Camry :: 2003 - Stutter / Kick When Gear Engaging In Reverse

When I reverse (and wait 3 seconds just to ensure the gears are engaged), on occasion I feel a stutter/kick.

To offset it, I will tap the pedal when reversing so its not continuous. What this could be?

Golf IV / Jetta IV :: AC Compressor Clutch Turn On But Does Not Kick Off

I have an issue with my 2003 golf 2.0 ac I've done everything that I cloud thing of to check but I still have this issue so here it is. Camry :: 2000 Vehicle Overheating - Radiator Fans Kick In And Then Temperature Goes Down

My Camry seems to be overheating. When I'm driving the gauge maintains and reads 6/10, when the engine is idling, it goes upto 8/10, radiator fans kick in and then temperature goes down to 6/10 and keeps cycling over a period of 5 mins.

It's got 100K miles, water pump has not been replaced yet.

I checked the hose temperature; top hose 210 F, bottom hose 192, fans kick in when top hose is around 215 F.

I checked the engine temperature where the sender is installed and it was reading 205 F. Coolant level is OK. I burped the system. Previous owner told me, he had thermostat replaced by dealer.

Passat (B5) :: 2003 1.8t Wagon - RPMs Kick Up On Cold Start

I recently acquired a 1.8t auto Wagon from a friend who passed away, I dont wanna sell it, so I figured why not keep it. So here's my question. On cold starts the RPM's kick up above 1K and then drop to the proper idle speed. The engine purrs nicely, but I have noticed that it sounds beefy inside the cabin during warm up. I can feel the light vibrations on the steering wheel. After I start driving the car warms up and everything seems normal. It just sounds like a fan or blower motor has come on with the engine. No ticking or anything like that. Is this normal?

Ford 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel :: 2003 - Cooling Fan Does Not Kick On

I have a 2003 6.0 Exc. I have installed an external "Bullet Proof" oil cooler, and essentially all of the "bullet proofing" accessories with the exception of head studs. I also have installed a Mishimoto oil cooler, as the OEM cooler had a crack in the upper tank, My particular problem is that the cooling fan does not kick on (audibly) until about 230 deg or so. It quickly cools to about 215, and the fan kicks off (audibly). On the long uphills here in AZ, it will repeat this process, sometimes getting as high as 240deg.

(As monitored by my EDGE tuner) I have utilized the blue-wire-to-ground trick noted elsewhere, manually turning the fan on myself, and that works great. What I'm asking, is what sensor sends coolant temp to the ECU, ( and where is it located in the cooling system) which in turn determines how much to turn the cooling fan on? What typical level the sensor sends to the ECU to control the fan? I would like to put together a circuit that "fools" the ECU into turning the fan full "on" at about 210 deg, and stays on until the coolant temp reaches 195 or so. I would like to check that sensor first, and make sure it is working correctly before I try to band aid a fix.

Subaru - Legacy :: 2003 - Replaced Clutch Now Reverse Light Going Out - Clutch Not Smooth?

I had the car worked on a while back. They replaced the clutch and the viscous coupling in the transmission. ('03 Subaru Legacy manual transmission) Things seemed fine, then I realized my reverse light was acting like it was going out. Fuses are fine. A while later the car decided the clutch didn't need to respond as smoothly. Then: "Nope, you're funny to think you can drive me. I'm not budging." The car started grinding gears. I have to slam it into gear for it to work so I can drive it home and let it sit. The car will go into gear when off, no problem. New fluid has been put in. Bled. Then some sort of SUPER LUBE was put in and it still grinds. What might be happening? I really don't have the fundage in order to buy a new car at this time. But at the same time I hate feeling like I'm chasing a rabbit down a hole..

Camry :: New Clutch / 5th Gear - Low Rpm Noise When Accelerating

Ive owned my 2003 camry since august and the clutch has always chattered in first gear which made the car shake like crazy. Last weekend i had the clutch replaced and all was well (no clutch chatter) until i noticed something last night driving home.

In fifth gear around 2000rpms the car barely accelerates if you press the gas pedal and you can hear something spinning up under the motor(like a bearing). The clutch isnt slipping because the rpm's dont shoot up.

I am about 100 miles into my 500 mile break in but this just seems wrong.

Santa FE SM (2001-06) :: ABS Would Kick On For No Reason

I have a 2003 Sante Fe, 245,000 miles mostly problem free... been a good vehicle! About 3 months ago the ABS would kick on for no reason, tracked it down to a broken ABS ring. Disconnected the ABS by pulling the fuse until I could save up for the new axles. Two weeks ago as I was pulling into my driveway there was aloud bang and the pedal went to the floor. Come to find out the passengers side brake pad broke and the metal backer actually came out of the car. Luckily, I was home when this happened. Traced this back to a sticking passenger caliper, not the piston but the pins, pulled out and cleaned and lubricated the pins, installed new brakes and the new axles with ABS rings (not happy to toss out good axles for the ring.

Anyway, brakes were great for 3 or 4 weeks then out of the blue the brake light came on. Brakes felt normal, fluid level full, no leaks and parking brake is disengaged.

Today my girlfriend was driving it and she said heard a weird metal sound and then the petal went to the floor, it would stop but she had to really push hard... I should also mention that the rear brake lines were replaced several months ago and nothing is leaking.

Golf IV / Jetta IV :: AC Compressor Won't Kick On At All - 1.8t

AC compressor won't kick on at all. I know the system doesn't have much refrigerant (just replaced the line that runs from the expansion valve to the bottom of the drier, the drier itself, and the condenser)..

Evacuated the entire system with a pump. Tried putting refrigerant in and the pressure on the gauge goes up immediately into the yellow/red...jumped the connector on the high pressure switch and the fans came on, shouldn't the compressor kick on too?

Checked the 14 pin connector on the fcm for 12V...PIN number 8 is barely seeing any power which leads to no power getting to the compressor...

Golf IV R32 :: Fan Only Kick In At The Higher Temp

So it is no secret that our fans go out and need to be replaced.

There are suppose to be two temperature thresholds, the first at which the fans turn on at LOW speed, then another higher threshold where the fans turn to HIGH speed.

My fans basically only kick in at the higher temp threshold and into HIGH, the cooling system is skipping over the LOW threshold and fan speed.

Would this be an issue with the fans or the controller?

Toyota - Camry :: 1986 - Clutch Pedal Is Going Directly To The Floor With No Effort

I have a 1986 Toyota Camry. I drove it for a year with no additional problems than when I bought it. I replaced the clutch when I bought it. However, It recently has had a new problem. The clutch pedal is going directly to the floor with no effort whatsoever. When this happened in the past it was simply out of clutch fluid, I was aware of the leak when I bought the car. Now it doesn't seem to be using any at all and I can only put it in gear when it is turned off.

I have replaced the clutch master cylinder myself and it didn't seem to solve the problem. I have tried to bleed the new master cylinder but no fluid is being drawn into the master cylinder from the fill cup on the top of it. I'm not even sure that this is the problem. I noticed that the place where the MC is attached to the clutch pedal is adjustable. Could this be a matter of adjusting this to drive the plunger inside the MC all the way forward? I am also having trouble understanding the whole clutch system. The MC doesn't seem to have anything to do with engaging or disengaging the clutch. The only thing it attaches to is the clutch pedal. Where does the clutch fluid go? Is there another place to fill Manual transmission fluid?

Celica :: 1990 GTS - Fans Failed To Kick On

I recently took the engine apart and got the head resurfaced after the head got warped. New thermostat, waterpump, timing belt, serpentine belt, power steering belt, and gaskets for all sorts of stuff. After reassembling the engine everything worked fine. No strange noises. Only problem i am having now is that the cooling fan switches on really late, when the needle is 3/4 of the way towards H, sometimes even a little later. Fan is working as when i disconnect the cooling fan switch(bottom of radiator) and the fan does kick on. ECT was also replaced and nothing seems to work. I did replace the switch and the fans failed to kick on, unfortunately i got it from Autozone. This is a 1990 Celica GTS with the 5SFE 2.2L
