BMW (528i) :: 2000 - Tail Light Indicator Will Not Turn Off
The tail light indicator on my BMW will not turn off. I replaced all the bulbs and it did not go out. I also did an experiment and swapped all the driver side rear lights with the passenger side lights. And the indicator light did not turn off. Is there a fuse I can pull? Is there a ground short?

Last night, my 2008 Prius was hit from the rear. The bumper was damaged as well as a few starches on the hatch. However the latch for the hatch was move forward so the hatch no longer latches. Also during the collision, my daughter's heavy backpack was throw against the back of the passenger seat with enough force to hurt her back.
The airbag warning light remains on along with the dash indicator saying the airbag is off. Does mean all the airbags are disabled? Can this be reset? The car will be professionally repaired but I still need to drive it until I can get it repaired.
Golf V R32 :: No Indicator For Passenger Airbag?
I haven't posted on Vortex since I owned my GTI VR6 I bought R32 number 258 last Summer and I have been loving it. Last Friday I installed all new dash vents as the tabs for aiming them had busted off every single one. I bought a full set of vents from a Chinese vendor off Ebay along with the dark red hazard button. The setup looks a million times better, but there is no indicator for the passenger airbag, and leaving the connector unplugged seems to throw and airbags fault. Any workaround? Will the airbags still fire in the event of an accident? Does the weight detector in the passenger seat still work?

Saturn Ion 2003. Whenever I park the car and proceed to turn it off, all of the indicator needle lock into place and the entire car goes dead. Unable to use remote and when I attempt to place the key back into the cylinder to 'start' the vehicle, nothing occurs. Key is then stuck as it will not turn back past ACC. I have done tons of research and found a way to manually release the key but this doesn't resolve the lockdown. After a moment, the security light will display on the dashboard. I have tried just about everything including jumping the battery, only works until car is turned off, and making sure gear shift fully in 'park'. Have completed all recall notices from GM regarding ignition cylinder and the likes as well as a new alternator, twice. During the last jump, mechanic ran full diagnostics for battery, electrical, alternator and output.

Camry :: No Controls On Steering Wheel Work And Airbag Indicator Light Is On
Ok, I accidentally got a speaker wire wrapped around the steering wheel while I was driving. I turned the wheel and the wire broke. I was able to pull the wire out but now none of the controls work on my steering wheel and the airbag indicator light is on. I watched some vids on YouTube on steering wheel removal and I suspect I may have caused a connector to become separated. Does this sound reasonable? I am a little hesitant to start taking it apart. I don't want to do some serious damage. Does this sound like it will be an expensive repair?

Got a limited service campaign letter for right front seat sensor problem causing the AIR BAG OFF indicator to illuminate. Apparently certain conditions can turn on the Air Bag Off indicator. Question is, will the indicator turn off when the engine is turned off and restarted? Or once it is tripped it stays on whenever the ignition is on?
This car is turning into a pain, having to take it to the dealer for too many problems. Tempted to do nothing about this latest campaign, unless the light stays on.
Bmw - 528i :: 1979 - Engine Temperature Gauge Needle Is Moving All Over The Place
My car recently turned over 120,000 miles. I have owned her for 5 years. Currently, the engine temperature gauge needle is moving all over the place. It typically registers the correct temperature (I think), but sometimes it goes all the way over to the red, then peaks and falls back down to the midline.
Before this started happening, the needle would lie just below the midline when traveling on the highway and just above the midline when driving in town. Yesterday, it was lying between the 1/4 mark and the midline -- much lower than normal. Is this as simple as just replacing the temperature sensor?
My mechanic noticed a month ago that the transmission hoses are all swollen and in need of replacement. Is this related?One more thing, within the last week, the electrical system fails while driving, but just for a second. I can tell because the radio goes out. Once, it went completely dead, then came back on within 2 seconds. It made me think of the alternator, but it seems if that were the case it would go dead and not come back on, no?
Honda - Accord - Sensors :: 2009 - Airbag Light Stays On / False Seat Belt Indicator
I have an 09 Accord (LX), one day the airbag light (SRS indicator) on the dash would stay on when driving, and the Seatbelt Reminder Indicator would detect the driver's seatbelt isn't engaged, even when it is.
A day later, the seatbelt indicator resumed normal operation, but the SRS light still remained on. I took it to two separate dealers and neither of them could connect to the SRS Control Unit to pull error codes from the onboard computer. They say I need to replace the SRS Control Unit to even begin troubleshooting this problem.
Can I replace my own SRS unit without accidentally triggering my airbags? Where do I order it? How do I make sure it is the correct part? Is it easy? Or I have a separate problem?
Ford 7.3L Power Stroke (1999-2003) :: 2001 F250 - Airbag Indicator Light On For Code 47
About a year ago, my airbag indicator light threw a code 47. It did this for about two days, then it stopped. Fast forward to this weekend, and it started again. From what I can tell, it is the passenger side seat belt pretensioner. It could be a coincidence, but my daughter pulled the seat recline lever without anyone being in the seat, causing it to fly forward as if James Bond was ejecting someone through the windshield. The next time I started my truck, it was throwing the code. I tried to check to see if the plug was knocked loose during the ejection sequence. I thought the connector was under the passenger seat, but I don't see any wiring (the passenger seat is manual). My next guess was behind the glove box, but I'm not sure what I'm looking for.
My truck is a 2001 F250 4x4 Lariat.
Touareg :: Hood Indicator On After Installing Radio
i just installed a low level adapter for a subwoofer in my Egg (non-vav). As i was reinserting the radio the hood indicator came on about 1" before "clicking" into place. I heard this could be a microsensor telling the alarm the radio is missing. I also had the interior lights shut on and off as i was working on to fix the problem.

I replaced my dead battery today. Once the new battery was in everything worked just fine except for the radio. The radio is not in safe mode it is completely dead. The radio worked after my last jump. I had turned it off before replacing the battery. Now it will not turn on and the security light does not blink.
I have checked the fuse and it looks good. I have removed the fuse for a while and put it back in with no luck. Is there a trick to getting it to come back on?
Touareg :: V8 Dead - No Lights / No Chime Except The Radio Still Worked
On Monday morning, I turned the key to my V8 and nothing happened. No lights, no chime, nothing except the radio still worked. I called VW roadside assistance and the AAA guy who came couldn't jump start it. So the truck had to be (in park with the steering wheel locked and the key locked in the ignition) dragged onto a flatbed ...
Now one week later, they still can't figure it out...except to tell me that it's not the battery... I should have bought the Lexus.
Sonata NF (2006-10) :: CD Player And Lights On The Radio Is Dead
All the things radio, CD player and lights on the radio is dead. Cannot find a fuse for the radio. Hyundai Dealer says to bring it in next Tuesday. Says it may have a dead head what ever that means.

So pretty recently the battery in my MK4 GTI went bad and when I put in a new one everything went back to normal except for my radio. The stereo doesn't turn on at all, no power goes too it period. The security light doesn't blink, the buttons don't light up when I switch on my headlights. It didn't ask for a radio security code or anything. I'm not sure how to troubleshoot or what to do at all and when I asked my local stereo shop to fix it they informed me that it would cost $70 an hour for them to "investigate".
I have the stock premium Monsoon radio, the typical double DIN one. Before I changed the battery I tried jumping it and all it did was heat up the jumper cables, not sure if that blew the fuse in the radio.
Passat (B6) :: Main Fuse Blown And Dead Radio
As part of my 2 months saga of a defective transmission (LINK) the main 150 amp fuse between the battery and the alternator was found blown (after the dealer had for a week) and replaced.
Now I picked up my car and the radio will not turn on, does not light up or display anything. Tranny guy said he never tried it, I assume something happened when the main fuse was blown.
I checked both the 5 and 15 Amp fuses in the engine compartment assigned to the radio, both are good.
Is there another fuse inside the radio or something like that?
