what the problem could be and the possible cost involved to get it fixed. Brake Pads Wearing? Air Bubble? I'm not sure. This has been ongoing for about 3 weeks, but it doesn't seem to be getting any worse.

Honda - Cr-v :: 2011 - Clunking Noise In Front Brakes

I have a 2011CRV 2 wheel drive that is making a clunking noise in the front brakes every time I take my foot off of the pedal. I took it to the dealer twice and both times they told me that there is nothing they can do about it. They said it has to do with the way the pads wear but said that even when I change them the clunk probably won't go away. I have never heard a car do this.
