Ford Excursion :: 2003 - Oil Filler Pipe Cracked?
2003 Limited 6.8L v10 4WD. My oil filler pipe is cracked. Been cracked for quite a few years. Only recently did the smog shop fail the visual inspection because of it. Need to have it replaced. Auto store doesn't carry it, dealer-only item. Went to dealer and it is attached to the valve cover and sold as one piece. Any other options?

I recently bought a brand new Toyota Camry LE 2014.5 and yesterday I noticed that the Fuel Filler Neck is very loose. It is so loose that I can move it using my little finger. Is this normal Or should I take it to the dealership? The car has 300 Miles on the odometer and yesterday was the first time that I filled it with gas.

I have a 2003 toyota solara se v6 I got the engine light on the other day and I noticed the gas cap was not good so I bought a new gas cap from the deal and put it on then my engine light went off. But now after 3,3 days of putting the new gas gap it's back on again what I noticed now is I'm missing the fuel filler neck flap (little metal round thing ) it's where you put the gas nozel to fill the tank and also it's showing the code PO446.

My wife's 2006 Solara SLE convertible has the infamous dash pad cracking.....on a vehicle with less than 8,000 miles. The cracking started at about 34 months in areas not visible -sides of dash concealed when the doors are closed. Subsequently, several other areas have started to crack... like others, the car sits in a garage, under cover and never in the direct hot sun. When the top is down, the car is driven from point A to point B and the top is raised. The vehicle is maintained by the book including the Toyota recommended products for maintaining interior finishes.

I have a 2005 Camry LE 4D Sedan. Last week, we had a severe winter storm down here for around 4 days. My car was covered with ice all around for around 3 days before I cleaned up the ice with a piece of plastic scraper and the built-in heater in back windshield last Wednesday. Then I used the car for two day's daily commute and weekend shopping without seen any problem.
But this Monday morning, I found out that the back windshield was totally cracked but still in shape, fully with fine cracks all over the place. It looks just like someone used a small hammer cracked the back windshield carefully and did not break it. Then I wanted to drive to a Toyota dealership in town to have them check it out and fix it. But on the way to the dealership place, the back windshield started falling down pieces by pieces. Each piece is in size of green pea.
In one Toyota dealership, I was told that this kind of damage is not covered by Toyota warrantee. And then this was confirmed by North America Toyota Customer Service Center. I do not believe that this should be the case! It definitely caused by the bad quality of the back windshield. It should be the defect during the manufacturing of this piece of windshield. I am just out of luck and got this bad quality windshield.
Toyota - Camry :: 1997 - Cracked Seam At The Top Of The Radiator Causing A Small Leak
I have 170,000 miles on this car. This is a 4 cylinder. The seam at the top of the radiator has cracked, causing a small leak. I have confirmed it is not leaking from the cap if you are curious. So it's time to replace the radiator. My question is: is the radiator easy to replace? I have worked on my car before with basic maintenance (oil, transmission, etc) I was thinking it would be straightforward to replace the radiator myself.

We have a 2005 Camry XLE, with 102,00 miles on it. It has been very well cared for, and only serviced by our Dealer. We would like to keep the vehicle for another 50,000 miles. We have had an assessment of the vehicle done by the Dealer, because our brakes were very soft.
He found a great deal of air in the lines and flushed them out. He also found:
1.) Leaks in the power steering rack, which he graded as a level 8 severity on a 10 point scale. Repair estimate is $1100 to replace and align.
2.) Both front struts are cracked and graded for severity as an 8 on a scale of 10.
What do you think:
A.) Are these safety issues ?
B.) What are the consequences of delay ?
C.) Are these problems indicative of other likely problems ?
D.) Is it better to have a Dealer perform the repairs ?

I was adding a quart of oil to my 2 liter and I noticed this white/creamy foam or buildup on the underside of the oil filler cap. I am close to an oil change point I think around 1k if not less. Car has 75-80k miles on it maintained properly and had cam follower check at 50k it was clean then. I remember hearing about why this foam happens but I forgot.

So this is a strange and unsettling problem:
I recently filled up my tank, drove about 45 miles on the highway and when I got out I noticed that gas was leaking out of the fuel filler cap. So I decided to open the cap to alleviate some of the pressure, but when I did that, a TON of gas came pouring out of it into the parking lot...
The pressure on the tank has always been kinda high in my opinion and there are times that I can smell gas when I'm driving along, but this is new. I tried looking for kinks in the lines, but there are none. I can't smell gas coming from the engine bay either.
Roll over valve? Pressure regulator? I mean there's not a whole lot to the fuel system.

Just did the fuel pump, but TRIPLE checked for kinks in the lines before reinstalling the fuel tank, and they're all pretty visible under the car anyway...

What is that? would an oil change fix that?

I was changing the engine coolant on my 2005 Prius today. When I went to fill up the tanks, I noticed a small pool of coolant right under the filler pipe. I thought I might have overfilled something, but when I jiggled the filler pipe, I heard an air leak. It looks like there is a bad seal between the filler pipe and the radiator. I also noticed that my coolant recovery tank was empty. I never noticed this before so I don't know if this issue is related.

New MY2013 SE w/Appearance Package purchased Oct. 2012. Earlier this year the fuel filler door would sometimes stick closed; progressively got worse to where it would not open. Replaced under warranty.
Now starting to stick again and I expect it to worsen. Going back in this week for a warranty replacement fuel filler door.

I have a 2010 Santa Fe V6. The transmission fluid filler cap is too close to a housing unit that a wrench or a socket won't fit around it but I also noticed another plastic cap that is connected to it and was wondering it that was for (is this where you fill in the oil? seems too small). I've attached a picture and would love to hear what you think. The filler cap is at the bottom and the plastic cap is on the top.

So I am having a huge problem getting mats that will fit. I ordered the 2012 Husky mats in gray about 2-3 weeks ago and received them a couple days later to find out the driver side mat did not fit due to the fuel filler handle cutout not being on the mat. So I contacted streetside and they offered to replace no problem. shipped them back, 1 week later get the 2nd set of mats, go to throw them in a before I even put them in I see the cutout isn't even there. Contacted streetside again and they tried to tell me they should fit. So I told them they didn't and if they can't supply me with the correct mats then I want the weathertech for the same price because I know they make these mats to fit the 2012. So I sent a picture of what I received and the picture on husky website which shows the cutout and they obviously had to replace them. The customer service manager contacted me this morning and says that Husky will be contacting me to get them replaced. Mind you the Model number on the box is the correct model number from the streetside website and the husky website for the 2012 model year. I'm extremely disappointed with this issue, how do the wrong mats come in the correct box 2 times.
